The care is excellent, together with the food, warm and friendly atmosphere. The home has a friendly warm welcome. All the staff and management have been amazing in what has been a stressful time and I can't thank them enough.

My mother needed nursing care for the last few weeks of her life and following a friend's recommendation we chose Lincroft Meadow. Mum felt very safe and secure at Lincroft. She was very impressed with the level of care and how lovely the care staff were. She was amazed at how quickly they responded
to her call button and delighted to discover it wasn't just for emergencies and the staff encouraged her to use it for things like wanting a coffee or help accessing a puzzle book or pen if it was out of reach (she was too weak to walk and was bedridden in her last few weeks). She thought the food was excellent and it was lovely to see her appetite return on her admission.
There were some inconsistencies in the covid visiting restrictions/requirements being applied by differing receptionists but these were usually resolved by a quick word with the management, and to be fair the rules were changing quite often at the time.

I've been very impressed by Lincroft Meadow from the outset. It stood out from other care homes at the enquiries stage and two months since mum moved in it continues to impress. The home is beautifully furnished, the staff are friendly, kind, and upbeat and there is a good programme of activities for
residents to enjoy. Mum has settled in well and is now thriving rather than just surviving!

Mum needed a period of respite as her care needs had increased after a heavy cold. We received a prompt response and good advice from the outstanding Client Service Manager and our immediate concerns were swiftly dealt with. Throughout her stay, we were delighted with the attitude of the staff who
helped to make her welcome and 'at home'; the food was varied and well planned, and we loved being able to walk around, go down to the garden and visit whenever we wanted. The impossible task of replicating her own home and the continuous 'one to one' care she received there was offset by our experience of a friendly, happy and comfortable care home. It was both a holiday for us and her. Many thanks.

I can only say that I am very grateful indeed for all the kindness, patience and care given to my wife over the last few months of her final illness, often under what must often have been difficult conditions. I did not see much of the catering and activities at first hand but I am confident that they

My mother has been in the care of Lincroft Meadows for just over four months now. The transition from her home to the care home which is a difficult time was made so easy with the help of the admin and nursing staff there.
Mum is really enjoying being a resident at Lincroft, she had a lovely Christmas
and 90th birthday celebration and was made a big fuss of. I cannot praise the carers and nursing staff enough and neither can mum. She is very well taken care of and valued. Thank you to everyone.

My mother settled much more quickly than I had anticipated when she reluctantly came to Lincroft in November 2021.
I live some distance away and when unable to visit, staff have kept me up to date and have asked for, and listened to, my views. Her health has deteriorated quite rapidly and staff have
responded in a caring and professional manner. A specialist bed was provided and adaptations have been made as her needs have changed. The nursing staff liaise with the local GP and have arranged for me to meet with the GP when I have requested this.
Covid compliance and health and safety are taken seriously without being oppressive.
All staff - reception, care, housekeeping, nursing and management are friendly and welcoming and staff make themselves available to speak to me when I have queries or concerns.
I expected my mother to tolerate being in a care home at best. However, she often comments on how kind everyone is and I believe she feels safe and secure.

My husband became a resident in Lincroft Meadow on his discharge from hospital. He was extremely ill when he arrived and unfortunately died after only 4 days. The home was the silver lining to a very grim period. I am sure he received the very best care and was made as comfortable as he could possibly
have been. The staff were cheerful, efficient and above all caring. I am not sure how much my husband was aware of but I am sure that I could not have got through this dark period of my life so well without knowing he was in the best possible surroundings receiving the best possible care.

My dad was a resident at Lincroft Meadow for eighteen months until his passing. The first year gave him a fantastic boost as he had the companionship and stimulation he had missed during Covid - he loved going to the cinema and joining in with all the activities. His last few months of deteriorating
health were sad and challenging but a silver lining was knowing he was being so well looked after. The staff went above and beyond to make sure he was safe and was treated with dignity. Their communication with the family was excellent. In the final days they were all incredibly flexible and respectful which meant we all - and the dog - could say our goodbyes. We are deeply thankful that the staff were able to make so many adjustments and take on so much additional caring to enable Dad to stay at Lincroft until the end of his life.

The resident for whom I had powers of attorney spent the last four months of her life at Lincroft Meadow, so this assessment relates only to that short time and to the limited use which she was able to make of facilities at the care home.
Both I and other members of her support group were impressed
by the attractive, spacious, well-planned layout and rooms at Lincroft Meadow, the calm and welcoming atmosphere, the helpful attitude of the management, and the high standard of committed, professional nursing care which our friend received.
The charges at this care home are relatively high, but we thought that they were justified by the service and that our friend got value for money.

Nothing is too much trouble for residents, they have a fantastic Christmas program planned with a great activity team. There is a whole home approach to all care within the home. Since my mother moved into Lincroft in May, initially for respite care, she has been looked after with care and attention. The initial period was hard for her as she had to reconcile her move from independent living but the care, patience and attention shown by the team was exemplary. She is now settled

Lincroft Meadow has provided my dad with a happy and settled home. As a family, we are so reassured he is in a safe, secure and happy environment. Lincroft Meadow is a very special place and we have witnessed many amazing acts of kindness to my dad and other residents by caring professional staff. Throughout
the pandemic the manager has kept the family informed of the steps they are undertaking to provide a Covid safe environment while still accommodating communication between residents and their family and providing visits in a safe environment. The team at Lincroft provide a full timetable of activities that dad enjoys. Residents well-being really seems to be the focus at Lincroft. The manager keeps us well informed on what is happening at Lincroft and recently we were invited to attend a meeting to discuss what would be happening at Lincroft in the next few months. Lincroft is a very special place. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Elaine Ratcliffe, and I am the Home Manager here at Lincroft Meadow.


I joined the Lincroft Meadow team when our home was still a building site, so I have truly been here since the beginning! It was wonderful to see our home develop, but the most special moment for us was when we opened our doors and welcomed our very first residents.


I have worked in the care sector for 17 years, starting as a care assistant and working my way up to management roles. I am passionate about caring for our senior community, and I'm proud that my team share the same values.

Hello, my name is Suzi Morgan, and I am the Client Services Manager here at Lincroft Meadow.


Having worked in the care industry in a variety of roles for over sixteen years, I joined the team at Lincroft Meadow four years ago and can honestly say it is the nicest home I have ever worked in. There is a genuine team spirit here at Lincroft Meadow that makes it a pleasure to come to work every day.


My role as client services manager involves supporting people through the process of choosing a care home, and I find it incredibly rewarding to be able to provide guidance, reassurance and compassion at what is often a difficult time for individuals and their loved ones. I love the opportunity to be able to help every step of the way, from touring our home and moving to take advantage of everything we have to offer our residents.

Hello, my name is Rebecca Goodgame, and I am the Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator here at Lincroft Meadow.


Before joining the team at Lincroft Meadow I was a pastry chef for one of the Oxford Universities. After a while, I started my own cake business, which I ran from my home for two years.


My grandma lived in a care home, and I always admired the activities department and everything they organised to enrich the lives of their residents. Because of this, I decided when I saw this role advertised that it was time for me to give back to the community, so I applied!
