My friend's mother was in hospital after a fall leaving her very vulnerable and in need of a nursing care room locally. I had heard of Arlington as a former colleague of mine had received care here so rang asking if there was capacity for nursing care. The dealings with the home were first class in
every way giving great peace of mind to my friend and her family.
Her mother has settled well and has received exemplary care from the staff. Although frail she is able to be wheeled around the garden much to her delight. Her medical needs are being fully met by the caring nursing team and I have witnessed first hand their compassion when dealing with sometimes distressing circumstances.

Mum had a one month respite stay at Arlington Manor, Girton, as she had been having regular falls in the previous weeks at her home. She was initially quite anxious about the new environment but the management and staff did an exceptional job of making the move as easy as possible and integrating her
into the residential community. She settled in immediately, particularly as a result of their activity provision and encouragement to participate in a wide range of activities, and finding out what was important to Mum in her everyday life. A great experience all round and this has helped immensely in easing fears of what and how she will be able to cope as her mobility decreases. Many thanks to Martin and all the staff at Arlington Manor.

My friend moved to Arlington Manor in March, initially for respite care when live-in care at home was no longer meeting her care needs. She was anxious about leaving her home and the prospect of living with other people. The admission was handled sensitively and very well though and she was made very
welcome. Things went much more smoothly than expected and she settled much more quickly than anybody had anticipated. Within a couple of weeks she was feeling and looking much more relaxed, well cared than for a long time, which was wonderful to see. As a former nurse, she has standards of care but here they have been met. This has meant she has relaxed and been accepting of care rather than resisting it. The food and activities on offer are excellent and the garden is a particular joy to visit. Everyone involved has always been really friendly, helpful, professional and kind. Respite care has become a permanent home now and I don't believe we could have found anywhere better.

I was resident in Arlington Manor for 7 weeks of respite care with the aim of recovering sufficient mobility to go home following a fall that badly damaged my leg. I found it to be an excellent Care Home, allowing me to be successful in my ambition. All the staff I encountered were extremely kind,
supportive and friendly and it was a pleasure to be helped, cared for and always encouraged by them. The facilities were very good including, amongst many, an exercise gym, which I made good use of with my physiotherapist, and a very attractive garden opening out from a coffee and tempting refreshments area - ideal for meeting with other residents and visitors. My room was light, well appointed and attractively decorated, as were the corridors. The meals were of a good standard and were adapted to meet particular dietary requirements of the individual. I would have no hesitation in returning to Arlington in future were the need to arise.

My mother came to the dementia community at Arlington in November 2024 a week before she was due, following a hospital admission. We arrived late in the evening (discharge delays), stressed, hungry and tired. I am sure we arrived at an inconvenient time but the staff were reassuring and calming and
provided refreshments quickly. Mum had a live-in carer at home and I was used to her having very responsive, personalised care and apprehensive about how she would adjust to a care home. I chose Arlington because they have a high number of care staff and all staff are encouraged to put the residents first, and they do. Many a time I find Mum chatting to one of the cleaning staff, they happily interrupt their work to interact with her, and know her name. Dementia has made Mum most likely to say "no" to anything, the care staff are responsive to my suggestions and persevere to get her involved in activities. It is difficult to judge but I think Mum is happier at Arlington than she was at home

My father came to Hallmark Arlington Manor following a lengthy stay in hospital and I have been so impressed with the standard of care he has received in the nursing community. He has been treated with so much kindness and respect and the carers really do go above and beyond, not only for the residents,
but also for their families. The nursing staff are extremely knowledgeable and their 24/7 availability is very reassuring. My father particularly enjoys all the food and the home has been readily able to accommodate his changing dietary needs by pureeing his food and providing him with a soft diet, while maintaining very high standards of presentation, which he really appreciates. Throughout his time at Arlington, my sister and I have felt reassured that my father is in the best possible place for him and would thoroughly recommend Arlington for nursing care. As well as being very comfortable for the residents, it provides a really friendly and welcoming environment for relatives to visit.

Mum has been at Hallmark Arlington Manor since May '24. As her confusion has increased, the staff constantly strive to make her life full of happiness and monitor her health with professionalism. The activity schedule is very well organised with fun things to do all the time. Mum has lots to talk about
every time I visit; the mums, babies, and alpacas are her favourites!

My mother came to Arlington for respite care following an operation. She enjoyed her time there, having said that she would never go to a care home, and says she would be happy to go back if necessary. The personal care was attentive and the medical care very good. She really enjoyed the quizzes, crosswords
and music performances. Being a competent artist she did find the art and craft sessions much too basic and not catering to anyone with any ability - this is something which could be improved on.
She really liked the food which was of a high standard, particularly the home made soups which varied every day. The large cinema screen was great for watching Wimbledon and the Olympics! The cafe is a great spot for residents to sit and read papers or just enjoy some company and also for visiting relatives to enjoy the nice coffee and cakes!
The garden is lovely and so well kept and much used in the summer. I would recommend Arlington Manor to anyone looking for great care.

