Lavender Oaks Care Home opened in October 2017 and provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for older individuals living in Carshalton and the wider Sutton area. With a variety of facilities, there is plenty for residents at Lavender Oaks to do, including enjoy a screening in their cinema, celebrate special family occasions in their private dining room or simply take a stroll around their secure, landscaped gardens. Every resident has their own bedroom with an en suite wetroom, and there are a number of communal living and dining rooms for residents to spend their time.

From the moment my mother entered the home we had a lovely warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble, staff so helpful amazing.
My mum as settled in so well with the lovely care from all the staff, everything is so well managed. Nothing is too much trouble, even when the family visit, we get such
a warm welcome.
I highly recommend this home to anyone who is thinking of coming here.
All of my family are very impressed.

Lavender Oaks is a very special place. They take amazing care of my mum who is very happy here. The staff go above and beyond. There always seems to be something going on from pop-up shops to hand massages and nail care. All the residents seem so happy. I can't thank them enough.

I brought my mum in for respite care for 8 weeks. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Her room was like a hotel, felt very reassured when I left her.

We found this to be a very good care home - modern, clean, well-equipped. The staff were always warm and friendly but also very efficient and they know everyone and their visitors by name. The physiotherapists were superb and got Mum mobile again after her spell in hospital. Other residents got to know
Mum too and encouraged her to join in with them. We would have been happy for her to stay for longer but she was desperate to return to her own home which she is now managing with a live-in carer.

My mother has been a resident at Lavender Oaks since September 2020. The quality of care that Mum receives from dedicated, professional, and cheerful staff has been first-class. Her accommodation is wonderful and spacious and the staff have actively encouraged Mum to pursue her love of painting every
day which is a lifeline for her following her damaging strokes. I feel so lucky that Mum is being so well looked after in a facility that my family likens to a hotel.

The professionalism is outstanding and the care, compassion and dignity provided to the residents is exemplary.
The kitchen staff ensured Mum had food she enjoyed and provided an alternative if she didn’t want what was on the menu. The food was excellent.
The domestic staff would always greet Mum
and chat with her whilst doing their work. The home always smells wonderful. The activities staff would talk with Mum to get to know what she liked.
The care staff are superstars. They really got to know Mum. They were all so very good especially treating Mum with dignity. It was so good to see the high standard of care continued with the night staff.
The nurses were so professional in managing Mum's pain and understanding her medical needs.
The reception, admin/finance staff always made us feel welcome when we entered the home.
There is a lovely caring, supportive and respectful culture at Lavender Oaks which is led by the managers and training team. Mum was very happy at Lavender Oaks.

I recently spent four weeks at Lavender Oaks, Mariposa Section, after coming out of hospital. I can’t speak highly enough of the wonderful time I had there, I was made to feel so welcome from the day I arrived. All the staff made my stay a very memorable occasion, I didn’t want to go home. The care
I received and the delicious food was something I will remember for a long time. If the time comes that I can’t look after myself, I would have no hesitation in returning to Lavender Oaks to live. Thank you to all concerned.

The first thing all the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, never too busy to help. Felt very comfortable and safe, companionship was very good, and tea and coffee very good. I was here for respite and if I could afford it if I would stay permanently.

After a stay of 3 months, we will be looking elsewhere that accomodates my father who is in post-stroke recovery. We are sorry this hasn't worked out for us.
Most of the staff we had on one team were fabulous. Two of the nurses we had were brilliant. The food was great. The activities were excellent.

I remain delighted by the quality of life my 93-year-old mother enjoys at the Lavender Oaks Care Home. Covid (and now flu) remains a serious challenge, but I respect the professionalism of the entire staff team faced with it - and their positivity throughout. There are going to be step-changes, but,

Dad came to Lavender Oaks after a period in the hospital following Covid. At this time, he moved into the Dementia part of the home. I visited regularly, getting a good feel for the place. Every single member of staff I met obviously wanted the best for the people in their care. They would take time
to build relationships with the residents and get to understand what makes each of them tick and gets them engaged. All of their interactions were obviously fuelled by a desire to make and have a lovely caring community.
The team are always inclusive and respectful and adapts to everyone's individual needs. They never apply a one size fits all approach and genuinely go out of their way to find ways to engage and generate interest in the residents, even when they can be challenging because of their condition. The environment and facilities are always spotlessly clean, and the food is good. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lavender Oaks; I never felt Dad was getting less than the best care.

My mum was a resident at Lavendar Oaks for a short time and I can not fault any aspect in regard to this home.
From the moment she arrived there, to her death in July, she loved the home and the staff who looked after her.
As I work, here in Ireland, looking after nursing homes in terms of catering,
I know what I am looking for in terms of standards and Lavendar Oaks exceeded in all aspects compared to other homes in the area.
Even after my mum passed, they are still in contact and also welcoming my dad to the home still.

My mum was in Lavender Oaks for two weeks of respite care. All the staff were excellent and very caring. My mum really enjoyed herself and her mobility has definitely improved. The facilities are amazing and very clean, as was her room. I could visit her anytime and was always welcomed by the staff.
I was very happy in the knowledge that my mum was being very well cared for.

After really struggling with our local council I came across the lovely Client Services Manager whilst at the end of my rope! She was both professional, caring and informative all at once and immediately set me at ease.
We placed nan for residential dementia care initially for respite but her improvement
is amazing so we have decided to leave her in place for as long as possible at Lavender to help nurture and give her the best possible care during a horrid time.
The nurses and care staff are all super friendly and helped reassure me every step even when I've been really ill and couldn't get in to see nan they gave me updates and reassured me.

My sister has been in this care home for about three months with Alzheimer's disease. I have visited her several times and I am very impressed with everything I have seen. They bring her down to the lounge where I can chat to her in comfort, either inside or outside with a cup of coffee or tea. The
staff have been very friendly. The home is spotlessly clean with wonderful gardens. I can visit her any day. I have seen her room which is excellent. I know she will be very comfortable there and perfectly safe.

Throughout that time, the staff and carers treated her and the family with the utmost care and compassion, especially in the last few days of her life. Hello, my name is Peter, and I am the Home Manager here at Lavender Oaks.


I have been working in healthcare for the past 18 years and hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Adult Care. I am also a Registered Paramedic.


I am deeply passionate about care and the importance of building positive relationships with our residents, their loved ones, our team and local professionals to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for individuals living in our home.
