My Father in Law stayed in Claremont House for six weeks after leaving hospital, following a fall. It served as an excellent halfway house, helping him to recover enough to go home to his own house. All of the family were extremely impressed with the care he was given. He was treated with dignity and
kindness always and was gently encouraged to perform his own personal care once he was well enough, in readiness for returning home. All of the staff were excellent. Should he need respite care in the future, Claremont House will be our first choice.

We are very pleased with the standard of care and welfare provided. The patient's key carers show a good medical knowledge of her condition and follow up any issues which may arise. We find the atmosphere and environment of the home to be excellent.

I have used Claremont House for a one week period of postoperative recovery. I was discharged after a full knee replacement and came to Claremont directly from hospital. I made arrangements for admission beforehand and dropped a bag off for safe keeping. My care and recovery needs have been fully satisfied
in terms of my medication plan and dietary needs. The staff have been courteous and attentive. I regard this arrangement as 100% successful and will repeat for the operation.

I think this is the kindest most courteous place. Could not have been better looked after anywhere else. Bedroom lovely and kept immaculate. Bed comfy, room very spacious.
The care staff are kind and caring in every way. Outstanding.
The meals are outstanding, well presented. No fault to find.

staff very helpful. Management are top rate.
If in the future I need care this is the place I will be coming to.

I have been associated with Claremont House for roughly 30 years. A relative became a resident at the age of 96 and she died at 109.
The care she received was faultless.
Following her death, I became a volunteer and have seen many improvements over the past 17 years. Claremont House is a very happy
house with the activities helping to keep residents mentally and physically involved in all that goes on. I am very happy to be a part of this.

On face value, you are welcomed by clean, well-presented premises which give you the impression that this is a hotel. However after six months of professional, compassionate standards of caring, in addition, one can only award Claremont House, Beverley with an excellent review and rate it as a high

My mum, my wife and I visited Claremont House for a tour of the home and for the staff to carry out an assessment of my mum's needs. The whole experience was excellent from the moment we entered the home. The staff were friendly, empathetic and receptive to Mum's needs.

Our experience was for two weeks emergency respite on the dementia floor. The staff were generally wonderful at ensuring our family member was properly cared for - which included, initially, bathing and dressing as well as meals. There were a couple of staff in particular who were just fantastic in
their kindness and empathy and general upbeat nature. Requests were taken care of, appointments successfully noted. We did have one concern regarding an outing that went awry, though this was taken seriously by the administration and was in part due to an external company's staffing error. Our only real reservation with long term care is/was the lack of outdoor space, which some older people desperately need for a positive day-to-day existence. Otherwise, highly recommended based on our limited experience.

While mum's been here the last six weeks she has been very well cared for.
Staff have been so kind and helpful, she is treated with dignity and compassion. We have felt better that she's being so well looked after, giving us some peace of mind at this upsetting time.

We were initially looking for somewhere for my mum to stay for a couple of weeks respite whilst my wife and I went on Honeymoon, and we were extremely pleased with the reception and care she received.


Claremont House is well appointed and very tastefully decorated throughout. It is clear a great

deal of thought and attention to detail has been applied to the layout, and all of the rooms and public places are generously proportioned.


The care the residents receive can only be considered first rate, and the food (according to my Mum) is excellent. The staff are always welcoming, and care deeply for their charges.


There are activities on a daily basis, and our two small daughters are always invited to assist whenever they visit, much to the obvious pleasure of the residents.


My Mum is most enamoured with the home, the residents and most especially, the care personnel who look after everyone. She simply loves it, and is delighted to be there.

A nice pleasant room with home comforts. Very easy to call for help if needed. Looked after in a friendly way by a caring staff around the clock.
Lounge areas are very comfortable. Staff will do anything required.

My husband and I are full-time carers for my 97-year-old mum, who has moderate dementia. When I fell and fractured my ankle we were unsure as to how we would cope. I contacted Claremont House to ask if they could help in any way. The manager assured me she would contact me when she made enquiries she
called back in five minutes to say a room would be available for mum that afternoon .....that's service


As the policy is not to use names I won't, but each member of staff that cared for mum did so with understanding and compassion, keeping her safe when she became challenging, and calm when bewildered by her new environment. Keeping me informed when mum didn't eat very much, and contacting the GP to request some build up foods to help her.


Tea, cakes and hugs were in abundance, even a reassuring hug to me a weepy daughter on leaving mum. The decor and rooms are beautiful, but without the first class care, these would mean nothing.

Claremont House is a beautiful residential home, with lovely facilities, importantly for our family, it made it extremely easy for our family to spend time with Mum there.


The staff care team on the 1st floor were absolutely fantastic, looking after and caring for Mum and reassuring the family.

This extended to the catering staff, domestic staff and management who always took time to chat with Mum and the family.


It is not an easy decision to choose residential accommodation however for us this was a very good decision.

I was admitted to Claremount after spending 2 weeks in the hospital with viral pneumonia for a 2-week admission of antibiotics and continuous oxygen. I was in a 6 bedded bay, 4 beds of which were occupied by 60-94-year-olds and 2 by teenagers. We became friends and each of us were treated with respect
and consideration by all staff, especially the nursing teams. Being a Parkinson's disease sufferer, I need medication at all hours, out of routine time and rarely had to remind staff of this requirement. Being a stranger to hull I can only say a sincere thank you for all the care given to myself and my family.

My mother spent two weeks in respite care at Claremont House in September 2017. She had a large, light and comfortable room on the ground floor and was impressed with the care and attention she received from the staff. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful; teas and coffees were available at any time
and as often as she wished and meals were plentiful and varied. As a result of her experience, in particular, the staff who looked after her, she has now decided to leave her sheltered flat and to move to Claremont House permanently. She is looking forward to moving into the same room and to have a more relaxing time.

Everything a "care home" should be. Comfortable accommodation, with any needed medical help from outside, be it doctor, nurse or physiotherapy contacted immediately. Staff are most helpful - all friendly and willing to help. Food is of a good standard and plenty of it. A great place to retire to or
