Appearances can be deceptive. Arlington Manor has the appearance of a 4-star hotel, and if your relative would benefit from weekly manicures, cocktail afternoons and similar activities, then Arlington Manor can provide that. However, in my personal experience, this is not the place to choose if your
relative is frail/vulnerable. The home is woefully understaffed and poorly managed. My father's condition deteriorated dramatically during his 2 1/2 month stay, losing a significant amount of weight and experiencing multiple falls. His bedding and clothing were frequently dirty and I dreaded each visit, for fear of what condition I would find him in. He died 2 weeks after being admitted to the hospital with severe dehydration and pneumonia. If I had my time again, I would not have chosen Arlington Manor.

My mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia two years ago, moved into Arlington Manor last month and is settling in well. The design of the physical space is great - light and airy with room to move including a lovely garden. Even more importantly all the staff are excellent helping to make
my mother feel wanted and safe ensuring that the transition to living in a care home was as smooth as possible.

Moving a loved one into care is an extremely emotional time for all involved. My father became aware that he required more care than we were able to give him and was very involved in the whole process, making the decision for himself before it became an urgent need. We had time to research possible
homes, but from the outset, both he and I were impressed by Arlington. All the staff were friendly and appeared happy to be working in the home. He moved there in June and has settled into a delightful room and enjoys the beautiful garden. In an ideal world, I know that he would like to be in his own home, but the help, care and support he receives, along with the company of staff, other residents and visitors, means that he is safe and is less likely to fall ending in a hospital stay. There are plenty of activities and things of interest for those who wish to take part. Any concerns we have are always listened to by the management. I appreciate all the support at a difficult time.

I was a community nursing sister for many years and this care home is the very best of dozens I have visited, worked in and had relatives living in. By miles.
It is immaculately clean, has multiple facilities for use by guests and a lovely, bright cafe for relatives and visitors to help themselves
to refreshments while visiting residents. Arlington Manor is also child-friendly and dog-friendly which as a foster carer and pet lover has been very important to me. If I needed to, I’d love to stay there myself.

My 94-year-old mother was finding it increasingly difficult to manage and lonely on her own at home.
From the moment we made contact with Arlington Manor Care Home, we were made to feel welcome. My mother has been treated with dignity and respect by an excellent team of carers, she loves her room and
sitting in the beautiful, well-tended garden and has made friends amongst the other residents. There are a variety of activities which she attends and she is complimentary about the food.
I cannot recommend Arlington Manor enough. My mother has become less anxious and more relaxed since she moved there a few weeks ago and we, as a family, are relieved to see her in such a comfortable and well-run home.

A very comfortable and well-run home. The staffing levels are very good and they are all attentive to the resident's needs and make huge efforts to engage the residents in wide-ranging activities and celebrating notable events. Being only four years old the standard of the facilities are excellent.

After three weeks in hospital following a fall, my father, 92, could not return home where he had been living on his own. He is highly independent and mentally active. As the discharge date approached, my siblings and I urgently required somewhere welcoming, safe and caring, where both Dad's nursing
and independent living needs would be met. Above all, we wanted somewhere where Dad and all those surrounding him, other residents and the care and nursing staff, are also treated with dignity, respect and appropriate affection. Since Dad arrived in mid-March, despite not wanting to go to a care home, he is settling in very well. Everyone at Arlington has been utterly brilliant and we are so happy that all the criteria we sought are being met. I am incredibly grateful for the efficiency and compassion shown from my very first urgent phone calls, right through to all that is being done day-to-day for his well-being now, and how warmly we are welcomed when we visit Dad. Thank you so much.

My mother has Alzheimer's and became unsafe at home on her own due to her wandering and getting lost. She has been staying at Arlington on a four-week trial period which has been a great success. The facilities are first class as is the food. Having said that it is the staff who make the place so good
and the environment ideally suited to residents such as my mother. They are kind, knowledgeable and attentive. They cater for the individual needs of the residents and show compassion and motivation. It is an excellent facility and I would recommend it to anyone with a family member in the same position as my mother.

