The home is like a 5-star hotel. You name it, it has it and more. More care homes should be built with the Amwell in mind.
My wife has been at The Amwell Care Home for two weeks and my daughter and I have noticed a difference in her attitude. She looks more relaxed. This I believe is due to her not being in bed all day and the support and attention she is receiving from the staff. On a personal statement, it is so pleasing to sit in pleasant surroundings that are fresh and clean looking.
We moved my dad to be nearer to us. The Amwell Care Home staff have all been great with his move from another home. He seems to be settling well and staff are friendly. He had not had a bath/shower for over two years with his other care home. The Amwell Care Home have gone above and beyond to make sure he can have baths again and he loves having a bath. I couldn't speak more highly of the staff at The Amwell Care Home.
My mother has just had a long weekend respite stay at the Amwell Care Home. From her initial guided tour to the managers detailed home visit to establish her needs and requirements, to her booking into her room and meeting the staff and her stay incorporating activities, hair salon and nail appointment. General good all around care catering for her dementia needs made her stay enjoyable, and also reassuring for me and my family. Well done to all at Amwell and my mother will undoubtedly enjoy another respite stay again.
The Amwell has very dedicated care, and support staff, and some have very special qualities in the way they deliver their care and interaction with the residents. We as a family wish the Amwell every success for the future and would highly recommend it to other people in need of nursing, residential or dementia care.
Mum moved into The Amwell Care Home in the middle of March we as a family have been very impressed with the facilities and all the staff. Every time we visit we are greeted warmly by all the staff and offered drinks and refreshments. Mum has settled really well and is extremely well cared for and treated with dignity.
I recently had his first respite care at the newly opened Amwell care home in Melton Mowbry whilst I visited family. My care was excellent in every way and my wife and I were both reassured and relieved. We tend to do this on a regular 3-4 week basis.
