Grampian Court Care Home, situated in the friendly town of Peterlee, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised residential and residential dementia care.

This warm, welcoming home offers a choice of several comfortable sitting rooms and dining areas, as well as its own hair and beauty salon and café. The lovely landscaped garden, which is looked after by residents and is a great place to relax in the warmer weather.

The catering team at Grampian Court understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals which can be enjoyed in the spacious dining areas which provide a welcoming space to enjoy meals with fellow residents, or family and friends.

From care assistants to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is there to support residents as they settle in to life at the home. They take time to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests to design a comprehensive activity programme with something for everyone to enjoy. Each time I visit the care home I have found the atmosphere to be very relaxing. My mam always seems to be relaxed and comfortable, any issues that have arisen during my visits which have been few and far between., have been dealt with professionally and immediately by the staff. I have no issues with
this care home. God bless all the staff.

Mam has settled very well in her time at Grampian Court. All the staff cater to her needs very well and give her assistance when needed. We didn't want Mam to come into a care home if we had a choice but as a family we had no choice. We would highly recommend Grampian Court to any family looking for
a care home.

Extremely impressed with the care and attention given by all the staff I came in contact with. Management of the home was not just a name but was regularly facing an active role in the care of my sister-in-law. Staff were always smartly dressed and also gave attention to family and friends visiting
the residents and prepared to answer questions and give help when necessary. Given press reports on care homes in recent years, I was extremely impressed with the all-around standards of this home.

A truly loving, caring, compassionate staff which includes all who work in the home. They show concern for the residents but also for the visitors to the residents. We are amazed at their 100% care, nothing is too much trouble. Care for the terminally ill is all anyone could ask. My sister has been

Mam has been in Grampian for about 22 months now. I visit every day and have consequently got to know the staff and some residents very well. The home is lovely, as are all the staff, who do their best to cater for my mam's needs. My only concern is the number of carers who see to Mam's physical needs,
particularly her toilet needs. Quite simply, there aren't enough staff employed to cater effectively for this. Waiting times for toileting are sometimes very long. I have no complaints at all about the staff, there just aren't enough of them. Surely with the money the owners of the home are taking in each week, they could afford to employ more staff and make what is a very good care home an excellent one. I want to stress again that the existing staff are excellent and I have every sympathy for them because, at times, due to the demands placed upon them, their job is a very difficult and frustrating one. They themselves realise that, occasionally, the service provided could be better.

It was with great sadness that we had to place our Dad in here but truthfully he could not have been placed anywhere better! They care and support and laugh with our Dad. He is safe, secure and surrounded by lovely ladies who cater to his every need. He is very happy and extremely comfortable here.

I would recommend Grampian Court unconditionally. All the staff are lovely with all the residents and care for them as if they were their own family. My mum is having health issues and I know that the staff are brilliant and caring for her and manage difficult situations 100%. Thank you to all staff

My mother has been living here for the past month. In that short time, she and her family have been made to feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff if anything is needed. The staff and manager here go above and beyond to provide a wonderful caring environment.

My dad came into Grampian Court Care Home last week feeling very nervous and unsure. Thanks to the wonderful staff, he is settling nicely. At home, he wouldn't thank you for a meal, having no appetite, but now he is trying many different meals and says the food is beautiful. The management and staff
are fabulous.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of staff at Grampian Court Care Home for the care and compassion given to my mam from June 2022 until she passed in March 2023. When living at home was no longer possible we as a family along with mam choose Grampian Court to care for
her. I believe she had built up a good relationship with the staff who work there. Thank you does not seem adequate but we wholeheartedly appreciate their care and also support for us.

As a family, we couldn't be happier with the service from Grampian. Since his arrival, my grandad's overall welfare has clearly improved. My father has recently been admitted to Grampian Court and it has changed his life. From a man who had become aggressive towards his family, he is now so happy. He enjoys all of the activities which are excellent, taking him out and indoor activities. The care staff are excellent. The home is always
clean and tidy. The management team are really good at answering any questions/helping. Thank you for giving me my dad back!

I love being here. Staff are most obliging; they go out of their way to help. The home is lovely and clean, all activities are wonderful, and I enjoy trips on the minibus. If everyone was like one lady, this would be wonderful, she goes out of her way to help everyone, and activities are great.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Emma has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked for HC-One for many years, Emma closely shares the company’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Grampian Court.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Emma remarked:


“I just love that no two days are ever the same, every day can be a new experience.”


Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending quality time with her two children, family and friends.