My parents moved into Arlington Manor in late February of this year. They are both in their mid-nineties and very independent. My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's over six years ago and my mother has memory and other problems. Arlington Manor is a very comfortable and friendly environment. The
staff are kind and patient with the residents. I am able to visit whenever I want and bring our dog, much to my father's delight. On sunny days my father enjoys the well-maintained gardens and having been a golfer he likes to use the small putting course in the garden. My mother has her hair done in the salon once a week and her nails manicured. She likes the fact that her room is always kept clean and tidy. My parents appear to be settling down at Arlington and the transition from living at home to living in care has been better than I expected. Thank you to all of the staff at Arlington for facilitating this.

My family have enjoyed visiting our mother during her respite stays at Arlington Manor over the years. The welcome received at reception is kind and reassuring and all the Team are pleasant, friendly, and always very helpful. The home is bright and attractive with pleasant walks along the paths and
gardens. Both my mother and I have enjoyed the flowers and carved wooden animals amongst nature as we explore with her wheelchair; followed by sharing tea together in the sunny cafe area where other residents are chatting or being entertained. My mother required nursing care earlier this year, following a stay in hospital, after a serious fall causing trauma to her leg. The nurses showed great concern and consideration to ensure the healing was progressing and keeping me informed with photographs at each stage. Eventually, my 104-year-old mother was free of bandages and her legs were healed. We are grateful to the nursing staff for their expert and successful care.

Having experienced other care home settings I feel that this is a high-quality care and nursing home with many dedicated and empathetic, engaged staff. My father is now more relaxed and less anxious than on arrival six weeks ago. One or two initial issues were listened to and responded to speedily.
As he is totally blind as well as deaf he can feel very isolated and we appreciate that many staff greet him by name and tell him who they are so he can feel some connection. Recently he has, with help, started to try to access one or two activities in the home and has been made welcome. He is eating quite well and his requests for e.g. fruit as an alternative pudding, have been met. He had his 102nd birthday while still in quarantine after his arrival from another care home and the staff made it the best it could be, including bringing him an enormous cake and singing Happy Birthday which he enjoyed!

My Mum joined Arlington Manor for respite care and has now transferred to being a permanent resident. Since joining the home her health has improved dramatically. It is great to see her looking happy and healthy again. She has settled in really well and has made good friends with both the other residents

My husband has been in Arlington Manor for the last three months after a bad fall, and difficult weeks in hospital. He has settled well, looked after by professional and competent nurses and carers (he particularly enjoys interaction with the young and cheerful carers). The few little problems at the
beginning of his stay were dealt with quickly and kindly. The home is very well designed with comfortable spacious rooms, modern big bathrooms, and wide corridors. There are a number of public rooms where regular and various events are organised every week to stimulate and interest the residents. There is also a garden which we look forward to discovering when the weather is better. However, the main asset is the staff, from the management to the maintenance staff. Everybody is very friendly and welcoming, and ready to help in any way not only the residents but their families as well. Highly recommended.

I would definitely recommend Arlington Manor to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one. My mother initially came for four weeks respite care, which was then extended by a further four weeks. All the staff were wonderful with my mother and I cannot praise them enough. My mother’s room (and en-suite)
were very well appointed with doors out onto a patio. As the home has wide corridors, my mother used to enjoy walking up and down them, which helped her to keep mobile and of course, it was a good way of meeting people! My mother said the food was enjoyable and varied. Thank you to everyone at Arlington Manor.

I have worked for Hallmark-Arlington Manor since the grand opening and am very proud to be part of such a well-established honest luxury organisation.


I am committed and dedicated to training and mentoring my team to provide compassionate, respectful relationship-centered care and to promote independence, well-being, and focus on a sense of achievement.


It's very important to me to trust and empower my team to grow and develop their skills and knowledge to be able to offer the best quality and care with confidence to every resident and to each other supporting future aspirations.
My vision is to create engaging, stimulating, welcoming, and relaxed environments that give a sense of security and a place every resident and team member can feel safe and call Home.


I have a wealth of experience in implementing strategies and projects to support and enable individuals living with dementia to maintain abilities and have opportunities for new experiences, reducing expressive behaviours and depression.


I love and am passionate about what I do and feel privileged to share experiences in so many people's lives.
