My mother-in-law was 89 years old and was very reluctant to give her home up when her health began to fail. She went to Grampian for respite and was very surprised to enjoy the experience. The home itself is outstanding for cleanliness and care is given to everyone.

Food is fabulous and it has an excellent atmosphere. Can't praise the staff and management enough. Also, it does not smell of old age!

My mum was in another care home. We decided to move her because the care she was getting was not good and one carer bullied her. Since she has been in Grampian Court Care Home, she is a different person. She eats well, sits in the sitting room and not in her own room left alone, she is clean and tidy and I have peace of mind knowing she is being looked after.

An excellent care home with such kind, friendly staff. They took time to explain all aspects of the care home to all of us family and resident. The cleanliness was so good, always cleaning staff available for any needs. The manager was lovely on the home visit and put all our minds at rest. Thank you for all your understanding.

We want to say a massive thank you for all the care, friendship, love and support you gave to my Mam, but also to all the family during the final 3 months of my Mam's life. From the moment Mam came to stay in Grampian Court, you could feel the warmth of love from all the staff, no matter what role each of the staff played, everyone always had kind words to say to her. We saw a massive change in Mam, seeing this social butterfly emerging, brought on by inclusion and encouragement of the daily and social activities of the home and also encouraging friendships with other residents. Not only was my Mam loved, but we, the family, also felt the same love offered by each and every member of the staff. Her care was of the highest standards, always making sure all her needs were met, social, emotional, physical and nutritional. In her final days before her passing all the staff showed Mam so much love and concern. I was able to see the amazing care given by all the staff, both through the day and night. The staff made sure Mam was as comfortable and pain-free as possible by the inclusion of District Nurses and Doctors. Mam was shown and given, the dignity she deserved up to and on the day of her passing. We have been so impressed with how Grampian Court is managed. There was always an open door if we need to ask a question or just say 'Hello'. There were always smiles and recognition when we came in. Grampian Court always appears more like a 5* hotel than a residential home! We have been impressed by the high standard of care by all the staff. They are a credit to you and Grampian Court.

Overall Experience

My nan was fragile and underweight when she came to Grampian Court. Leaving her home of many years was disorientating. The level of care she received from day 1 has been more than amazing, she soon got comfortable and health improved. However, of late she did take a steep drop in health and the care just got better than we could expect. All staff looked after both my nan and us as a family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
