Kiwi House Care Home

My mother-in-law visited Kiwi House for two weeks of respite care. The staff were extremely welcoming and made her feel at home straight away. What really singles the home out is the excellent activities programme and the thought and imagination that is put into this! She really enjoyed taking part. The rooms and garden are all lovely and allow residents to have their own space, particularly when they have visitors. My grandchildren loved the garden. She will be back!

My mum is very happy here. Thoroughly enjoying the food and likes her room.

After a difficult settling-in period, which I feel staff, care and management dealt with well, Mum, who has advanced dementia, relaxed a bit and settled in. This was due to kind, thoughtful care staff who listened to her and respected her. She was in respite care for two weeks and ultimately I feel she had a good experience. The care home is well run and the staff are caring. We will be back.

First time visiting the home, easy to find and park. I was welcomed at the door by friendly staff. Was shown to the couple that I was visiting in their room. Throughout my visit I found the home welcoming and friendly.

I highly recommend Kiwi House.

I visit the care home for two people, although my sister-in-law uses the facility twice weekly I have a childhood friend who is now a resident. The staff have always been attentive, polite and caring at all times. I have been concerned about my friend but the staff have put me at ease because they have been helpful to my friend. My sister-in-law goes through a routine of not being sure of going into the main room but the staff have been helpful and she has been able to overcome this hurdle. The home has always been clean and does not have the stale smell of nursing homes. I have been a nurse and understand the importance of working in a caring and understanding facility.

Dad has recently been admitted to the home and received a very warm welcome. The staff I spoke to enjoy working in the home and this showed with their tremendous attitude.

Thank you to all of the staff who cared for my uncle during his time in Kiwi House. Nothing was too much trouble for them to sort out.

Mum has been in Kiwi House Care Home for just over three years. During that time, she has been very happy and healthy. Mum enjoys the living arrangements and particularly the food! It is the staff that make Kiwi House a home; they treat Mum with kindness and as a person who needs some support and understanding. The staff have got to know Mum and her family and this makes life a lot easier for all of us. Today was Mum's 90th birthday. The birthday arrangements made by the staff were fabulous and it felt like a very special day, thank you.

Both of my parents went into Kiwi House for 2 weeks respite care. Both in their 90s, my father was struggling to look after my mother with her increasing dementia, and several medical issues. My father is also severely disabled. The decision to try the home was done in a hurry, but the home accepted my parents in a very warm and welcoming manner. The staff were absolutely excellent; very caring and cheerful. My parents report that attention to the call buttons was always very quick, the meals were excellent, and the facilities marvellous. Unfortunately, the second week of their stay was marred by an infection of covid into the home, and the floor they were on had to be isolated from the rest! The care taken by the staff to try and prevent the infection from spreading was extremely good, although it did mean of course that visiting was suspended ... quite correctly. My parents are full of praise for Kiwi House.

I walked into the care home and it looked luxurious. The staff were friendly and the residents seemed well looked after. The home seemed well managed and every staff member had a smile on their face. 5 stars.

My mother needed urgent care, Kiwi House responded immediately and my mother took up residence within a couple of days of her assessment. All the staff are extremely friendly and caring making her transition into her new home really straightforward, the facilities are excellent and she is really enjoying the varied activity program.

The house was clean, comfortable and welcoming.

My family and I have had plenty of great visits with my dad and the food is excellent.
