Respite stays are subject to a 20% uplift on the prices shown above. Fees are subject to a pre-admission

Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Gracewell has always looked after my mother extremely well since she came to the home in January 2018. The Covid-19 regulations in place are very stringent and effective. I couldn't be more happy with the way my mother is being treated and looked after.

My experience of visiting my mother at Gracewell during these difficult times has been very good. The staff are very efficient and take all the social distancing plus PPE very seriously. But despite this, the visit has been very enjoyable and worthwhile. In terms of would I recommend this care provider
the answer is yes, as the standards are very high but of course it does come at a cost that not all can afford.

Gracewell of High Wycombe have looked after my mum for the last three years, and I have been very happy with her care. The activities co-ordinator has started recently, and he has been amazing, including my mum in lots of new and interesting activities. He also keeps me updated with photos and emails.
During COVID, the home has been extremely safe and secure.

My mum has lived at Gracewell High Wycombe for the last three years with dementia. They care with such dignity and has been exemplary and continues to be so. All staff go above and beyond to show kindness, consideration and empathy with our loved ones during which can be an extremely difficult period

I visited this home recently as a volunteer and was extremely impressed with the presentation of the home, the welcome I received and the care and support being offered to residents there. It was an eye opening experience. Staff were very kind and friendly. Activities and food were amazing and the manager

These comments follow a visit to Mum under the Covid-19 arrangements but also reflect my overall impression and experience of the care she receives.
I was very impressed with the precautions taken by the home and the arrangements put in place to ensure residents could safely receive visits from family
and friends.
The policy Gracewell have introduced works very well and ensures safety for both residents, staff and visitors.
On a more general note, Mum has now been living at Gracewell for two years. Throughout that time she has been very well looked after. Most importantly she is happier, less lonely and physically very well.
The home have always kept me informed of any developments and made me welcome when visiting.
Since Mum’s move to Gracewell, I feel reassured that she is now being well cared for and I have no worries about her on a day to day basis.

All aspects of my mother’s life had been severely affected by dementia, and it was a distressing and difficult time for both my mother and the family when the decision was made that she needed to go into residential care.
Fifteen months on life is still difficult and distressing for my mother at times,
but she has a much better quality of life now than she did when she was living at home. She is eating better, healthier, no longer having frequent falls, has opportunities for social interaction with residents and staff and sometimes participates in singing, seated exercise and ball game sessions. She has access to services such as hairdressing and chiropodist.
Due to Covid-19, visitors are not allowed at present but staff have arranged weekly video calls and family can phone any time if they have concerns. Mum misses family visits but tells us how well the staff at looking after her.
In normal times, visitors including children and even the family dog are made most welcome.

Gracewell of High Wycombe is a lovely, bright, clean care home with very good facilities.
Mum was a resident for six months until she recently passed away. I spent a lot of time visiting and always received the warmest of welcomes. The staff are friendly, kind, and caring and were so supportive of
Mum. They encouraged her to have her hair and nails done and join in with activities.
During the last few difficult weeks, the staff went over and above to make sure we were able to video call Mum. She was always treated with love, respect, and dignity and as a family, we received so much kindness and support.

Job Title: General Manager

My early career started out in education, but my path stumbled into care and I found my true vocation, working my way up to become a care home manager at another home before joining Ridley Manor.


I have completed a post-graduate diploma in dementia, and currently I am completing my Master’s degree in dementia care too.


To be successful and good as a General Manager, I believe that you should be empathetic, caring, and supportive and have the passion to be able to look after all the changing needs of the residents entrusted into your care. By the same token, you need to be able to support, encourage and motivate your team to be able to achieve their career goals and be the best version of themselves.


My biggest career highlight has been meeting the great Nelson Mandela and being able to spend a few moments in his company.
