As I live in Belgium I really want to be sure Dad is happy! I can see he is in fine form! When me and my family come from Belgium we are all made very welcome! Home from home! Lovely lunch and nothing is too much to ask. Dad is probably not the easiest of people but I'm sure all the staff are very patient with him. Beautiful place, very well kept! Clean and very well organised. Glad to see he is making friends! Thanks for everything.

Mike Dearn

All staff are very caring indeed and all residents are treated with the utmost respect and nothing is too much trouble if you have any queries.
Thank you for your kind words. I will pass your comments on to the Fernhill team.

The staff are very caring and have always been approachable and very helpful.
There is a wide choice of food and drink and visitors are always made very welcome.
All of the staff have been understanding through the initial difficult settling in period. We are very impressed with them.
Thank you for taking the time to review Fernhill House. Feedback is very important to us as we are continually looking to improve and you make some excellent points.

My nan has been moved back to Fernhill House after having a not so nice experience at another care home. Having previously stayed here on respite she is very happy to be back. All of the staff are very friendly and caring. Her spirits are high again after being back here for 2 weeks now. Thank you very much for looking after her so well.
Regards,
Home Manager
I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here with all the care and attention. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review of our home. Our team will be delighted to read your kind words and hearing how much you enjoyed your stay with us.
Kind Regards
This was my first visit to Fernhill to see my grandmother and I was really impressed. The staff were very friendly and always made the effort to say hello. They clearly knew her really well and seemed really caring! Fernhill was beautifully decorated and I loved the outside spaces. The rooms and communal areas were really cosy with lots of thoughtful touches. My grandmother is very happy there and I thought it was a lovely, lovely place. Thank you for taking such good care of her!
Dear Polly, thank you for writing such a positive review of our home, it is very much appreciated. Regards.
All the staff, from receptionists through carers, nurses, catering staff and maintenance personnel are so friendly and welcoming. The home itself has been really thoughtfully designed and decorated. It feels more like a hotel than a care home.
Dear Tess, many thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review, it is much appreciated. Kind Regards.
It is 5-star quality. Conveniently situated on the outskirts of Worcester and only about 3 miles from the M5 motorway Junction 6. Staff and management all very helpful and courteous. If in your price range, I strongly recommend a visit to the home.
Many thanks for taking the time to post such a lovely review of our home. It is greatly appreciated by the team here at Fernhill House.

The whole experience of Fernhill House was 5 star. The entire staff are very welcoming, interested in the residents. it is very clean and very well laid out. There are interesting activities to join in with.

