I wanted to make this review as I really feel that this home deserves some recognition. Over the past two years, my dearest friend has been a resident here, and at first, I was very dubious. The new manager who started in September 2019 has made such a difference to the home, and the way that things are. The staff have been amazing all through this Covid Pandemic, and they have kept the residents safe. There have been some minor issues over the last few weeks regarding communication, but again, the staff are working extremely hard to ensure that all people are kept up to date. My friends family could not ask for a better home for their loved one, and my friend tells me all the time how great the home is and what a lovely place to live it is. I thank all the staff greatly for all they are doing, and I thank the manager for all she is doing to keep things running smoothly.

If you are looking for a home for a loved one, then please choose Wulfrun Rose, you won't be disappointed.

My husband has been in the home just over 3 yrs and has always been happy there. During this pandemic, all care and nursing homes are going through a very difficult time, as a family of a resident, we understand how hard they are working. We would like to thank all the staff, Management, Carers, Domestics and Cooks for their hard work in keeping the residents happy and safe during this difficult time. Going above and beyond their normal duties. As my husband does not like mobile phones and won't use one, special thanks to the receptionist who usually answers the phone when I ring to see how he is doing.

She will always give me a full update as to how he is and what he has been up to. She will also spare the time to go and tell him that I have called and what I have said. This gives me peace of mind. Once again special thank you to all the staff you are amazing and all deserve a gold star for all your hard work and caring attitude.

I dropped some belongings off at the home today for my mother in law. I was made so welcome even though I wasn't allowed to enter the reception. The staff were friendly and polite and enjoyed chatting with me for a few minutes. They took the time to ask how I was and how the Family were coping during this COVID19 lockdown, even though I know they were busy.
Prior to the lockdown, we were always happy with this home but it is still an excellent home for people even under difficult circumstances.
I can't wait till we can visit again and thank all the staff in person for keeping our loved one safe and for being brilliant through all of this.

Dear Home Manager, you have a fantastic home and team.

I have been visiting this home for several years and my grandmother has always been happy. The COVID lockdown has affected us all but I am very happy with the way that the home is working through this to ensure that my grandmother is well and happy. The recent activities went above and beyond what I could've hoped for in a care home. I am extremely pleased with all the staff and the management. The manager recently sorted out some family issues for us and I am so grateful for her help and assistance. She didn't have to go as far as she did and in her personal time also. This home is always clean and fresh and the staff are always working hard. There will be times when things could be better but unless these things are discussed how can the home put things in place to improve. People are entitled to their opinion, as far as I'm concerned the home can do no more and I think the staff deserve gold medals for what they do. It has a good with CQC rating but I personally think it's outstanding.

I previously visited this home prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic and always found it to be warm and welcoming. I always try to ensure that I keep up to date with what's going on at the home so that I know that my parishioner's are well. It was lovely to see all the activities on the social media sites over the last few weeks and I thought that it was absolutely amazing how the virtual cruise was set up. It was such a pleasure to see so many smiling happy faces. I had the good fortune to be allowed a one-off visit to deliver a short service to one of my parishioner's who is end of life at the home, to see her looking so well cared for and so happy gives me such joy in my heart. The care is really outstanding at this home and the home manager is always available to speak if required, I do not know how she handles everything so smoothly and all the staff are so hardworking. I keep you all in my prayers and God Bless you all.

Sadly let my dad, 81, down. He was placed here on advice by a social worker. There was a safeguarding concern where his back door alarm at night wasn’t set. That allowed my dad to walk out with his packed bag at 3.45 am, we weren’t notified until approximately 7 am. He looked awful and worse than when he went in. He refused to go back and when we collected his tablets later we were given someone else’s! We had mixed messages from the care manager saying she couldn’t cope to the daycare staff saying he’s been no trouble. Lack of communication! We are now reporting the care home.

