My husband had to go into care Sept 2017 when I became unwell and his various conditions made it impossible to live at home. He died in his sleep in November 2018. During his time at Cedar Mews he experienced constant excellent care, attention and kindness even though at times his behaviour could be difficult. The staff also supported myself and the rest of the family in the same caring way.

It's been over 12 months since I made the hard decision to move my loved one into a care home. From the start, Cedar Mews made it easier to bear. From initial discussion to settling in and the ongoing daily ups and downs of care home life, as a family member, I have felt part of their hardworking team. Help with hospital appointments, open and honest discussions over ever-changing care needs have always been there. The love that is shown in the home by all of the team and the sense of humour the staff maintain despite juggling so many different individual care needs is a credit to all of them. I know when I'm not there that he is surrounded by people who care for him and who know what makes him happy and who do the best they can to meet his needs. Visiting is a pleasure as I always get a warm welcome from both the staff, my loved one and the other amazing residents. Privacy and dignity is respected and I feel I made the right decision for Cedar Mews to be the care home of choice.

My grandfather enjoyed his time here until his recent passing, he took great delight in introducing us regularly to staff and friends. The level of interaction, respect and dignity displayed by Cedar Mews is inspiring and touching.

I could not recommend their services enough.

God bless you.

I am a neighbour of a lady in the care home and she was struggling on her own. After being in this care home her quality of life has improved and she is so much happier. I would recommend this home to anyone, because that is what it is, a home. The activities that are provided to the residents are second to none.

I have visited Cedar Mews on several occasions and always found the staff the same, friendly, caring and welcoming. The rooms are modern and spotless. My Aunt always enjoys staying here because she is taken care of and I don't have to worry about her when I'm away. The staff also make sure the visitors are comfortable. I have also had a meal with my Aunt in the friendly dining room and really enjoyed it.

From the initial contact, through the assessment and offer of a place to our Mother, we found the senior management at Cedar Mews, approachable, friendly and extensively knowledgeable. They were able to answer ALL our questions and concerns and put us all at ease. Having had to face such a difficult decision, due to a terminal diagnosis, we very soon felt relieved, as our Mother continued to receive excellent care and attention. It became apparent that having a purpose-built building, along with the home's ethos of attending to social, psychological, and physical needs, we felt very fortunate to have had access to such excellent care. It was like Cedar Mews embraced our Mother within their own 'family' and everyone engaged with her in a respectful and dignified manner. Whatever time of day, that we visited, the genuine care was easily in evidence. We would summarise this as finding a place where "true professionalism and compassion met" at a time when we needed it most. THANKYOU.

From the moment we met with senior management from Cedar Mews, we knew this was a care home with a difference. Little did we know at that point just by how much. From our very first visit with our Mum, for an informal chat, in their welcoming coffee lounge, to the tour of beautiful, bright, airy bedrooms and engaging facilities, we were stunned. Even after Mum became a resident, with a terminal illness, we continued to be amazed at the level of care and compassion. Nothing was ever too much trouble and her end of life stage was handled with such sensitivity and utmost dignity. A special mention for the senior carer and night manager who were so supportive and caring of our family's needs at such a distressing time. Thank you will never be enough.

I stayed at Cedar Mews for three months respite care following a broken arm and found the whole experience very enjoyable.

The care that I received was of a very high standard and there was a feeling of 'community spirit' within the home. I very much appreciated the food and social activities and would stay again if it became necessary or for respite care.

My father was in Cedar Mews for respite care following a broken arm in early January. I could not have picked a better care home for him. From first entering Cedar Mews for a tour around we found that all the staff were very caring and extremely helpful. This was very much appreciated as it was our first foray into the world of adult social care. I would thoroughly recommend Cedar Mews and my father is hoping to return for respite care when we are away from the area.

Mum was a guest at Cedar Mews from January until last week when she sadly passed away. I can not put in words the care and compassion that all of the staff demonstrated towards Mum which allowed her to die with dignity.
In particular, I would like to say thank you to the "Senior Carers" who Mum was very fond of and spent a lot of time with her in her final few weeks. They truly went above and beyond.
Thank you also to the management team who have provided significant support to both myself and Mum. The Chef who went to great lengths to find something which Mum could/would eat (she was very fond of his cheese and leek sausages, which he would cut the skins off, so Mum was able to eat them).
The receptionist has also provided great support and it's the cakes which she has provided to me on a daily basis which has kept me going.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cedar Mews to anyone and am grateful to everyone there.

My beautiful sister became a resident at Cedar Mews about 7 months ago now. She hated the thought of care and so did the family, however, frailty sadly took hold and all other options just didn't feel safe and enabling. The loving care, attention and friendships she has made are beyond our wildest expectations. My sister is living well again after slowly but surely fading in her own home. We, as a formidable family cannot praise the whole staff team enough for all the selfless care they give, not only to my sister but to all our extended family and friends. We are truly blessed to have found this home. Bless you all.

Mum moved to Cedar Mews in September last year. Within a couple of weeks, she looked her usual self - hair and nails done, wearing clothes which were beautifully laundered and was having fun joining in the activities. Just after Christmas Mum had a few, unexplained, falls resulting in a 2 week stay in hospital with a fractured pelvis. Mum was discharged in a weak and confused state. Again the wonderful care given has meant that Mum is able to join her friends in the lounge. The care, support and kindness provided by all the staff is truly excellent and I cannot thank each member of Cedar Mews team enough.

My Aunty stayed in Cedar Mews for a year. In that time she had fantastic care and was well looked after. All the staff are caring and promote dignity and are empathetic.

When you walk into the home you are greeted with a warm welcome. The home delivers a high standard of care to all their residents.

When my Aunty passed away, even the undertaker could not get over how the staff stood in respect when she left. Well done.

After looking around several homes for my father, this was by far the nicest place we had seen. It has the look of a hotel than a care home.

My father had a physical disability and needed a high level of support to meet his everyday care needs. The care team are excellent and always mindful of dignity. My dad could feel frustrated at times due to his disability but the staff did their best to accommodate his needs. The entertainment team are great, my dad was not the most social of people but the activities coordinator always tried to coax him to the different activities going on and even brought in films he thought he’d enjoy so he could watch them in his room. We also attended a few of the bar nights with dad which were always fun. In all my dealings with management, administration, care, entertainment, catering and housekeeping staff, I can honestly say everyone just seems like they want to help and do their best for both residents and their families.

I have just arranged for my father to have his third stay at Cedar Mews for respite care. We are very pleased with the care dad has received. The staff are very friendly and professional and dad is very settled when he stays at Cedar Mews. When he comes home he is more engaged and he benefits from the company of the other residents.

The home itself is fitted out to a very high standard and it is always a pleasure to spend time there when I visit.

It’s a real home from home and my mum really benefits from the break in caring for my dad knowing that he is settled, happy and very well cared for.

Words cannot say how please I am that my friend has chosen Cedar Mews.
Always a warm welcome and lots of activities going on throughout the day and the food WOW, it's more like eating in a fine dining restaurant.

The care is excellent always someone to hand to help if needed and only a buzzer away and my friend still has her independence without the home chores we all have to endure.
