Very impressive in all aspects, from our first visit twelve months ago, to date. Facilities, staff, friendly and welcoming, attention to details, clean, tidy and so on...
A couple of glitches along the way, which have been attended to promptly.
I would recommend arranging a visit and see for yourselves.

The staff are all kind, helpful and polite. Nothing is too much for them to help. There is a happy and relaxed atmosphere on mum's unit, which only changes when needs must. Mum has a choice at each meal and is well fed. The food is lovely I've arranged a private lunch with mum so have sampled it many
times. Mum is very happy which makes me very happy.

My husband was very well cared for in his last illness. We are both treated with kindness and compassion and our wishes considered wherever possible.
There were one or two small issues which were swiftly dealt with. There were 4 nurses whose care was outstanding and we were always pleased when they
were on duty and the management team were compassionate and kind. Overall, were more than satisfied with the room and care we both received and my husband died in peace.

Mum was very nervous about entering into Lincroft but we had looked around at a few alternatives and soon realised Lincroft offered far and away the best facilities and care and we knew Mum would be really happy here.
Mum and, indeed, all of us, were made extremely welcome from the first day. They
made her so comfortable and all the other residents were really friends.
The Bistro area / coffee shop is an amazing place for mingling and joining in conversations and seeing a lot of new faces everyday. Other visitors, young and old and even pets all join in together to chat.
The daily activities are incredibly varied - I have never known Mum do art in her life but she threw herself into whatever was on offer. She looked forward to the cinema afternoons as well.
From the minute you step through the door to visit all sthe staff are friendly and welcoming and this feeling carries through every day.

My mother was a resident for 2.5 years and from day 1 she felt loved by everybody. Sadly passed away in the first week of October. Thank you all for being so kind, patient and understanding to a grand old lady of 102 years. She didn't mix with many people due to her ongoing dementia but formed a close
bond with a few of the carers and other staff. Mum didnt join in many of the activities, probably due to her illness and deafness, but she was happy to the very end for which we are truly grateful.

Staff laid on an amazing afternoon tea for my Mothers Birthday - staff are always so friendly and helpful.
Back in May staff at Lincroft held a secondary wedding ceremony (after a registry office wedding) they really made the day very special for my Mum (who can not leave the home) and myself and my
Husband and laid on an afternoon reception- they really went beyond expectations.

Our mum was a resident at Lincroft Meadow for almost 4 years. Throughout her stay, she was met with kindness, care and respect. Her ability to join in with activities was limited but she enjoyed the musical ones and the church services in particular. Taking the decision to move Mum from her home
to Lincroft was extremely difficult but we do not think she could have been in a better place as the impact of Alzheimers and her nursing needs were understood and met. As relatives, we were always welcome and kept up to date with any changes in her care and routines. The staff were friendly and professional and we appreciated the consistency in the management and nursing teams. Prior to her death Mum was treated with compassion and dignity and we are so grateful for the support and understanding that we received. We will miss our visits there.

I started visiting Lincroft in February 2023. We attended the monthly toddler group and loved it. Seeing all the residents' faces light up was just so lovely. At the time, my children were 5 months and 3 years old. We have been coming every month since. We have built some lovely friendships with the
residents and my children love coming. We often visit at any opportunity, we are always so warmly welcomed. The staff are exceptional! It's a truly wonderful place to visit. The residents always appear very happy.

From my first meeting with the Client Services Manager, I felt welcomed and knew that my Father would be valued and cared for at Lincroft Meadow. Time was taken to understand his physical, emotional and spiritual needs and to learn much about the man and his life history. I was impressed that on my
initial tour, conversations were had with every resident we met and an interest was taken in each individual. We were offered a room promptly and given help and support with a difficult transfer from a hospital in Wales. My Father was made immediately welcome and his needs assessed. Sadly, he passed away after five weeks but he, and we, were made to feel a part of the community and enabled to celebrate Xmas together. The care my Father received on Snowdrop was exemplary; I was impressed with the quality and communication of the staff and their relationship with the GP, facilitating the best medical care. At a difficult time, the staff also cared for us which was special and much appreciated.

Today, 8 of the family came to the Lincroft Easter Egg Hunt. We ranged in ages down from 2 years old. Everyone had a fabulous time, the morning was excellently organised and we all had a lot of chocolate, and cake.
The lovely touches that were done especially for the children made the time very special.
Thank you to the Client Services Manager and all of her team.

Mum has been at Lincroft Meadow Care Home since February when she stayed for respite care when Dad went into hospital. Unfortunately, Dad passed away and Mum's stay became long-term. We cannot praise the staff enough for helping Mum who has dementia to settle in at what has been a very difficult time.
The care and kindness shown is fantastic. We were worried about Dad's funeral but the staff were amazing. They reserved a quiet area for family members to meet beforehand and thoughtfully provided refreshments. A staff member also discreetly attended the service in case we needed support with Mum and was there to welcome her back afterwards. This took a lot of the worry out a difficult day. It is a relief to the family to know Mum is being so well cared for. There are lots of lovely activities organised at the home and we appreciate the staff taking the trouble to gently encourage Mum to join in. If we need to talk anything over, there is always someone available. Thank you Lincroft.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.937)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.937) out of 10 for Lincroft Meadow Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 36 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.937 for Lincroft Meadow Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (403 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 428 Ratings = 4.937
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lincroft Meadow Care Home is based on 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Since working at Lincroft Meadow, it has been a delight to see our residents engage in the different activities we organise and the positive impact this has on their lives.

My team and I are passionate about offering a wide range of activities that cover a variety of interests, helping our residents improve their physical, social, and mental well-being. As a team, we strive to provide person-centred activities for all of our residents.

Hello, my name is Kerry, and I am the Home Trainer here at Lincroft Meadow.

I have over 15 years of experience in health and social care, from being a private carer to working in domiciliary care, and for the last nine years, I have worked in care homes. I joined Lincroft Meadow as a Health Care Assistant in 2020 and have been a Home Trainer since 2022.

I aim to ensure our team have the training and support necessary to provide our residents with top-quality care. In my role, I promote person-centred care and always speak to our residents for feedback. I love working with our team in the home, and not only sharing my knowledge and experience but learning from them too. I believe that small changes matter and can benefit an individual in all areas of their life.

I have a variety of qualifications, including a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, a Level 2 in Health and Social Care and a Level 4 Advanced Moving and Handling Trainer. Since August 2025, I have been undertaking my Level 4 Learning and Skills Mentor qualification.
