Thank you for your lovely comments. The whole team are proud of what we achieve at The Hazelwell.
I was not aware of these issues, so unfortunately not able to investigate them at the time. We have introduced a new cordless phone system so that the seniors and nurses have a phone on them at all times. This issue has also been raised with staff to make sure they are aware of the importance of answering calls. We do have enough staff, this is always a priority however, there are occasions when we are let down by last-minute sickness or the agencies not being able to cover. We also have times when one of our residents is unwell and their care is the priority. I am glad the activities and food where good this is important to us. As you can see from our reviews in general we get it right most of the time, and I am sorry on this occasion we did not meet expectations.
The staff are interested in him as a person, and as a result, he is not only cared for he has gained a whole new extended family.
