I arrived from Llandoch. At Ty Llandaff, I experienced excellent care throughout. The food and kitchen staff have all been friendly and accommodating, as were the others including events, nursing, laundry cleaning etc. The atmosphere is calm when necessary and happy during games time etc. I am leaving
feeling happy and rested. The food is of a high quality and served attractively. There is a good variety and having asked for vegetarian options in meals, I had good variety attractively served. I go home happy.

Attended Ty Llandaff in response to my request for a package - left hospital after right hip replacement - the building was in superb condition. The food is excellent, cleanliness top notch. Laundry facilities provided (clothes labelled) every member of staff I came across treated me with respect and
kindness. I felt this was a good way to assist my rehabilitation - I cannot express my thanks in any other way.

I would like to say that I have never seen or had experience of a place such as this. In a few words, the staff and management are totally there 100% for the guests. They treat them with total respect and loyalty to them. My wife had a cry and told me that everybody is so kind and understanding. The
accommodation is on a par with the best hotels. They look after the physical and mental wellbeing of every resident or guest as they like to refer to them. I could go on and on and on. They are so good.

I have nothing but the highest praise for the care, facilities and kindness of all staff employed at Ty Llandaff home. Their dedication to the difficult jobs they have to attend to is way above what I thought I would receive when I first arrived.

I enjoyed it here but needed a bit longer than 12 days. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I would like to thank a lady there without her help I wouldn't have been here. Thanks to all the staff, doctors and the lovely meals and cake and all the other staff.

This is a lovely, beautiful care home in the tranquillity of the suburb of Llandaff.
Staff are very caring and will do their utmost to fulfil all your needs.

My experience of this place is exactly the same as my previous time here. The food delicious, the staff incredibly caring and supportive, the bedroom great with its large en suite. Every aspect of Ty Llandaff is caring and comfortable and delivered in a high class environment.

My father has spent time at Thank you Llandaff over the past few months. The care and attention he has received has been exceptional. He has stayed at a few other car homes by Ty Llandaff is far superior in all aspects - the care, the attentive staff, the food is prepared by an in-house chef, the bedrooms
and living areas. It's a first class, wonderful environment.

My father has now been at Ty Llandaff for over a month and we are so very pleased to have chosen this home for him. The experienced staff have all been wonderful – patient, caring and kind. The manager is always welcoming to us all visiting and nothing is ever too much trouble. The décor is beautiful
and it is like a five-star boutique hotel with comfy bedrooms, communal areas for visitors to enjoy with residence a cinema room (great atmosphere during 6 Nations rugby games) as well as a gym and a salon for some pampering. The food is delicious and the chef has been fantastic in getting to know my father and working together with him to build up his appetite again after a long time in the hospital. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

My mother is staying at Ty Llandaff after being very ill in hospital for 5 months. I have to say the home is excellent. The staff are so nice and friendly and I feel I can discuss any worries or questions with them. The food is mouthwatering, with top class chefs. I wish I could live here. The rooms
are excellent. They are comfortable, cosy and warm. Patients are taken out for walks so they can have some fresh air. The facilities at the home are outstanding. It has a cinema and gym amongst other things so patients can enjoy their stay. This is a fantastic home and I highly recommend it. Thanks Ty Llandaff.

The care in this home is second to none. The staff are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. They are very pleasant, with a light-hearted atmosphere.
The meals cannot be faulted, my mother has nothing but praise for the chef.
All the rooms are light and airy and the cleanliness is excellent.

I have worked in the care industry for over 30 years and have extensive experience across the sector. My career to date has been working with local authorities, charity and the private sector, in residential and Nursing Home settings, Day Services and Supported Living. It has been a privilege to care for our elderly and I have had the pleasure of a lifetime of stories and memories in my journey.


I strive for excellence, my door is always open, the values of the Care Concern Group and what I am committed to delivering, care of the highest standard, the basic principles of care I very much respect, and dignity is of the highest priority.


I am a very passionate carer, and endeavour to drive quality in the service for those in our care, with the combined support from staff, families, local authority commissioning teams, health care professionals and regulators.

Sue is an avid reader of any genre except horror and loves to spend time with her four beautiful dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys going away with her partner in their caravan all around the country – her favourite places are Ceredigion and Cornwall.

My name is James Newing, I have over twenty years of catering experience.


I trained at the Celtic Manor resort gaining my qualifications in NVQ 1,2,3 and 4. I worked my way up to the level of Sous chef during my time and helped cater for such events as the NATO summit and Ryder cup.


I took on my first head chef role for Brains working at the Ty Mawr in Lisvane for two years.


I left then to become a Catering Manager at St Joseph’s Hospital in Newport.


I then became Head chef of Pentwyn house care home in Marshfield until I became Head chef here at Ty Llandaff.
I’m very passionate about food and have taken on an allotment which I and my young children enjoy spending time at, it’s very important for me to teach them to respect food and know where it comes from and how it is grown.


I find my work at Ty Llandaff very rewarding and it’s a pleasure to provide healthy, nutritious meals for the residents.
