Grampian Court Care Home, situated in the friendly town of Peterlee, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised residential and residential dementia care.

This warm, welcoming home offers a choice of several comfortable sitting rooms and dining areas, as well as its own hair and beauty salon and café. The lovely landscaped garden, which is looked after by residents and is a great place to relax in the warmer weather.

The catering team at Grampian Court understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals which can be enjoyed in the spacious dining areas which provide a welcoming space to enjoy meals with fellow residents, or family and friends.

From care assistants to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is there to support residents as they settle in to life at the home. My aunt has resided at Grampian Court Care Home for approx 2 years. I could not praise the staff (ALL STAFF) highly enough. They very quickly got to know my aunt and established excellent rapport with her. I know all people are different but they seem to very quickly grasp the way to help her without
her losing her dignity (very important for a proud 95 year old) Would consider staff to be 'friends' now.

We have had absolutely no complaints since Mum has been here. The carers and other staff are wonderful, caring, supportive & thoughtful and go out of their way to help Mum. The only thing I would change is Mum's carpet, it has stains from a previous client. There is always something going on for the
residents. The Summer festival was wonderful. We are only just starting our journey of self funding and it has been a shock to us the cost of self funding care.
The home and office have been excellent in supporting us.

Very impressed with care given to my sister. Staff are always kind & considerate wth a great understanding of her condition - Dementia. Staff are very respectful. Having worked as a district nurse and also a nurse in charge of a local home Grampian Court rates 5 stars to me. Food served is of a very
high standard. Laundry always freshly washed & ironed & rooms always clean. Excellent in my opinion. Activities for residents organised very well, always a fun day.

A beautiful residential home, tastefully decorated and residents rooms are very spacious. My mother receives an extremely high level of care. All staff are very caring, kind, welcoming creating a relaxing environment which is very calming for residents and visitors. All in all it is an absolute pleasure

This place is amazing. The care that has been given to my dad when he was poorly was excellent. My dad feels at home as everyone is treated like family. Management and all staff go above and beyond to help cater for Dad's needs. I never worry about him when I'm not there as the love and care he receives

I always enjoy visiting my Mam at Grampian Court Care Home as the staff are so pleasant and friendly, they look after my Mam very well (gold medal needed) Nothing is too much for them. It is well known as a five-star home, it is run very well indeed!

My husband spent 2 weeks respite in the care of Grampian Court.
The care staff were exceptional, as were the management.
The home is extremely clean and well looked after and the activities were well organized. I would recommend Grampian Court to anyone looking for an exceptional standard of care
for their relatives or loved ones.
Hopefully, I will be using this home again, it is a weight lifted off my mind to have found such a lovely place to leave my husband, it felt very much like home from home.

The overall care for my mother is good. She looks healthy and is putting on weight. My only concern is she has been hit by another resident three times.

The staff in the main are caring, considerate and very helpful, some more than others. Mam was treated with dignity and respect, couldn't ask for anything more. Communication excellent. We were kept informed of health concerns at all times. We would recommend the home to others. Thank you for your support
at difficult times. They have given my mam palliative care - this was exceptional, all carers have been outstanding. Were there whenever needed.

Having worked for HC-One for many years, Emma closely shares the company’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Grampian Court.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Emma remarked:
