My dad has been welcomed to The Amwell and feels very happy, comfortable and cared for in his new home. The staff have all been exceptionally supportive throughout the process and we highly recommend The Amwell as a care home. Dad particularly likes the food and the opportunities to go out.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to hear that your dad has settled so well into life at The Amwell and is feeling happy, comfortable, and cared for. It is wonderful to know that our team has been able to support both your dad and your family throughout the...
Our initial interview was excellent, professional and informative. we were impressed with the daily activities planned.
Dad's room was clean and tidy. Staff were accommodating moving furniture and putting up pictures. Dad felt happy and well cared for.
As a care home we would recommend, providing good care and facilities. The staff, though sometimes under pressure were absolutely delightful, patient and caring, giving time.
We did feel improvements could be made in the area of 'end of life care'. It would have been beneficial, for us as relatives and the staff to have one person on each shift overseeing the care of those at end of life. Communication was protracted on occasion and staff were sometimes unaware of Dad's situation.
Senior management was excellent, hands on when needed.
Your kind comments about our team's patience, compassion, and dedication mean a great deal. Caring for residents and supporting their families during significant life changes is a responsibility we...
My dad was at the Amwell for 17 months . I can not fault the care he received. All the staff were caring and friendly even when he became quite challenging with his dementia. From reception staff to cleaning staff everybody was welcoming and always took time to talk to us. The Amwell has a truly dedicated team that care about your loved ones.
Hi Amanda, thank you for your kind words. Your Dad was a pleasure to support, and is greatly missed at The Amwell.
Excellent care given to my father in law during 5 1/2 months he was at Amwell. The staff are all wonderful.
Our team is dedicated to providing a warm, supportive and compassionate environment for every resident, and it...
My father moved into Amwell last summer, as he was finding it increasingly difficult to look after himself in his own home. He loved it! The food, and especially the staff, who were kind, smiling and helpful at all times. When his health deteriorated, the staff continued to show kindness and compassion, even in the most difficult circumstances. I cannot recommend Amwell and its staff highly enough.
Our team works hard to create a warm, homely environment where every...
From the moment you set foot through the door you are warmly greeted, and have refreshments available there and then, and as you get further into the home you see the pride taken to ensure the home is spotless, and smells incredible. The residents always appear presentable and well looked after, and when I have visited at mealtimes the food always looks and smells delicious, the staff are always courteous and polite and from my experience treat the residents with the upmost dignity and respect, there is a brilliant activities programme each week and I have often seen some excellent musical performances. What more could you hope for those we love dearly?
To summarise, The Amwell is truly fantastic and I have witnessed it go from strength-to-strength over recent months in particular. Thank you to all at the home for your continued hard work!
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your aunt feels well cared for and that you appreciate the efforts of our team. Maintaining a welcoming environment and providing engaging activities is very important to us, and your comments mean a lot. We will share your kind words with the staff. Thank you for your continued support.
My mother was in The Amwell for three and a half years, and the staff were nothing less than brilliant during that time. Though I have nothing to compare it with, I find it difficult to believe that she would have had any better care elsewhere.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a great deal to hear that your mother felt so well cared for during her time at The Amwell. Our team is deeply committed to providing compassionate and dignified support, and knowing that it made a difference to your family is truly heartening. Were honoured to have been part of her journey.
Very welcoming. Nice reception area. Staff on reception very welcoming and friendly. Impression when first entering was very pleasant. Car park very small for the size of care home didn't see any staff or the room as person had other visitors so cannot comment, but they seemed very happy.
Thank you so much for your kind review of the facilities at the Amwell and your experience when visiting the home.
Each time we visit we are made welcome & are kept up to date on anything we should be aware of.
We find it reassuring that there is an open door policy so we are able to discuss any concerns we may have.
The home is warm, clean & tidy, the activities team work hard to ensure residents are involved, holding lots of different events to cater for everyone's needs. The mature gardens & patio area, overlooking the river is a relaxing place to sit & also hosts games, gardening & refreshments under the canopy & band stand.
My mother is very settled & happy at Amwell she is well looked after, enjoys her meals & has also made friends with many of the residents, for this we are very grateful.
Thank you for such a lovely review. The staff at The Amwell always strive to provide compassionate and Person Centred Care and I will ensure I share this with the team.

From the moment my Grandma moved in to The Amwell, the staff have made her feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home. Everyone is kind, patient, and genuinely caring.
The facilities are always clean and welcoming, and there are plenty of engaging activities that keep residents happy and involved. My Grandma particularly enjoys the weekly bingo sessions, and it's means lot to us to see happy in a loving environment.
Knowing she is in such good hands gives our family peace of mind. We are so grateful for the incredible team and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality elderly care.

My family member had to come to the amwell care home while he got better from a nasty accident, all the staff was brilliant even the housekeepers, they always make time to talk with the residents and make sure they are OK.i would recommend this place to other people.
Thank you for such a lovely review, we are really proud of The Amwell and delighted that the care your loved one received was at the high standard we always ensure our residents achieve. I am also delighted they have now recovered.
My dad was extremely well cared for during his respite stay at The Amwell - he was happy and also very interested in the extra events. Not only were his care requirements met efficiently and promptly but the kindness and empathy of the staff was evident. For his family, visits were in a pleasant environment and great to be able to enjoy a coffee with Dad in the Riverside lounge or garden. The management were very professional and helped at all stages of his admission and stay, facilitating extra requests promptly and in a friendly, understanding way. One could not ask for a better welcome... thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We will pass on the comments to the staff that looked after your dad. We really appreciate you taking the time to review Dad's stay. If we can be of service to you in the near future please do not hesitate to contact us.
Our aunty has had a new lease of life since coming to The Amwell. Cannot fault service and care. After losing her husband she was low in spirit, and her health was deteriorating. Since coming here her mood has uplifted. She has reunited with old friends and made new ones. Overall we are so pleased she has found a wonderful environment, with staff that look after her.
Thank you for your kind review of your aunt. We will ensure the staff team accept your kind comments. I am so happy to hear that your aunt is enjoying the services here at The Amwell. Thank you once again.
I would like to say the care home is very welcoming and it is always a pleasure to be greeted by a friendly receptionist. The Amwell is clean, tidy, pleasant and has lovely staff. The receptionist is very kind and helpful.

Everywhere is lovely and clean my mum's cousin has a lovely room and seems to be happy there. The facilities are great, coffee bar etc. A wonderful place; it's safe, and the residents all seem to be happy. Well done, Amwell.
