Cannot fault the care staff at Claremont House with how they look after our Nana. They go above and beyond to make sure she is well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble. They even offer help and support to us as family members. Nana is always singing their praises when we see her and loves living at Claremont House despite not wanting to go into a care home originally. They have completely changed her view of them.

Could not have had better care anywhere. All the staff have been absolutely amazing.
Nothing was ever too much, from cleaners, caretakers, carers or admin, they all chowed such amazing knowledge of clients and family.

When the end came, they stayed back after shift; just to be with our uncle. Amazing team.

Following a spell in hospital, my 99 year old mother was in Claremont House only for a very short period before she sadly passed away, hence my experience of the home is somewhat limited. What I can say is she received a lovely warm welcome when she arrived on a Saturday evening, and her room was spotlessly clean. All the staff I had dealings with were lovely people.

Prior to choosing Claremont House, I looked at a couple other care homes in the area, but I thought Claremont was the best by far. The price per week is a little more expensive than other care homes I looked at, but I felt the extra cost fairly reflected the quality of the home when compared to others.

We have been very impressed by both the quality of the care that my mother receives at Claremont and by the place itself, which (judging by our experience of the ground floor) feels more like a hotel. The staff are very caring and treat my mother with kindness and respect - some even treat her like a member of their own family. The food is good - and there is always a choice of 2 main dishes, plus an alternative menu of more standard options eg omelettes etc. The admin staff are also efficient and professional, responding positively to requests where possible. We are very pleased with our choice.

I was offered a room on the date I needed to leave the hospital which was excellent and even though I did not arrive at the home until 7.30pm in the evening, I was made welcome and offered food.
The home was nice and quiet and peaceful, which is exactly what I needed to recover sufficiently in my ten-day stay to go home. All of the staff were pleasant and friendly and approachable for anything I needed.

I would recommend this home to anyone.

Although procedures are put in place these are not always adhered to which makes things frustrating for all concerned.

My mother came into Claremont House as a permanent resident after being hospitalised. She was underweight, miserable and very confused, with no interest in food. Her health had been declining over the last couple of years and thanks to the dedicated care of the staff she has made a remarkable recovery. She is now happy, contented, gained weight and is back to her normal self with just short term memory loss. We cannot thank the staff enough and the care she has received for her amazing recovery and would not hesitate to recommend Claremont House.

Mum has been at Claremont House for 18 months. During this time she has enjoyed excellent treatment. The staff are very kind and considerate and treat their residents with the utmost respect. Additionally, they are extremely pro-active in looking for ways to enhance the lives of their residents. What complaints there are, are dealt with swiftly and firmly by the senior management. The food is excellent and goes way beyond that expected in a care home.

My Father in Law stayed in Claremont House for six weeks after leaving hospital, following a fall. It served as an excellent halfway house, helping him to recover enough to go home to his own house. All of the family were extremely impressed with the care he was given. He was treated with dignity and kindness always and was gently encouraged to perform his own personal care once he was well enough, in readiness for returning home. All of the staff were excellent. Should he need respite care in the future, Claremont House will be our first choice.

We are very pleased with the standard of care and welfare provided. The patient's key carers show a good medical knowledge of her condition and follow up any issues which may arise. We find the atmosphere and environment of the home to be excellent.

I have used Claremont House for a one week period of postoperative recovery. I was discharged after a full knee replacement and came to Claremont directly from hospital. I made arrangements for admission beforehand and dropped a bag off for safe keeping. My care and recovery needs have been fully satisfied in terms of my medication plan and dietary needs. The staff have been courteous and attentive. I regard this arrangement as 100% successful and will repeat for the operation.

I have been associated with Claremont House for roughly 30 years. A relative became a resident at the age of 96 and she died at 109.
The care she received was faultless.

Following her death, I became a volunteer and have seen many improvements over the past 17 years. Claremont House is a very happy house with the activities helping to keep residents mentally and physically involved in all that goes on. I am very happy to be a part of this.

On face value, you are welcomed by clean, well-presented premises which give you the impression that this is a hotel. However after six months of professional, compassionate standards of caring, in addition, one can only award Claremont House, Beverley with an excellent review and rate it as a high standard "caring" hotel style facility.

My mum, my wife and I visited Claremont House for a tour of the home and for the staff to carry out an assessment of my mum's needs. The whole experience was excellent from the moment we entered the home. The staff were friendly, empathetic and receptive to Mum's needs.

Overall Experience

Our experience was for two weeks emergency respite on the dementia floor. The staff were generally wonderful at ensuring our family member was properly cared for - which included, initially, bathing and dressing as well as meals. There were a couple of staff in particular who were just fantastic in their kindness and empathy and general upbeat nature. Requests were taken care of, appointments successfully noted. We did have one concern regarding an outing that went awry, though this was taken seriously by the administration and was in part due to an external company's staffing error. Our only real reservation with long term care is/was the lack of outdoor space, which some older people desperately need for a positive day-to-day existence. Otherwise, highly recommended based on our limited experience.

While mum's been here the last six weeks she has been very well cared for.

Staff have been so kind and helpful, she is treated with dignity and compassion. We have felt better that she's being so well looked after, giving us some peace of mind at this upsetting time.
