The Hazelwell Care Home

It is never easy making the decision to place a loved one into care, but the entire team at Hazelwell genuinely care. The food is all freshly prepared onsite and relatives are always made to feel very welcome and are encouraged to join their loved ones for meals. There are regular trips out and a daily entertainment program.

The Activities they put on for the residents is well coordinated both inside Hazelwell and themed days out in their Mini-bus. Wonderful.

I feel as if for me the staff are friends and I am sincerely thankful to them all for making this stage of my mother 's life as dignified and comfortable as can be .

Hazelwell have looked after Mum brilliantly from the first respite tour, to help settling in and ongoing care. Their all inclusive pricing helps keep things simple. The staff are brilliant and look after Mum well. The home organises regular activities and trips / social events. The home has good facilities and its a great option to be able to book to visit and have lunch with Mum (for a small fee). Without doubt, I'd recommend Hazelwell.

My dad was a resident for 13mths with a terminal diagnosis and was not expected to last as long as he did. We believe the medical care and opportunities to socialise in Hazelwell extended his life. He felt safe, engaged in many activities and his medical need identified and dealt with quickly, leading to a good quality end of life. The staff in Hazelwell care deeply, treating my dad with dignity and as an individual. Our family will be forever grateful- thank you.

While this well appointed home in an excellent location ticks all the boxes, the most important aspect is the staff. In our experience the staff are professional and caring, from the cleaners through to the management. It is a happy place. Apart from my wife currently a resident a close friend received end of life care last year. He was treated with compassion and dignity to the end which was some solace to his family. It is expensive but hard to find fault

I stayed at Hazelwell on respite care after a fall breaking my shoulder I have a neurological condition which impairs my balance and I now live on my own so having care whilst my shoulder healed was essential The location of hazelwell must be one of the best on the Wirral nestling on the edge of the dales My room overlooked the dales and the rivers Dee. The care I received from the carers to the cleaners the chef and the taxi service to appointments was first class ànd I will never forget them all Thank you Hazelwell.

From the moment I arrived at Hazelwell Care Home. I felt safe, secure and welcome. I received excellent care form all staff and I would happily return and to recommend the care home.

I am referring to the Hazelwell Care Home event and apologise for the delay. Everything was set up outside in warm weather but sadly there was flash storm and everything had to be moved inside! Chaos soon was calmed down and the programme continued. The atmosphere was positive and the afternoon ran very well despite being a little cramped. The attention from the staff was superb and they ensured everyone was safe and enjoying themselves. The food provided for refreshment was excellent as usual.

I am being extremely well looked after. I am being consulted about menus for meals, activities, and feel fully at home here. Despite being diagnosed terminal, I am in a happy place due to the general atmosphere and staff attention.

Generally a very good experience over 3 weeks of respite with rooms, care, staff, and food being of top quality and expectations. The meal experience in ground floor dining room was sometimes disappointing as the company was often disinterested in making conversation. I have a suggestion on a separate suggestion form, which might be helpful. Also had a problem with laundry taking many days to reappear or sometimes missing altogether in spite of the best efforts of the staff to locate missing items.

We had a lovely Sunday with live music and old timers show, we could see lovely old cars and relive so many memories. Every Saturday is a Chaturday with interesting information for visitors too. Well done!! I visit my Aunt every two months, coming from Germany. The staff is always very kind, super service, amazing carers.

The management and staff at Hazelwell are so helpful and caring. They give 110% to my mum. Mum is very happy and contented here and is well cared for. Thank you to everyone at Hazelwell for everything you do.

We have been visiting a friend for 4 weeks and have found the staff to be friendly, courteous and helpful. I have observed the staff with residents and have noticed how calm they seem to be with them. My friend is well looked after and his needs are catered for. He is happy with his room and meals. It was lovely to be invited to a celebration of VE Day and participate in the activities. A lovely lunch was provided for residents and guests.

Hazelwell has a warm and homely atmosphere generally.I would recommend it to anyone who requires a secure and loving environment for a loved one.

Residents are engaged and active. I am very reassured to know my aunt is staying here. Staff is helpful and kind.

Wonderful Christmas for all the residents. Plenty of activities and very inclusive. They look after my Mum so well. The staff are supportive and caring.
