The service my dad and I and my brother received was second to none and I am enternally grateful to the whole team for this. All staff were friendly, professional and unfailingly kind. Dad was at Ty Llandaff for what proved to be the final 11 days of his life. The staff made things as comfortable as possible, for him and for us, his close family. Perhaps our only regret is that dad did not get to use what were clearly excellent facilities more. The quiet spaces, inside and immediately outside Ty Llandaff Care Home, were so helpfull in allowing dad's visitors to take valuable downtime of their own.

The staff at Ty Landaff Care Home are second to none. My father was in a very complicated situation and staff were so professional, caring, reassuring and listened. His admission from hospital to the care home went wonderfully considering I could not be present due to an emergency. My father's care needs are met and the constantly are evaluating in case anything changes. They are always available on phone + email and willing to accomodate considering I live in London. I know my father is safe, well looked after and content.

Ty Llandaff is amazing. If you are looking for the best professional care for your loved one, look no further. Sadly, my mother died at the end of September, but the last 15 months in Ty Llandaff have been the happiest time for her. The care of staff, the activities, the food, the social aspect, and the individual attention made her so happy. The dignified care during her last days was overwhelming. The support offered to us, her family, was incredible. I will miss seeing everybody there. Ty Llandaff is outstanding in all aspects. A true home from home. Thank you.

My friend has been a resident for 2 years at ty Llandaff and he was really not happy to leave his home .He is now content there the carers are all so caring and friendly and do there best to give above and beyond care to him.They always make us welcome and we have formed a lovely bond with all members of staff .

My partner came into Ty Llandaff 4 weeks ago, which broke my heart. I felt very down about him being away from me. After 2 weeks, he was a changed man, which made me feel so much better than I had done the right thing. He has 24 hour care, the staff are all great, could be in a better care home.

I was admitted in early June 2025 having had no previous care home experience but have found Ty Llandaff to be a warm and very caring environment. All the staff and management are sincerely friendly while keeping a professional manner, though I have found a lot of them possess a sense of humour worth having in the sort of work they do. I have been surprised at the height of level of service provided at Ty Llandaff and the lengths members of staff will go to just to ensure a resident is made to feel happy. The Staff here are truly wonderful in the work they do and the way they do it!

The team are wonderful at supporting residents in their declining years right across the board : from those requiring gentle support to those with more advancing disabilities.
Whilst decline is inevitable with Alzheimer's patients, the team at Ty Llandaff treat my mother with respect and great care, enabling her to find joy at each stage.It's wonderful that we can once again see her 'spark' has returned and she is connecting with life and the friends she has made here.

When it became time for my brother to move from his home to a care home I already knew where. Ty Llandaff had already been highly recommended by friends and family. My expectations were high when I made my first visit but I was not disappointed. Every single member of staff were welcoming and interested to know all about my brother and eager to meet him. It's still early days but my brother has settled well and is much happier.

My mother was a short resident at this home. In my experience my mum had excellent care. Not only did they tend to my mum's end of life they also gave the whole family care, which is a large family. The care, dignity and support was excellent. The home is beautiful and the staff (management and carers) treated us all with kindness and were very professional throughout our experience.

My mum stayed at this care home and can't praise this home enough. They were wonderful to our family while my mum was just a short-term resident there. All management and staff were caring to all the family and especially to our mum who had extremely excellent care while in her end-of-life stay there. We are a very large family which on times there were a lot of us there and all staff and management were very professional. Not only did they care for our mum they looked after all her family. The care home is very beautiful and our mum's room was always kept very clean as was our mum. This was the first nursing home that we visited and knew we did not have to look anywhere else for our mum to be cared for.

I left then to become a Catering Manager at St Joseph’s Hospital in Newport.
I then became Head chef of Pentwyn house care home in Marshfield until I became Head chef here at Ty Llandaff.I’m very passionate about food and have taken on an allotment which I and my young children enjoy spending time at, it’s very important for me to teach them to respect food and know where it comes from and how it is grown.

Joseph Joined Ty Llandaff in 2022 as an oversees pre-registered Nurse, with the support of the team at Ty Llandaff, Joseph progressed in his role and successfully completed his OSCE exam and is proudly practising as a nurse in the home, Joseph is a valued member of the Team and has recently welcomed his family to Wales too.
Nicola Has worked at Ty Llandaff for 7 years, as one of the original staff members. Nicola is a hard-working dedicated staff member with a great sense of humour, Nicola is very organised, a great source of knowledge and a much-loved team member.
