My nan was only a resident for 1 week before she passed away and while my nan was in their care she was well looked after and thought of throughout the home. All the staff we met were wonderful and made us all feel welcome we really can't thank all the staff enough for the care and support they gave
to my nan and us as a family. I just wish she had longer there instead of the neglect my nan had to suffer in another care home for 4 months. Thank you Wulfrun Rose Nursing Home.

My mom was sent to this nursing home via the hospital, couldn't have chosen a better place myself. She has a lovely clean room with a TV and bathroom. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. I feel relieved that Mom is in a safe, caring home.

Since dad came to Wulfrun Rose Nursing Home he has been a lot more settled than anywhere. The staff are lovely, and polite and listen to any concerns we have regarding dad and help us in any way they can. This has been the third home dad has been in but the best one, more than happy with their service
and has his daughters more settled knowing he is being looked after so well.

Appalling nursing home. I don’t understand how or why they haven’t completely changed the staff or management.
Completely different experience when they don’t realise family or friends are there, observing.
They only cleaned human waste in the kitchen area because I pointed it out, otherwise, they
were all hoping someone else would do it.

In 2018, sadly, my mum could no longer live independently, so we searched for a nursing home near my sister in Wolverhampton. We visited a number of places, but found them dark and depressing. When we visited Wulfrun Rose, we knew we had found the place for Mum to end her days. Since March 2018, when
Mum arrived at Wulfrun Rose, she has received excellent care, she is treated with the utmost care and respect by everyone. Even during the pressures of Covid, the quality of care continued and does so to this day. In August 2022, Mum deteriorated and the family were called. We too were treated with the utmost respect during the 10-day period Mum recovered. On the 22nd of October 2022, she deteriorated again and we were called - excellent care and treatment too. If you are looking for somewhere for your loved one, you should try Wulfrun Rose Nursing Home.

On multiple occasions, I would visit my grandmother and she was in stained dirty pyjamas from 2/3 days before and be unwashed. I witnessed carers talking over her when tending to her personal care, and not engaging with her or treating her with compassion, making her feel like an object. I documented
occasions of her becoming dehydrated through lack of assistance with drinks, resulting in having infections. We witnessed a dementia resident wandering around and walking into my grandmother's room which frightened her.
Talking to residents like they are children is patronising and does not encourage relationship-building. Just because someone has complex needs and is frail doesn't mean they should be spoken to like they don't know what is going on. It is demeaning. There are some excellent nurses at Wulfrun Rose and my grandmother felt comfortable with them because they treated her like a human being. It's a shame not all staff are the same. Overall a very bad experience, mostly due to poor management.

Thank you for you review. We offer personal care to our residents daily in line with their wishes, needs and desires. When people with capacity refuse care we adhere to their wishes and document this in their care plan. We ask relatives to leave residents' rooms when we are supporting with personal care to maintain privacy and dignity unless it is their explicit wish that relatives stay. This is a rare occurrence and to my knowledge has not happened for a long time. We always assisted people that need assistance. We are unable to force residents to drink if they decline, we do record any refusals. We refer residents to our GP, dietitian and the Speech and Language team when required. I am sure that you can empathise people living with dementia wander at times. We strive to communicate with all our residents in the manner that they prefer. My team and I work together to ensure that all our residents receive a high standard of care, I am sorry that you do not think we achieved this.

I just have to comment that this home is delivering exceptional care in very difficult times. The home is odour free, clean and tidy, the staff are caring, courteous and polite. The management in the home cannot do enough to assist and have always responded to me promptly, I even spoke to the manager
whilst she was at home having a family meal. I just think this home is amazing. The way they care for my relative is second to none and I couldn't ask for them the be placed anywhere better.

I wanted to make this review as I really feel that this home deserves some recognition. Over the past two years, my dearest friend has been a resident here, and at first, I was very dubious. The new manager who started in September 2019 has made such a difference to the home, and the way that things
are. The staff have been amazing all through this Covid Pandemic, and they have kept the residents safe. There have been some minor issues over the last few weeks regarding communication, but again, the staff are working extremely hard to ensure that all people are kept up to date. My friends family could not ask for a better home for their loved one, and my friend tells me all the time how great the home is and what a lovely place to live it is. I thank all the staff greatly for all they are doing, and I thank the manager for all she is doing to keep things running smoothly.
If you are looking for a home for a loved one, then please choose Wulfrun Rose, you won't be disappointed.