Mike Dearn, Home Manager.
This is a very warm and welcoming nursing home. There are lots going on for residents in-house, and transport is provided for them if they want to go out and do their own thing. The home also organises appointments and transports residents to them, so that really helps families when it comes to hospitals, doctors, dentists etc. Staff are friendly and accommodating. They respond quickly to residents' needs. We all live a distance away, and the fact that everything is included for us is a huge bonus for us as a family. It means we can spend time with our Mum when we visit instead of cooking and shopping for ourselves. There are several communal areas, so there is room to spread out when there are several families visiting relatives at the same time. The atmosphere is happy and busy, but there is enough space to find peace and rest when it is needed by residents and visitors alike.
At Christmas, they invited local people who live alone for Christmas dinner with a programme of activities.
They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They've also invited us to use one of the lounges for our bereavement group, it has a baby grand piano which meant we could have a wonderful carol service just before Christmas.
The establishment is a high specification, warm, clean, smells nice.
Thank you for your very positive review, we are very proud of our Fernhill team
Keep up the good work!!
Thank you for your kind words, we hope you enjoy all that Fernhill has to offer
I was very impressed with the design/philosophy of Fernhill House Care Home and the objective of making it a comfortable home from home. Not like a conventional residential facility for the elderly. Excellent accommodation and service levels.
Thank you very much for your kind review James. I will pass your comments on to the staff.
Fabulous home with wonderful, friendly staff and management. Everyone at the home works so very hard to meet my Dad's needs, who has dementia and has settled really well. The Oscar night was a triumph and was enjoyed by all. My family celebrated dad's birthday in September which we all enjoyed. Roast lunch was lovely along with an amazing Birthday cake compliments to the chef and kitchen staff, the food is always first class.
Thank you so much Jackie, your comments are really appreciated by all our team!
What an absolutely superb care home. The facilities are excellent, the staff welcoming and the food and hospitality second to none. I would highly recommend to anyone seeking exemplary care for family or friends.
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. It means so much to our team.
I have seen a marked change in her. She is brighter, cleaner and happier. She is extremely well-fed and her daily sherry is much enjoyed too!
She loves her daily jacuzzi or shower and she is clean and her hair is always tidy.
Staff are professional, kind and patient - nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.
It is a pleasure to visit - you can't say that about many care homes. When you enter, the place smells good and looks good. This is how all homes should be - older people need to be able to live as they were accustomed.
The only downside is that at the moment there are few residents because it is so new. It feels somewhat empty and there is a lack of activities for Mum. She was used to a weekly keep fit class, quizzes and musical entertainment. I do understand that this is not easy with so few residents and I look forward to the time when more rooms are occupied!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Our team love to hear positive feedback. I know we spoke this morning but just to confirm, you probably missed our lovely keep fit volunteer from mum's move-in to the time of review. Our volunteer does an exercise class once a fortnight. We...
I visited Fernhill in July 2017. It exceeded my expectations of a Care Home for those wishing to enjoy living with exemplary care being offered in a beautiful setting. I stayed for lunch, which was of a very high standard with a range of options. I'm a few years away yet, but I know where I'd like to enjoy my later years.
Thank you very much for your review, Lee. Your feedback means a lot to our team!
I visited Fernhill House in July to see my friend. What an amazing home and nothing is too much trouble for anyone. I would love to move in myself - with a view of the lovely gardens. I will definitely recommend to all my friends and family. I was too late to book in to see Gervase Phinn - but what a treat for those who live here.
Thank you so much, Joan. It is a pity you were not able to see Gervase, he was so popular we may have to invite him again!
Food and accommodation is also 5*, nothing is too much trouble for anyone at Fernhill House.
The few weeks I have been visiting (2 or 3 times per week), without doubt, I have seen that the residents care is outstanding, it is a wonderful and safe place. 10/10.
Thank you so much Barry for your lovely feedback. Everyone here works very hard to provide excellent service

Meet the Team (2)

Hello, my name is Drew, and I am the General Manager here at Fernhill House.
I have over 16 years of experience managing residential and nursing homes, and I am truly delighted to welcome you to our home. Fernhill House is set in beautiful surroundings with extensive grounds for everyone to enjoy, but what really makes it special is the life and warmth that our residents bring to it every day.
Life at Fernhill is all about comfort, connection, and joy. Imagine starting your day with a cup of tea in the Bistro, enjoying a stroll through our gardens, or taking part in a creative activity with friends. Perhaps later you’ll visit our screening room for a classic film or a favourite show, or join one of our lifestyle programmes or trips out in the minibus. Every detail, from 24-hour care to all meals and beverages, hair, beauty and chiropody, private physiotherapy, and daily laundry service, is designed to make life as enjoyable and worry-free as possible for our residents—and their families.
Our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and we see them as part of our extended family. I’m passionate about being hands-on and working alongside our amazing team because I know that when our staff feel happy, valued, and motivated, it creates a home full of warmth, laughter, and care.
At Fernhill, we want every resident to live a meaningful and independent life, surrounded by people who care deeply about their well-being. I hope that when you walk through our doors, you immediately feel the kindness, energy, and dedication that make Fernhill House truly feel like home.
I very much look forward to welcoming you soon, showing you around, and sharing the heart of life here at Fernhill House

Hi, I’m Becky, and I’m the Deputy Manager here at Fernhill House.
I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Fernhill family for the past eight years, starting as a care assistant and growing into my current role. Over that time, I’ve learned that every resident has a story to tell, and getting to know them—their past, their passions, and the little things that make them smile—is the most rewarding part of my work.
Throughout the day, I’m alongside our amazing team, making sure every resident’s individual needs and preferences are met, whether it’s offering a little extra support, celebrating a small achievement, or simply being there to listen. These personal connections are what make Fernhill House feel like a true home, not just a care facility.
By the afternoon, our residents might be enjoying a trip out in the minibus, taking part in a lifestyle programme, or catching up with friends over tea. Even the smallest moments—sharing stories, a hand to hold, or a smile in passing—are what make the day meaningful.
Being part of this team, helping residents live with independence, dignity, and happiness, is an honour. Every day is full of connection, care, and warmth, and seeing residents thrive is what inspires me to give my very best. Fernhill House is more than a home—it’s a place where stories are shared, memories are made, and people truly feel valued.
