My Mum spent the last 3 years of her life at Kiwi House where she was loved as well as cared for. As her condition deteriorated the staff adapted their support to ensure that right until the last day of her life she lived life to the full. The whole team are amazing and not only do they support the residents but the families too.
It means a great deal to hear that your mum was cared for with such compassion throughout her time at Kiwi House. We're especially pleased that both your mum and your family...
My Mum Has Been A Resident Here AT Kiwi House For 2 1/2 Years. She gets the best care and is well looked after by all the staff. She loves the Home as if it were her own. The staff and management have always had the best interests of my Mum. I can't thank them enough - such a brilliant team

Kiwi House have always been attentive to her needs, making sure they treated her with respect.
They had a person-centred approach, which showed in the individual approach to each resident.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Kiwi House. We are so pleased to hear that your mother was treated with respect, dignity, and attentiveness since joining us in December 2022.
We are now probably in the last few weeks of her life, and the way they are looking after Mom is exemplary.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. It means a great deal to us to hear that your mum has been so well cared for during her time at Kiwi House.
Overall, a good experience. Staff go over and above. Sometimes feels 'short-staffed' but managed well. Very friendly. Activity agenda exceptional. Food generally good but occasionally questionable. Everyone I've encountered has been helpful and kind.
We also value your honest feedback regarding the food, as this helps us continue improving the experience we provide. Thank you again for taking the time to share your comments - it means a great deal to our whole team.
Both of my parents have been residents at Kiwi House for 18 months now, and I am delighted with the flexibility shown by the management and senior caregivers of the home. This flexibility has allowed them to stay together despite one needing memory care and one not. The rooms are lovely and spacious with room for their personal effects. The caregivers are unfailingly friendly and pleasant with big smiles. They always greet residents by their first names. My parents love the little garden with the path around it. There are many activities for them to join in if they want to, and a special celebration with a singer included "their" chosen songs because it was their anniversary. It seems as if management and caregivers really do know each individual's needs and situation and are responsive and supportive towards family members if there are any issues or questions.
Everyone very concerned to do their best for the residents. Sometimes- eg meals, staff change over pressure on staff. At mealtimes residents sometimes overwhelmed by food/drink etc.
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We're so pleased to hear that you feel our team is committed to doing their very best for residents-that means a lot to us. We also appreciate your observations about mealtimes and staff changeovers. We understand how these times can feel busy and, on...
On 5th July Kiwi House held 'Kiwi Fest', a day festival of music and entertainment for the residents, and their family and friends. What a fantastic event. The music and entertainment were excellent and there was glitter stands, food stalls as well as singing and dancing. The garden was decorated with streamers and balloons and the patio turned into a stage. It was fantastic because Kiwi provided us with such a happy relaxed environment to share fun times with our loved ones. I am sure an amazing amount of effort has gone into preparing and delivering the day, top marks! As well as this event, over the past 2 months Mum has had trips out to a riding school for afternoon tea and Newstead Abbey for a picnic, again lovely activities she has really enjoyed. All the staff we deal with are so helpful, kind and caring. I would recommend Kiwi House to others who may be looking for a care home that both cares and is a home.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review of our recent 'Kiwi Fest'! We are thrilled to hear that you and your loved ones had such a wonderful time enjoying the music, entertainment, and festive atmosphere we created for the occasion. We truly appreciate your acknowledgment of the effort our team...

Entering Kiwi House you immediately feel the warm and friendly atmosphere. Kiwi House is a relatively new building with wide corridors and plush carpets. The staff are loving and caring and do their utmost to make their residents comfortable and content. I highly recommend Kiwi House Care Home.

When I describe Kiwi House to people I say it's "like a cruise ship on land". The facilities, care, atmosphere, food, and entertainment are all excellent. The whole team at Kiwi House have been incredibly caring and supportive during this significant change.

My Dad has now been a resident at Kiwi House for 18 months. He is well looked after by caring and hard-working staff throughout the home, who go above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy and comfortable. The team work hard to get to know the residents, and appreciate that they all have different needs and likes. They make Kiwi feel homely and safe and, therefore, give me peace of mind that Dad is getting the best care. I struggled with Dad moving into a home, but the support I've also received, and continue to receive, has been amazing.

My mother-in-law visited Kiwi House for two weeks of respite care. The staff were extremely welcoming and made her feel at home straight away. What really singles the home out is the excellent activities programme and the thought and imagination that is put into this! She really enjoyed taking part. The rooms and garden are all lovely and allow residents to have their own space, particularly when they have visitors. My grandchildren loved the garden. She will be back!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Kiwi House Care Home. We are thrilled to hear that your mother-in-law felt welcome and at home during her respite stay and that she and her grandchildren enjoyed the activities programme and the gardens. My mum is very happy here. Thoroughly enjoying the food and likes her room.

As a family, we struggled with the concept of moving Dad into care, it's never an easy decision, but we knew it was in his best interest.
Dad settled in so quickly because the staff did make it home from home, making the transition into care so much easier.
Over the last 2+ years, the care Dad received was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, and we always felt fully informed and consulted. The biggest indicator was that Dad always had a cheeky smile because he was genuinely happy and felt cared for.
Thank you feels inadequate when I think of the connection that the team had with Dad. They genuinely shared our grief and loss because, yes he was our Dad, but he was clearly a big part of the Kiwi family.
Forever grateful - thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Kiwi House Care Home. We couldn't be happier to know that you felt your dad's care was amazing and that he genuinely felt happy and cared for. He was a big part of the Kiwi family and he will be missed by everyone. Thank you.
The care he received we cannot fault, even though his deteriorating health came needing more and more care and help from the staff and team.
The team kept us fully informed on everything, if there was any minor issue it was sorted and feedback given. The staff were so caring, especially towards the end of his life and his passing. Our family were so deeply moved that three of Dad's main carers came in on their day off to say their last goodbyes to him and another turned up after hearing of his passing it says an awful lot about the staff employed at the home.
As Dad was so happy there we have actually decided his funeral should leave from Kiwi House as that was his home for the past 2 years it will also give the incredible team a chance to say goodbye to him.
I cannot thank the care home enough for all the care they gave our Dad.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Kiwi House Care Home. We are so pleased to hear that you feel it was the best decision you ever made was choose Kiwi House as your dad's home and that he was happy here from day one. Your dad will be missed by everyone here at Kiwi House. Thank you.