My husband has been in the home just over 3 yrs and has always been happy there. During this pandemic, all care and nursing homes are going through a very difficult time, as a family of a resident, we understand how hard they are working. We would like to thank all the staff, Management, Carers, Domestics
and Cooks for their hard work in keeping the residents happy and safe during this difficult time. Going above and beyond their normal duties. As my husband does not like mobile phones and won't use one, special thanks to the receptionist who usually answers the phone when I ring to see how he is doing.
She will always give me a full update as to how he is and what he has been up to. She will also spare the time to go and tell him that I have called and what I have said. This gives me peace of mind. Once again special thank you to all the staff you are amazing and all deserve a gold star for all your hard work and caring attitude.

I dropped some belongings off at the home today for my mother in law. I was made so welcome even though I wasn't allowed to enter the reception. The staff were friendly and polite and enjoyed chatting with me for a few minutes. They took the time to ask how I was and how the Family were coping during
this COVID19 lockdown, even though I know they were busy.
Prior to the lockdown, we were always happy with this home but it is still an excellent home for people even under difficult circumstances.
I can't wait till we can visit again and thank all the staff in person for keeping our loved one safe and for being brilliant through all of this.

I have been visiting this home for several years and my grandmother has always been happy. The COVID lockdown has affected us all but I am very happy with the way that the home is working through this to ensure that my grandmother is well and happy. The recent activities went above and beyond what I
could've hoped for in a care home. I am extremely pleased with all the staff and the management. The manager recently sorted out some family issues for us and I am so grateful for her help and assistance. She didn't have to go as far as she did and in her personal time also. This home is always clean and fresh and the staff are always working hard. There will be times when things could be better but unless these things are discussed how can the home put things in place to improve. People are entitled to their opinion, as far as I'm concerned the home can do no more and I think the staff deserve gold medals for what they do. It has a good with CQC rating but I personally think it's outstanding.

I previously visited this home prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic and always found it to be warm and welcoming. I always try to ensure that I keep up to date with what's going on at the home so that I know that my parishioner's are well. It was lovely to see all the activities on the social media sites
over the last few weeks and I thought that it was absolutely amazing how the virtual cruise was set up. It was such a pleasure to see so many smiling happy faces. I had the good fortune to be allowed a one-off visit to deliver a short service to one of my parishioner's who is end of life at the home, to see her looking so well cared for and so happy gives me such joy in my heart. The care is really outstanding at this home and the home manager is always available to speak if required, I do not know how she handles everything so smoothly and all the staff are so hardworking. I keep you all in my prayers and God Bless you all.

Sadly let my dad, 81, down. He was placed here on advice by a social worker. There was a safeguarding concern where his back door alarm at night wasn’t set. That allowed my dad to walk out with his packed bag at 3.45 am, we weren’t notified until approximately 7 am. He looked awful and worse than when
he went in. He refused to go back and when we collected his tablets later we were given someone else’s! We had mixed messages from the care manager saying she couldn’t cope to the daycare staff saying he’s been no trouble. Lack of communication! We are now reporting the care home.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you felt the care given to your father was unsatisfactory on his short respite stay with us. A full investigation into the circumstances was carried out and this has been fed back to the CQC and social services. The incident was found not to meet the threshold for safeguarding. Many changes were made to the home upon Dad's arrival to try and make sure that he was safe at all times due to being an absconsion risk. I can assure you that I spoke to you as soon as I arrived at the home that morning and there were no mixed messages from myself. The time that Dad stayed with us was a pleasant one of which we have many photographs and videos of him participating and enjoying himself. If you wish to discuss any of the concerns you had regarding Dad's stay then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

This is a difficult time at present for all care providers and families. However, today I was extremely appreciative that this home took the time to contact all family members to let us know that events were going on in the home that our loved one was taking part in. We also had photos sent to us afterwards
to show the events. This home goes above and beyond in their caring and their involvement of families and friends. I can't say enough how happy we are that our mother is in this home. It's wonderful.

Just been to drop some things off in the foyer of the home for my friend and can see that there are lots going on today. The staff just informed me that they are having races for ascot with staff as the riders on mop horses! how good is that. The things that the staff do at this home is amazing. I know
my friend loves living here and she has always said its a home from home.
