Lincroft Meadow Care Home is an exceptional home in the heart of Kidlington in Oxfordshire. The home provides residential, nursing, respite and dementia care for individuals with a range of differing health needs. As well as having an experienced and passionate team of carers and nurses, Lincroft Meadow provides comfortable, modern and spacious surroundings perfect for delivering the very best care.

We were so pleased to have found such a warm, caring environment for Dad in his final months. Lincroft Meadow really felt like a second home - friendly, welcoming, and such a pleasant place to visit. It was a huge relief to know that Dad was in safe hands and would receive outstanding care around the
clock. We were particularly impressed with how well the staff kept us up-to-date on Dad's condition and liaised with us to make the best possible decisions on his behalf. Just as importantly, as his health declined, we knew that the final chapter of his life would be filled with kind words and friendly faces.

The Lincroft Meadow staff have been truly outstanding in their kindness and support for Mum since she moved in at the beginning of October. Every member of staff with whom we've interacted has seemed genuinely caring and kind; their patience, stamina and kind attentiveness have been exemplary during
a transition period that Mum has at times found disorienting.
The quality of the facilities at Lincroft is also excellent. Mum has a lovely room, and the ample, well-kept provision for care needs and for activities and entertainment is remarkable. We've not seen anything like the abundance and range of daily activities laid on for residents in any of the other homes that we've visited.
Perhaps what's most telling is the genuine enthusiasm that staff seem to feel for working at Lincroft and being with the residents. So many of them have said that they honestly love working there, and their ready, kind smiles contribute hugely to the ethos of this special place. Thank you!

My mother spent fifteen months in Lincroft Meadow Care Home until she sadly died on the 17th of the 7th 2023. During this time I cannot thank all the staff enough for their care, attention and empathy to my mother and myself and family. Thank you Lincroft Meadow Care Home.

Amazing - the decision to move 101 year old Nan here (from another Home) was made instantly on the initial 1st class, reassuring visit and show around. Not only is this Home perfect, it is complemented by full staff who go over and above on every occasion. Nan has settled so happily, whilst lapping
up the ambience and interaction. Her appetite’s returned and when visiting we go to the Bistro for coffee and cake - all complimentary. Nan’s comments have been:
‘What’s the name of this nice hotel?’
‘It’s lovely here, all these lovely colours and things!’
‘Ooh, the food is gorgeous - look at my belly!’
‘Everyone here is lovely, I could not ask for more.’
As a family we certainly could not ask for more for our precious Nan, (102 next month) who’s happy and content in her forever home.
Just one request ‘Lincroft please don’t change anything - it’s all perfect and Thank you’.

It is so wonderful that places like Lincroft Meadow Care Home exist. My mother has been a resident since April and we have all been beyond impressed by the incredible staff. Everyone goes out of their way to meet any and all needs with warmth and respect and the home feels like just that - a real home.
I am warmly welcomed whenever I visit and my mother feels like she is on an extended holiday. She is so happy and already looks fitter and younger. She is enjoying all the activities and socialising with other residents and the food is of an extremely high standard. Above all the staff are caring, friendly, warm and respectful. I can find no fault.

Lincroft provided the most wonderful care for my mother during a few weeks of respite care. The staff were all amazing - caring and compassionate and made a real effort to get to know her, engage her in conversation and help her to meet other like-minded residents. The facilities were excellent: her
room was very comfortable and 'The Bistro' cafe area was a great place for residents to meet each other and also entertain visitors. The customer services manager was particularly responsive and helpful, from our initial enquiry to helping my mother move to a more suitable room after a few days and assisting with various other requests. I cannot fault the home in any way and would highly recommend it to others.

The support my mother and our family are receiving from the staff at Lincroft Meadow Care Home is first class. Communication is very good and staff respond quickly to emails or phone calls and we are kept well informed. When we have requested a meeting with staff it has been organised quickly and we
have never felt rushed or that we are taking up too much of their time. Staff at all levels are friendly and approachable and have the resident's best interests at heart. They know their clients as individuals and have provided reassurance and alerted family when my mother is not so good. We really appreciate the partnership between our family, my mother and the Lincroft staff.
The range of activities on offer is very good and I am impressed by the use of the Lincroft FB page which details what is going on. It is always a pleasure to see a photo of my mother on the page.

Mum has been a resident for five weeks now and we have seen her general and mental health improve since transferring from living at home. At almost 100 years old, she is a very sociable person and enjoys interacting with the fabulous staff, who make such a fuss over her. Because of her dementia, we
feel she is now in a safe, caring place where nothing is too much trouble and we have peace of mind for her safety and wellbeing. From the nurses to the maintenance staff, the chefs to the drivers, everyone is genuinely friendly and Mum has got to love their company.

As a family, the best thing we did was move my parents to Lincroft from a care home which was unsuitable. Facilities are excellent as is the cleanliness.
Food is very varied, fresh and of restaurant standard, although quite small portions. The daily, homemade cakes on offer in the bistro area are a
nice touch and this area provides a lively central hub for families to meet.


The carers are great and genuinely try and enrich the residents' lives. My mother sadly died at the home recently and we were very well supported by the staff. They treated my mum and all of us with the utmost respect and dignity, nothing was too much trouble. They have continued to support my dad and to keep him entertained, even though he is going through a hard time.


The activities are varied and consistent. They work hard to keep the residents entertained. We feel that there are not many trips out but we have discussed this. The cinema is a firm favourite for my dad.
Would recommend.

From our first contact with the home, we have been pleased and impressed. My father had intended to enter Lincroft Meadow as a resident, but due to unexpected circumstances, is there receiving nursing care. All the staff are kind, friendly, helpful, cheerful and caring. With the care he is receiving,
my father's condition has improved more quickly than anticipated, and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

Hello, my name is Elaine Ratcliffe, and I am the Home Manager here at Lincroft Meadow.


I joined the Lincroft Meadow team when our home was still a building site, so I have truly been here since the beginning! It was wonderful to see our home develop, but the most special moment for us was when we opened our doors and welcomed our very first residents.


I have worked in the care sector for 17 years, starting as a care assistant and working my way up to management roles. I am passionate about caring for our senior community, and I'm proud that my team share the same values.

Having worked in the care industry in a variety of roles for over sixteen years, I joined the team at Lincroft Meadow four years ago and can honestly say it is the nicest home I have ever worked in. There is a genuine team spirit here at Lincroft Meadow that makes it a pleasure to come to work every day.


My role as client services manager involves supporting people through the process of choosing a care home, and I find it incredibly rewarding to be able to provide guidance, reassurance and compassion at what is often a difficult time for individuals and their loved ones. Before joining the team at Lincroft Meadow I was a pastry chef for one of the Oxford Universities. After a while, I started my own cake business, which I ran from my home for two years.


My grandma lived in a care home, and I always admired the activities department and everything they organised to enrich the lives of their residents. Because of this, I decided when I saw this role advertised that it was time for me to give back to the community, so I applied!
