Grampian Court Care Home, situated in the friendly town of Peterlee, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised residential and residential dementia care.

This warm, welcoming home offers a choice of several comfortable sitting rooms and dining areas, as well as its own hair and beauty salon and café. The lovely landscaped garden, which is looked after by residents and is a great place to relax in the warmer weather.

The catering team at Grampian Court understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals which can be enjoyed in the spacious dining areas which provide a welcoming space to enjoy meals with fellow residents, or family and friends.

From care assistants to wellbeing coordinators and chefs, each and every member of the professional care team is there to support residents as they settle in to life at the home. They take time to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests to design a comprehensive activity programme with something for everyone to enjoy. Since my father has come to Grampian Court his care has been outstanding. The staff are so attentive and amazing. They not only care for his daily needs but recognise when he is becoming unwell and needs hospital admission. He is always well turned out, well-kempt and well-fed. O would not hesitate
to recommend this care home.

Mum is as comfortable as we have seen her in the three years she has been at Grampian Court, involved in activities (art, crafts and dancing), it is engagement with others that Mum likes as she gets loads of that (staff and other residents) here. This care home would be a pleasant place to live when you can no longer live unsupported. It's the best one I've seen. It smells nice and is beautifully decorated and has a secure door entry system. My friend looks cared for. Her hair looks nice and she enjoys the food. She was looking forward to an
afternoon of music from a visiting musician. The staff were very kind and caring.

Grampian Court is a care home that is exceptional in every aspect. The building, the staff, the facilities, the care, entertainment etc.
My dad has been a resident for 2 years and he is cared for by a team of people that treat everyone as they want to be treated.
They show the utmost respect and
dignity for a vulnerable group of adults who have, at times, challenging behaviour. As a family, we visit for a good number of hours every day and see first hand just how much devotion is given and we have never once seen or heard anything untoward. Well done Grampian Court, a care home that stands out.

Staff are absolutely fantastic with my Grandad. Always on hand, if we need anything and always happy to answer any questions asked.

Dad has really enjoyed the music today, organised by a certain staff member. The entertainment is great, and the residents enjoy it. Dad said, " it was the best band in the area". Loads of things going on for the resident to enjoy and pass the time.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Emma has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked for HC-One for many years, Emma closely shares the company’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Grampian Court.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Emma remarked:


“I just love that no two days are ever the same, every day can be a new experience.”


Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending quality time with her two children, family and friends.
