Coming into Gracewell of Adderbury is a very positive experience. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere. All the staff are so positive, kind and compassionate. Everywhere is clean and spotlessly maintained. My mother-in-law has the very best care in this lovely environment.

It has been really lovely, all the staff have been helpful to my dad and both my sister and I. We are all complimentary about the facilities and care that our father is receiving. Over the Christmas period, the activities that were chosen were very good, and residents and guests enjoyed them.

This is our first experience of a care home and it was entirely my mother's decision to move. Following our initial approach, admissions manager was very helpful in providing all the information we needed. Resident for a day did not happen due to sickness, but admissions manager instead spent over two
hours talking with and showing my mother around. Good understanding of needs in providing a good-sized room with plenty of natural light. A few hiccups since moving in (on some mornings no night staff available to shower Mum before breakfast, so she missed shower and had to dress without any assistance) but this appears to have been resolved.l In summary of first month: Mum has settled in very well; staff are very friendly and helpful; she is thoroughly enjoying meals; she has found a good number of 'like-minded people' in her household and is joining in with most of the activities. We would like to see more opportunities for her to get outside, but realise that we are going into the winter so this may bot be practicable in the immediate future.

Gracewell of Adderbury is a care home I am very pleased to recommend. It has a happy atmosphere, and all the staff are friendly and caring; the wellbeing of the resident is their focus. Particularly reassuring, was the sensitive way in which my husband's admission was handled. A visit to our home by
the home admissions advisor gave a thorough, detailed and unhurried description of the home and admission process. Clothes and personal effects collected that day to greet my husband's arrival along with a card, flowers and sweets.

We cannot praise Gracewell of Adderbury enough. The care given to my mother was exceptional. The surroundings and fabric of the home are superb but it's the staff that make it so fantastic. They are like one big family who really do care. They not only looked after Mum, they looked after our family
when we visited, kept us updated on Mums progress and they really make the place feel like home. Thank you "Gracewell team".

Dad recently moved to Gracewell of Adderbury. He has settled in really well.
Large ensuite room, communal areas very clean. Lots of activities going on. The process of moving in went very smoothly even down to the staff labelling all of his clothes.

I just want to say how much we appreciate the tender care, given with such kindness, that Mum is receiving. Everyone is unreservedly patient and friendly. A special mention must go to one particular member of staff who is truly wonderful with, not just mum, but all the residents. His presence makes
such a difference and it is clear he is loved by residents and staff alike.

Gracewell nursing home is absolutely fantastic in every way. It's a beautifully kept place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are wonderful. They are so caring with Mum and us and nothing is too much trouble. Mum is well looked after, clean and happy. The entertainment and activities they
do are so good. The residents love them and my Dad is welcome to participate as well. I can't thank Gracewell enough for the care they give to my poor Mum.

Since first arriving my mum has been treated with great respect and warmth from all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The entertainment, especially the music and movement, is a joy to her as she has always enjoyed singing and dancing. So, overall, I am delighted with the choice we made for Mum's

My mother became a resident at Gracewell, Adderbury in November 2018 following a bout of pneumonia. Her illness had left her effectively bed-bound requiring 24/7 nursing care. Prior to her passing in January 2019 and during the intervening period, the care she received was at the highest level where
the Gracewell team went out of their way to ensure that she was made as comfortable as possible and her needs met. It is particularly important for her family to know that she was being well looked after in a very friendly environment.


Given our experience, the family would recommend Gracewell, Adderbury to anyone seeking a best in class nursing home for a family member.

The transfer of Mum from hospital to Gracewell was handled exceptionally well despite issues with the discharge. Mum has settled very well and the care shown by all the staff has been and continues to be first class. She is very happy in her new surroundings.

Dad moved into Gracewell of Adderbury two weeks ago but the whole process of moving him down from his home in the North of England close to his family has been made much easier by the team. He was able to visit as a "Resident for the Day" which enabled us to meet the staff, spend the day in the room
he had already been allocated pre-admission and sample the food and dining experience. Dad was assessed during the visit in a friendly, unobtrusive way and we came away assured that this would be the right place for him to come and live.


The staff have made all of the family welcome, and are ensuring that Dad eats and drinks well. There's a great atmosphere with lots of laughter and smiling faces (from residents, staff and visitors).

The most professional, knowledgeable, kind and courteous team of care and health care experts I could have hope for. The general manager, her deputy and home admissions administrator are hands-on, always ensuring the residents are comfortable, happy and feel like they have come home. Tons of activities
to keep residents engaged and living a full and active life. I live in New York and in the space of an hour, my dad's stroke wiped out his memory. After one week at Gracewell, he is happy, participating and clinically improving. I will be forever grateful.

My nan moved into Gracewell in the summer of 2017 and absolutely loved it. The staff were so friendly and helpful and she got all the care she needed from a simple chat to a cup of tea and anything else she required. Nothing was too much trouble.

We were so lucky to have Gracewell so close to where we live and it was just right for Mum and our family. It is beautifully light and airy and spacious, and well looked after. The staff were always very welcoming to the family, and took great care to help personalise Mum's room. Mum was encouraged
to eat and the team showed great concern to find something she liked, and patience in feeding her. Her washing was done quickly and carefully, and the housekeeping team put name labels on all her clothes. The team were so kind to her and managed to make her smile, even towards the end. We were kept well informed about her condition and her medication, and the team went out of their way to support the family in Mum's last few days. I was comforted to know that the amazing team at Gracewell were there for her alongside the family.

Gracewell is a beautiful home, I couldn't think of anywhere more lovely for my Granny to spend her final months.
The general manager was so caring, knowledgeable and her team were all amazing.
Everyone we came across was friendly and professional and my Granny was treated with great care and dignity.

Wojciech Kuczkowski

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2022

I’ve been a General Manager for over ten years in other care homes. I worked my way up from care roles into management. I originally trained in management and marketing in my native Poland.


I was very positive about working for Care UK because it has a great reputation, and puts residents at the heart of everything it does. Its values of Caring, Passionate and Teamwork closely echo my own.


There’s always something new to learn and to tackle in this role, but there’s a solution to every challenge and, ultimately, seeing residents enjoying life here at Seccombe Court is what makes everything worthwhile. Knowing I’m making a positive impact on their lives is what motivates me. I’m very proud of the way the team delivers exceptional care to all residents and their loved ones.
