Lavender Oaks Care Home opened in October 2017 and provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for older individuals living in Carshalton and the wider Sutton area. With a variety of facilities, there is plenty for residents at Lavender Oaks to do, including enjoy a screening in their cinema, celebrate special family occasions in their private dining room or simply take a stroll around their secure, landscaped gardens. Every resident has their own bedroom with an en suite wetroom, and there are a number of communal living and dining rooms for residents to spend their time.

Mum has been a resident in Lavender Oaks for the past year, she has settled in very well and gets on great with all staff. Mum seems very happy and well looked after and I am made to feel very welcome when I visit, there is a great team in place from management, carers and right through to kitchen housekeeping.

Although not a direct relative of the resident at Lavendar Oaks (the resident is my wife's sister) I have always been very impressed with both the friendliness and kindness of all of the staff. My wife's sister has been at Lavendar Oaks for over 3 years and in my view, it is the most appropriate home
for her needs. In general, the staff seem to be very focussed on her care and wellbeing.

My mum is very happy living at Lavender Oaks. She tells me she finds the staff very helpful and is well looked after. All the staff are lovely in the home and will always tell me how my mum is doing. It feels like one big family.

It was the best decision I have ever made to move my aunt to Lavender Oaks. From the day she arrived, she was surrounded by people who gave her outstanding care and immediately improved her quality of life.
That care was also extended to myself and my family. My aunt's life sadly ended in the middle
of the pandemic. However, I was grateful to be able to spend her final hours with her and I never forget the care and compassion she received to ensure she had a very peaceful end. A wonderful group of people.

My son's (three) sent me to the home as they thought I needed care. I was actually too young as I needed very little care but I could see how well the worse off people were cared for, especially at mealtimes, which would have been impossible for them as they needed individual help.
I was well looked
after in the room and helped in the bathroom when I wanted it. They took me out for splendid walks nearly every day which I needed special carers help given. When I wanted to go back home they were so kind and so helpful and took me right home themselves in your van. I am sorry to say goodbye to all of them and thank them for all the care that I had rather refused!

It has been a particularly difficult time for us due to ongoing health problems with my husband but the fact that we did not have to worry about the care my sister-in-law was getting was a great relief. We cannot stress how impressed we have been with how the staff have coped. We have been able to visit
fairly regularly, without worrying about safety as all the necessary precautions were taken in a very pleasant and efficient manner. She is very content there and although we would have left her in her own home if it has been possible we are so pleased with our choice of care.

My mum who has mental health issues has been in Lavender Oaks since December 2018. I chose Lavender Oaks after seeing other homes as it was such a warm, inviting and friendly place. Without going into too much detail the improvement in my mother's wellbeing and hygiene was noticeable after the first
week and her improvement continued as she was getting proper medical care, eating decent food and the carers ensured her fluid levels were maintained. The carers have changed over this time but they have all been fantastic.
It was a tough decision choosing a home but this was one of my better decisions. I have total confidence in the staff and I have absolute trust that my mum will get the best care possible.
The home provides regular communications and during COVID this regularity increased which was reassuring. I also thank the home for the approach they took to protect all residents from infection during this time. I cannot thank the staff enough for all that they do.

Our father moved into Lavender Oaks in February 2020. This was a big adjustment for him having lived on his own for 10 years. The staff were so warm, friendly and efficient. They understood the adjustment Dad was having to make and were incredibly supportive. All the staff treat him with dignity and
nothing is too much trouble. Dad began to settle and join in some of the activities. Then the COVID virus prevented us from visiting and many activities had to stop. I have such peace of mind knowing he is safe, surrounded by caring staff to look after him and a good nursing team are on hand if needed. I am so grateful to them and even more so at this time of being unable to visit.

My very good friend has been a resident in Lavender Oaks for just over a year and I visit her frequently. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and much in evidence. The home has a very pleasant atmosphere and is light and airy. It is in lovely surroundings with a beautiful garden.

It is a pleasure to visit my friend at Lavender Oaks Care Home. The staff always offer a warm friendly greeting. My friend is thriving in this inclusive and non-judgemental environment. The staff are respectful and encouraging, and my friend responds well to them all. She is enabled to maintain pride
in her appearance, and her personal care needs are met. She enjoys frequent visits to the hairdressers, and her nails are manicured and painted regularly. On a social level, my friend is encouraged to participate in many activities. She loves exercising and singing with the activities team, who do an excellent job and are so understanding of the residents and their needs, desires and abilities. The activities team are marvellous ambassadors for Lavender Oaks Care Home, as indeed are all the wonderful caring staff. Thank you to the whole team at Lavender Oaks Care Home who look after my friend so well.

My dear mother had spent 11 months at Lavender Oaks and sadly passed away in May 2019. During this time, my mum was so well cared for, loved even, by the most wonderful staff, all of whom went beyond the realms of their actual duties. She was happy, which in turn made us happy because we had peace
of mind knowing she was safe and well cared for. During her final week of life, the tender loving support from all the staff concerned, not only for our dearest mum but for us her family, made her final hours truly peaceful. The warm welcome we received each and every visit, the superb facilities which are there for all to enjoy, were absolutely superb. Very professionally run by extremely hard working loyal staff.

I am the friend of a resident at Lavender Oaks. She has been there since October 2018. Her whole life has changed since being here - the care is excellent. She does a lot of activities and goes out on the bus to museums, garden centres and pub lunches. Her family who lives in America have peace of mind
that she is safe. So well done to all the staff from the excellent management and carers. The food is excellent and hosts in the dining room do a great job. Well done to all the chefs. They have a great team spirit and the family and I are so pleased she is here.

My father-in-law has been a resident for 1 year. The care he has received has been exceptional and the high standards of this home have been maintained from day one. To see him happy and at ease in his surroundings is such a huge relief and the wonderful staff here are a credit. Fantastic.

I have found the care home a very friendly environment where the staff at all levels are always friendly and helpful.
If I may make a suggestion, it would be preferable if residents were coaxed to spend more time outdoors in good weather rather than sitting watching TV.
More mind-stimulating activities
would be preferable than being glued to the box.

Hello, my name is Peter, and I am the Home Manager here at Lavender Oaks.


I have been working in healthcare for the past 18 years and hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Adult Care. I am also a Registered Paramedic.


I am deeply passionate about care and the importance of building positive relationships with our residents, their loved ones, our team and local professionals to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for individuals living in our home.