This is a difficult time at present for all care providers and families. However, today I was extremely appreciative that this home took the time to contact all family members to let us know that events were going on in the home that our loved one was taking part in. We also had photos sent to us afterwards to show the events. This home goes above and beyond in their caring and their involvement of families and friends. I can't say enough how happy we are that our mother is in this home. It's wonderful.

Just been to drop some things off in the foyer of the home for my friend and can see that there are lots going on today. The staff just informed me that they are having races for ascot with staff as the riders on mop horses! how good is that. The things that the staff do at this home is amazing. I know my friend loves living here and she has always said its a home from home.

I have visited my uncle in this home over the years and in his previous homes before this one. I have always felt that this home suits his previous lifestyle and that he should have been here earlier. However, he has spent the last few years of his life being cared for by a wonderful team, and I can't say thank you enough for all the love and care that they have given him.
The care is very person-centred, and as I work in the health environment myself, I know how hard it is to get it right. This home is doing a wonderful job, and I highly commend them.

At this difficult time when visitors are not permitted into the home for everyone's safety, I am highly thankful that I was allowed to PPE up myself and pop in for a few minutes as my uncle had deteriorated and I'm happy to say I saw he was being cared for to the fullest extent. Thank you for letting me have that time with him.

I cannot thank this home enough for the care and commitment that they are giving to all the residents and the local elderly people in the community. The care in the home has always been exceptional and now this is overflowing into the local community. Fantastic team from top to bottom left to right and any which way round. If I need a care home in the future I know this is the one I'll choose. Thank you for making my community better by being in it.

I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for a home for their loved one. I have been very impressed with the care that they give my grandmother. They treat her with respect and dignity and she is extremely happy and settled.

Recently there have been brilliant entertainers and arts and craft projects going on and I was blown away this week to see living eggs delivered and baby chicks in the home. It was totally amazing and my grandmother can't stop talking about how much fun she's having.

I have just spent a very pleasant day visiting an old friend of mine at Wulfrun Rose. Her family informed me that she had been moved there after becoming unwell and my thoughts were 'oh dear, a care home'. However, from the point of arrival to the point of leaving, I have not experienced such a warm welcome nor witnessed such devoted and caring staff. The staff team were very pleasant and polite and offered me drinks and even lunch whilst I was there and the care and interaction they showed were second to none. My friend was settled and comfortable and expressed to me that she felt at home with no worries or concerns whatsoever. The family have obviously made the right choice in selecting Wulfrun Rose as the place for their mother and I am happy to say I would visit again most readily and if ever I needed such care then I know where I'm going. A big thank you to the manager and staff for the atmosphere that you have created within this home.

I was worried initially when I was told that my mother had to come to a nursing home as I wanted her in a hospice for her end of life.

But I was pleasantly surprised when my mother was admitted. The care staff couldn't do enough for her and her last few weeks were peaceful and dignified. The whole experience was made a calming one and I cannot thank the home enough for their support through this time.

I have been visiting my brother at Wulfrun Rose now for some years and I have to say that I am impressed in the changes I have seen over the recent months. The home has always been caring and considerate and I have never had any worries over my brothers wellbeing. These last few months though, I have seen increased awareness from staff in how they interact with the residents and they seem to show a deeper understanding of their needs. On questioning the staff, they have informed me that they feel supported and valued by the manager and the senior team and this has uplifted them. The home was clean and tidy, the manager and staff were friendly and sociable and the whole atmosphere was positive. The improvements have turned a good home into a warm and loving home. From the top tier to the bottom, the staff care and that shows.

Wow is all I can say about this home. My mother has been a resident here for some years and has always been settled and comfortable but I always worried about leaving and felt that something was lacking. However, changes have been happening over the last few months and I can now see a real difference in the environment and feel a real difference in the atmosphere. The manager has worked hard to introduce some new processes and I think they are starting to see the results. The staff are very caring and show my mother a lot of patience. I think the home is moving forward at a lovely pace and look forward to seeing what comes next.
