Respite stays are subject to a 20% uplift on the prices shown above. Fees are subject to a pre-admission

an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My father moved into Ridley Manor in August, after living with me for 28 years this was a heartbreaking decision to make.
However, I can truly say that 12 weeks later I can not believe how happy my father is, it has not been an easy transition for him or me but the love support, and kindness we have

I chose Ridley Manor for my sister's palliative care because I was very impressed with the accommodation set in beautiful surroundings. The kindness of the staff and managers also helped in make a difficult decision in which place was best for my sister's life to end.

Finding residential accommodation for my brother was difficult until I “happened” upon Ridley Manor. The building is purpose designed so everything is laid out carefully. It’s the staff though that make this an excellent choice. From my first dealings with the Care Home management, I sensed that this
was going to be my first choice. Having now settled my brother there I can confirm that Ridley Manor fully lives up to expectations. Residents are really cared for and relatives are included not just in decisions about their loved ones but are invited to regular meetings, in-house and online, to discuss any general matters that might arise. Social events, of which there are numerous, always include relatives too. The care concept is extended to us as part of the “Ridley Family”. The atmosphere is that of a happy environment with every need met by staff and I am confident that my brother is in the very best of hands. I highly recommend Ridley Manor.

My mum moved into Ridley Manor two months ago. I am really impressed by the standard of care she has received. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They have managed to sort out my mum's blood pressure medication which I had been trying to do for months! Mum has put on weight due to the amazing

Our mum has been at Ridley Manor care home for over 2 years. During this time we have been very happy with the wonderful care provided by all the staff. From the nursing staff on Mum’s particular floor, medical staff, catering, housekeeping, reception and of course social activities planned by the excellent
‘lifestyles’ team.
The residents are kept safe within the confines of the home and its splendid garden and all relatives are made welcome and able to participate with loved ones in a wealth of activities.
Communication is openly encouraged between relatives and staff management through regular reviews, meetings in person and on video calls.
Our mum is very happy, content and feels very much at home at Ridley Manor.

I come in once a month with my team to provide a worship experience to the residents. The team is fantastic and is a great help in facilitating the experience and making sure the residents are well looked after and cared for. From the organiser to the team inside, everyone plays their part in making

Both my mum and dad have been looked after in Ridley Manor. My dad is still there and has been a resident for the last 4-5 years. He has been well cared for the whole time, from being pretty self-sufficient when he first joined to his very frail confused self now. The full-time staff are great and really
care, management has been very supportive, proactive and caring to help my dad stay where he is settled and comfortable. The facilities are clean, tidy, well kept and comfortable with a good selection of food, snacks and varied menus.

My father lives at Ridley Manor and has late-stage dementia. The care he receives from both the carers and nursing staff is excellent. Every member of staff whether they work on his floor or elsewhere within the home knows him by name and interacts with him. Many also know me by name and are very supportive
of the family.
Although Dad cannot join in many of the activities now, Ridley Manor does offer a range of entertainment and activities which he has enjoyed in the past.

From the start, the atmosphere at Ridley Manor was friendly, bright and welcoming. Everyone is so kind and caring. Everything seems to be done to make residents feel happy and secure. I have been made aware that this is my husband's home. I am made most welcome on every visit and I have a lovely relationship
with many of the carers. Some of them are angels! The food is good and plentiful; my husband has put weight on!

My mother moved into Ridley Manor in December 2022, initially on a short-term basis but now more permanently. The home is always spotlessly clean and the decor is very attractive. There seem to be many varied activities every single day and mum loves the visits from the local school children. She
also enjoys the musical entertainment especially from visiting singers. The staff are friendly and look after her well. The bistro and the gardens are great places to sit and catch up and enjoy a cup of tea. Mum also enjoys a visit to the in-house hairdresser and a visit from the chiropodist. The home keeps in touch and reports any issues by phone immediately (e.g. when mum had a little fall recently). I would highly recommend Ridley Manor in every aspect.

Ridley Manor has consistently provided quite excellent care and support to my wife who sadly has dementia and challenging health and behavioural problems. The Team Leaders and Nurse on her floor are highly skilled, experienced and thoughtful. The staff are kind, patient, and go out of their way to help,
and my wife is always treated with kindness, dignity and good humour. I frequently see her kissing and stroking the hands of carers to show her gratitude. I’m generally there around lunchtime and the food is most tempting. My wife was clinically under-weight on admission 5 months ago and not surprisingly she’s now comfortably within the ‘healthy’ weight band. The facilities are modern, airy and spacious and they always look and feel spotlessly clean. The activity program is run by a dynamic, fun team and it’s packed with great entertainment. Overall, in my experience Ridley Manor has been quite outstanding and I often reflect on how lucky we were to find it.

Ridley Manor is an outstanding care home in all respects. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Both my parents have dementia and are looked after on the Memory floor.
The facilities are excellent and the care second to none. Mum and dads floor is headed up by 3 certain members of staff who are all
excellent and they are ably assisted by a good number of lovely staff, many of whom have been there for years which I think is always a good sign.
Mum and dad always look clean and tidy, and mum with her nails painted. The food is lovely and they both eat well - Dad having put on 4kg and he’s only been there a month.
There are plenty of activities for them to take part in and they particularly enjoy the Kiddley Divey weekly visits - in fact, anything musical.
If there are any relevant updates or concerns I am informed straight away.
It’s always such a difficult decision to put your parents into care but I couldn’t have made a better choice.

Job Title: General Manager

My early career started out in education, but my path stumbled into care and I found my true vocation, working my way up to become a care home manager at another home before joining Ridley Manor.


I have completed a post-graduate diploma in dementia, and currently I am completing my Master’s degree in dementia care too.


To be successful and good as a General Manager, I believe that you should be empathetic, caring, and supportive and have the passion to be able to look after all the changing needs of the residents entrusted into your care. By the same token, you need to be able to support, encourage and motivate your team to be able to achieve their career goals and be the best version of themselves.


My biggest career highlight has been meeting the great Nelson Mandela and being able to spend a few moments in his company.
