My mother has been with you now for over two years and she and the whole family are delighted at the high standard of care she has received - both physical and emotional. She refers to Baycroft as her home. We are particularly impressed by the amount of stimulation you provide for the residents and

My nan is happy here.
Oustanding facilities and care staff.
She was very much against the move into the home, but she soon came around when she had stayed there for a short period of time.

The staff at this care home have always been friendly and helpful. My mother has been a resident since March and unfortunately arrived only three weeks before covid forced the home to close to visitors. During the lockdown, we, relatives have been well informed with the situation in the home. I am very
happy with my mother's care.

Since my mother became a resident in 2018, I can only praise the home and the staff therein. At the time she became a resident, the home had newly opened and she was only one of a handful of residents. The care and love she has received, has been second to none. Care and attention was always a priority
as the home grew, which was deliberately slow over a period of time to ensure the happiness of the residents already in-situ and those joining the community. Some, but not all, of the staff have been at the home from the start, which has meant a continuity of care throughout her decline. Accommodation and food are both excellent - a particular favourite (which all the staff know) is the occasional bacon sandwich!
Would highly recommend the home to anyone who has a relative, who during their latter years, requires help and assistance.

I would highly recommend Baycroft, due to the fact that the staff are very warm and welcoming, professional, diligent, caring and communication is outstanding.
COVID-19 has resulted in an extremely stressful and difficult time, however, the staff at Baycroft have managed the situation with tremendous
professionalism and genuine care for my mum and my sister and I have been well informed of what has been occurring within the home at all times.
I have had very regular contact with one of Mum's carers in particular and this contact has been both reassuring and supportive during this very difficult time.
Facetime was easily arranged and as Mum has a phone in her room we have been able to keep in good contact.
I cannot thank the staff at Baycroft enough for all that they have done.

Dad has only been at Baycroft for 4 days but so far so good. The home is sparkling new and clean, smell nice too! The staff have been really helpful and never rush any interaction so far. I have noticed residents with worse dementia being treated fairly/firmly but never cruelly. The food is excellent
and family members are welcome to have lunch with residents and feel included in life at Baycroft.

My dad needed more care than I could provide for him in his own home, he wasn't eating very much and was losing weight, as well as feeling lonely.
I made arrangements for him to go into Baycroft for four weeks respite care and at the end of it, he said he didn't want to go back home. He has gained
weight, is walking better and is much happier. There were a few very minor issues in the beginning, which there are bound to be, but overall the staff are fantastic with him and are taking very good care of him. They even got his favourite brand of tea for him. There is always something there for him to do or someone to chat with. Needless to say, he got his way and he is now a permanent resident.

My mother was living independently in the family home but at 91 she was struggling with everyday tasks especially as her mobility is poor. She was determined she wanted to stay in her home but came to Baycroft, Great Baddow for two weeks "holiday". At the end of that time, she didn't want to go home
and be alone. She said that everyone was so welcoming, helpful and caring. The food is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. It was a big change for her but being able to decorate her room with pictures and photos from home has really helped her settle. She is getting to know the names of the staff and other residents and has enjoyed all the pre-Christmas activities and outings. She feels safe and secure knowing there is always someone on hand to help, to talk with and to listen.
It has given the family peace of mind to know she is being so well looked after and the great-grandchildren love the entertainment suite.

My mother-in-law is very happy here and always comments on how good and caring the staff are. There are lots of activities and facilities to keep the residents amused and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

Wonderful care home with very attentive caring staff. They have helped Mum settle in very well. The only stressful part is the parting. This really needs to be addressed on an urgent basis.

Very impressed with the standard of care. As relatives, we are always made most welcome and enjoy the occasional meal here. It would be better if residents are encouraged to use the large areas, leaving space in the reception area. The one major drawback is the lack of spaces in the car park.

As soon as you walked in you were greeted by staff members who were friendly and very helpful! They made you settle in quickly, made a fuss of you and treat you with dignity and respect. It is just brilliant. Cannot thank them enough for the care my parent has received from them.

Rooms I found very hard in a wheelchair to get around the bathroom, especially as there is no room to turn a wheelchair round to close the bathroom door. Also, I was told by the Deputy Manager washing goes up in the morning and back the next day. You have more and more residents coming every week, how
can you expect the staff to do bed/towels and all residents' washing? Staff have been brilliant. Entertainment for the elderly is good. Very welcoming place.

My mother was in for two weeks respite post pneumonia. She was very happy with her care. The room was large, comfortable and well furbished. The food was excellent and the staff very kind and efficient. However, from my point of view, clearly, they were understaffed, particularly at weekends when I
myself picked up another patient in her room, who had fallen earlier. Mum's medication was only checked once or twice and activities often cancelled.

This was my father's first respite care. Baycroft Great Baddow did not disappoint. From the moment my father arrived, all the staff were very welcoming. It reassured my husband and I, that Dad was in good hands. I spoke to the nurse on duty a few times during the respite care and both of them were very
informative of my father's care and put my mind at rest. The care staff, activities, kitchen, laundry, hairdresser, reception, nurses and management all came to say goodbye when he left. It was really lovely.