My mother stayed at Arlington Manor for 4 weeks of respite care after a long hospital stay. When she arrived she was very apprehensive, but was instantly welcomed by all the staff she came into contact with. During her time there Mum and all of us were made to feel very welcome and we saw a vast improvement
in her health and general well-being, which we feel is due to the excellent care she received. When we talk about her stay she readily says how lovely everyone was and how she realises that without the care she received there she probably would not have recovered as well as she has, which considering she is 94 yrs is quite remarkable!
We would certainly hope that in the future should either of our parents need full time care that they could stay at Arlington.

She had a wonderful experience; every time we saw her she was happy and laughing and having a great time and she had nothing but praise for the amazing

I am a 93 year old widower, previously looking after myself in an independent living complex for several years. I was rushed into hospital in August with a fever and confined to bed for almost 5 weeks before the appropriate medication was identified, resulting in extensive muscle loss and difficulty
in walking unaided. I have an underlying inoperable cancer for which the recommended regime is palliative care. Hence the decision to move into Arlington Manor. I am still research active in my scientific field, with regular contacts worldwide.
It is perhaps too soon to write a full review of my experience of Arlington Manor. I am certainly impressed by the diligence and friendliness of the staff who all greet me by name. I am most critical of the restaurant menus; the food is perhaps too bland for my taste. The restaurant staff do their best, but I sometimes find it difficult to understand their accents, and they do not always understand what I am asking for.

When Mum needed to go into a care home due to her dementia, it was a really difficult decision knowing she didn't want to go into a home. Although the first few days/ weeks were a little tricky, she ultimately settled and my sister and I both feel, had some of the happiest days in her final few years.
She was cared for well and was always clean and tidy. We had regular discussions about her care to optimise this for her. She'd lost a lot of weight before going in and was able to normalise her weight after a few months. She loved the entertainment, which brought back her singing voice and was able to dance with the carers. The garden is a beautiful haven which she loved visiting all year through, and having a cuppa and biscuit either in the cafe or the garden. There is all one could ask for on-site to ensure a complete service including hairdresser, nails etc.
We now have our aunt staying there, (not with dementia), she has settled well and feels safe and secure. We can't ask for more.

My partner and I were residents of an independent living retirement complex when told that my partner was now terminal, had been categorised as 'fast track' and needed to go into a Care Home.
My partner's daughter and I asked that my partner be placed in Arlington Manor Care Home which is less than
100 yards from our flat which meant that we could visit her frequently.
We were very relieved when it was agreed that my partner could be placed at Arlington.

My husband was a resident on the dementia floor for 18 months. During this time he was well cared for with great kindness. There were activities that he was helped to join in with. As his physical ability deteriorated his care was changed so he remained safe and comfortable. The food was good, cooked
in-house and plentiful. When he died the support and love shown to me was beyond mere duty.

My father is having a lovely time at Arlington Manor care home Girton he looks at it as a five-star hotel, the carers are very professional and any queries on food can be adjusted to his needs.
He treats other residents like his family he can be a charmer but the ladies like this.

My dad has lived in Arlington for two years and is very happy with his care and with his environment.
Staff are very supportive and caring to residents and to family members.
The home is clean, tidy and inviting, and the gardens are a calming and peaceful space to spend time with loved ones.
There
is a wide variety of activities on a daily basis, my dad loves Hangman and the singers!
The dining menu offers a good food selection, and baked goods are available in the cafe during the day.
I would thoroughly recommend Arlington Manor.

An excellent care home. My father has been a resident for two years now and I can honestly say if it wasn't for the excellent care he receives, I don't think he'd still be with us today. Staff are friendly and approachable and clearly care for their residents, I have witnessed a lot of affection from
staff towards residents. Relatives and residents are all able to approach members of staff including management who are always happy to discuss ideas and matters that might arise.
I have visited a number of other care homes, in and outside of the area, visiting other relatives over the years and I have to say Arlington Manor is by far the best.

I stayed at Arlington Manor for five weeks convalescing after an operation, and much enjoyed being there.
The whole experience was positive, and this helped me to get better and recover from my operation. I also felt very safe.
A lovely room overlooking the beautiful garden. Welcoming, friendly staff
who were proactive in offering help and care. Immaculately kept and clean environment Delicious, nutritious food - chefs willing to make a dish on request. So many different details that added to my pleasure being at Arlington; weekly hairdressing and hand care, a well-stocked library, jigsaws, a piano, a sparklingly pleasant cafe with a variety of drinks on offer as well as homemade treats, the chance to read a variety of daily newspapers. There are more facilities that I didn't use much but it all added up to a lively, 'happening' atmosphere with always someone to speak to, including the very knowledgeable gardener from whom I learnt a great deal. Many thanks to all the staff.
