Lavender Oaks Care Home opened in October 2017 and provides 24 hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care for older individuals living in Carshalton and the wider Sutton area. With a variety of facilities, there is plenty for residents at Lavender Oaks to do, including enjoy a screening in their cinema, celebrate special family occasions in their private dining room or simply take a stroll around their secure, landscaped gardens. Every resident has their own bedroom with an en suite wetroom, and there are a number of communal living and dining rooms for residents to spend their time.

My mother was made to feel at home by the care staff on Butterfly Wing which was a tremendous help in her transiting from living in her flat to a care home. She has built great relationships with the staff and she enjoys the trips arranged in the minibus by the home. Overall as a family, we feel mum
is safer and happier.

My mother is 86 at Christmas and has not been eating properly for years and has many health issues. She became really weak and frail and at last decided to at least try a short stay in a care home. We looked at 4 for her and chose Lavender Oaks. She has been there a week and I cannot believe the care
and attention, kindness and time her carers spend with her. Every aspect is excellent and Mother is actually eating regular meals and gaining strength. I saw a card in the foyer to write a review and happy to do so! I'd recommend this establishment to anyone!

The staff at Lavender Oaks Care Home were extremely professional and kind and caring. Nothing was too much for them and they went out of their way to ensure that my elderly mother got the end of life care she needed and was comfortable and able to eventually pass peacefully. The rooms are spacious and
modern and the home itself has a lovely atmosphere and is set in beautiful surroundings. There was always a friendly greeting and regular tests for Covid were carried out to protect the clients. I highly recommend this wonderful care home.

I want to thank all staff for their warm welcome and friendliness over the years in making my visits to Lavendar Oaks so special. The home certainly excels in its real home from home feel and my lovely friend spent the most wonderful time there. To sit with her over a delicious coffee and cake in beautiful
lounges, overlooking amazingly well-tendered gardens, made my visits and our time together so special and relaxing. Particular thanks to those lovely reception ladies and those hardworking, well-trained staff for being so attentive in providing such excellent care for her, treating her with dignity and respect. Her room was spotless, food excellent and the home catered for her every need. All staff were her good friends. I feel comforted that she had such first-class treatment, it suited all her needs and I don't hesitate in recommending this fabulous place to anyone considering first-class care for a loved one.

I am very pleased with the care my brother receives at Lavender Oaks Care Home and feel he could not be in a better place. The best part of the service is the friendly staff who couldn't be more loving and considerate. From my first meeting with the Home Manager and Head Nurse who put my mind at ease,
I felt very confident I was making the right decision. Over the years my brother has settled in well and through his stay, he has received excellent care with respect and dignity. With the 24 hours care and support for my brother's well being, I feel very confident I have made the right decision and wouldn't fail to highly recommend Lavender Oaks Care Home when the first opportunity arises. A huge thank you to the Managers and all the staff for their kindness and care.

After a bad experience in hospital, I came to Lavender Oaks in December 2021 and straight away received nothing but kindness and care, all staff are amazing including catering and handymen, my improvement here has been amazing all with help from the wonderful staff.

Mum arrived at Lavender Oaks care home just before Christmas in quite a bad way, she had been mistreated in hospital in several ways. The day mum got there and got settled into her room the first thing she was asked was if she’d like a cup of tea, to my mum that meant everything. The level of care we’ve
experienced by the team at Lavender Oaks has been absolutely superb, I finally feel okay about leaving her somewhere where I know she’s being looked after properly. I’m extremely grateful for what you do and continue to do for my mum. She’s come a long way since she left the hospital and that’s all down to you. Thank you.

I have been amazed at the overall consistency of good care and friendliness of the staff. Occasional issues were quickly dealt with. The covid pandemic has been a challenge considering this I have nothing but praise for the staff I come into contact with at Lavender Oaks on a daily basis. The Senior
Management are not overly responsive or helpful but luckily they are not directly interacting with mum! This does not include the Home Manager who is great.

My 94 year old mother has settled in extremely well (moved in only 2 months ago) at Lavender Oaks Care Home, mum has made friends and started to join in activities that are on offer. All the staff are polite, attentive and courteous. Lavender Oaks is clean and well presented with a good atmosphere

My uncle has recently moved into nursing care at the home. I am very impressed by the facilities that the home provides, the general standard of care, and the quality of the staff. His room is very spacious and he appears to be eating well despite being rather anti food generally. He was not eating
well in his own home in recent months before moving into first the hospital and now the care home.

Lavender Oaks has been an absolute godsend in caring for our mother, especially in these COVID times. We are so relieved to know that she is happy and well cared for. We always enjoy our visits to Lavender Oaks and feel welcome. My brother-in-law is well cared for by the staff, who are concerned for his well-being. The bedrooms and living areas are bright and the gardens are beautiful. Birthdays and special occasions can be celebrated in the family private dining-room
once Covid restrictions are lifted. Residents enjoy outings to local parks and countryside in the minibus.

Quite honestly, I do not think anyone could reasonably expect a higher standard of care or respect for residents and patients than I witnessed over the three and half months my late mother spent there receiving end-of-life nursing. In addition to the care and attention, the home is very well-appointed,
clean, smart and comfortable, which was also important to us. Sadly owing to Covid-19 even when my mother was stronger at the start of her stay there, she wasn't able to take advantage of many of the home's lovely facilities and services but the staff made every effort to help her socialise and meet others, which was much appreciated. As my mother's illness progressed, as expected, I got to know her care team well and I was very touched time and again by their responsiveness, level of care and kindness shown to me and my family. I would have no hesitation to recommend Lavender Oaks Care Home to any caring families wanting the very best welfare and nursing possible for their loved ones.

Hello, my name is Peter, and I am the Home Manager here at Lavender Oaks.


I have been working in healthcare for the past 18 years and hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Adult Care. I am also a Registered Paramedic.


I am deeply passionate about care and the importance of building positive relationships with our residents, their loved ones, our team and local professionals to achieve the best possible care and outcomes for individuals living in our home.
