Ridley Manor

I have been a resident since the very day in 2022 when they took over. I have been well and kindly looked after. I feel I have a good relationship with the carers, entertainment staff and various department heads and management. Ridley Manor has become a safety net for me currently.

I would like to thank all staff for the care they gave my sister and for bringing her life to a peaceful end.

Finding residential accommodation for my brother was difficult until I “happened” upon Ridley Manor. The building is purpose designed so everything is laid out carefully. It’s the staff though that make this an excellent choice. From my first dealings with the Care Home management, I sensed that this was going to be my first choice. Having now settled my brother there I can confirm that Ridley Manor fully lives up to expectations. Residents are really cared for and relatives are included not just in decisions about their loved ones but are invited to regular meetings, in-house and online, to discuss any general matters that might arise. Social events, of which there are numerous, always include relatives too. The care concept is extended to us as part of the “Ridley Family”. The atmosphere is that of a happy environment with every need met by staff and I am confident that my brother is in the very best of hands. I highly recommend Ridley Manor.

It was my mother's friend's 100th birthday and the staff put on a wonderful party for her with dancing, wonderful food and an amazing cake! She is obviously very well cared for and happy at Ridley Manor.

My mum moved into Ridley Manor two months ago. I am really impressed by the standard of care she has received. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They have managed to sort out my mum's blood pressure medication which I had been trying to do for months! Mum has put on weight due to the amazing food provided! Relatives are always made welcome and the home creates the feeling of one big family. I could not be happier and am so relieved to know my mum is in such good and caring hands. A big thank you to all the staff.

What a lovely celebration Ridley Care Home have put on for my Dad's birthday. Live music, decorations, cake, gifts, and drinks. It really has been such a special day. Thank you so much to all the staff involved!

Our mum is very happy, content and feels very much at home at Ridley Manor.

I come in once a month with my team to provide a worship experience to the residents. The team is fantastic and is a great help in facilitating the experience and making sure the residents are well looked after and cared for. From the organiser to the team inside, everyone plays their part in making the worship time valuable and enjoyable. The room is always ready for us and very clean. The team at Ridley Manor helps create a wonderful atmosphere and always goes above and beyond to assist the residents and us when we come in. It's a real joy to be able to work with everyone at Ridley Manor.

We had the most lovely lunch in the private dining room to celebrate a birthday. Great food, atmosphere and service and it was free of charge. So very generous. This meant that my mother and her friends could be all together to celebrate and chat together which is such a rare opportunity. It was made possible by the lovely staff at Ridley Manor. Thank you so very much!

All the staff were so helpful and kind and we had the best day, cannot thank you enough.

During the time I have been visiting my husband, all I have seen is care and respect. Lots of kindness. They also keep me well informed with all aspects of his health and welfare. They also include him in as many activities that he is able to do.

Both my mum and dad have been looked after in Ridley Manor. My dad is still there and has been a resident for the last 4-5 years. He has been well cared for the whole time, from being pretty self-sufficient when he first joined to his very frail confused self now. The full-time staff are great and really care, management has been very supportive, proactive and caring to help my dad stay where he is settled and comfortable. The facilities are clean, tidy, well kept and comfortable with a good selection of food, snacks and varied menus.

Although Dad cannot join in many of the activities now, Ridley Manor does offer a range of entertainment and activities which he has enjoyed in the past.

My dad is currently in respite care, this is his third time in this home, and the team here are looking after him exceptionally well, ensuring he is cared for with dignity. He really appreciates the kindness of the team.

From the start, the atmosphere at Ridley Manor was friendly, bright and welcoming. Everyone is so kind and caring. Everything seems to be done to make residents feel happy and secure. I have been made aware that this is my husband's home. I am made most welcome on every visit and I have a lovely relationship with many of the carers. Some of them are angels! The food is good and plentiful; my husband has put weight on!

My mother moved into Ridley Manor in December 2022, initially on a short-term basis but now more permanently. The home is always spotlessly clean and the decor is very attractive. There seem to be many varied activities every single day and mum loves the visits from the local school children. She also enjoys the musical entertainment especially from visiting singers. The staff are friendly and look after her well. The bistro and the gardens are great places to sit and catch up and enjoy a cup of tea. Mum also enjoys a visit to the in-house hairdresser and a visit from the chiropodist. The home keeps in touch and reports any issues by phone immediately (e.g. when mum had a little fall recently). I would highly recommend Ridley Manor in every aspect.

Ridley Manor has consistently provided quite excellent care and support to my wife who sadly has dementia and challenging health and behavioural problems. The Team Leaders and Nurse on her floor are highly skilled, experienced and thoughtful. The staff are kind, patient, and go out of their way to help, and my wife is always treated with kindness, dignity and good humour. I frequently see her kissing and stroking the hands of carers to show her gratitude. I’m generally there around lunchtime and the food is most tempting. My wife was clinically under-weight on admission 5 months ago and not surprisingly she’s now comfortably within the ‘healthy’ weight band. The facilities are modern, airy and spacious and they always look and feel spotlessly clean. The activity program is run by a dynamic, fun team and it’s packed with great entertainment. Overall, in my experience Ridley Manor has been quite outstanding and I often reflect on how lucky we were to find it.

It’s always such a difficult decision to put your parents into care but I couldn’t have made a better choice.

A wonderful team who cared for my mum with real compassion. The home and room were kept really clean, and every effort was made to meet her needs and requirements. Family and friends are warmly welcomed with nice areas to sit and chat.

I stayed at Ridley Manor for two weeks in August 2022 to recover from major surgery. I came with no notice from the hospital. The management and staff were always smiling, delightful and very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much. They assisted in improving my mobility. They found a physiotherapist I needed. They helped me get on my feet again. They made my visitors very welcome with chairs, tea, coffee, etc. They could not have been nicer. The facilities are bright and clean, and there is a lovely small garden. Highly recommended.
