Lincroft Meadow Care Home

I have found the staff very helpful and looked after my wife as if she was family.

I wasn't able to have a full tour of the care home, due to covid, but from what I saw, I was more than happy.

Excellent facilities and care all-round.

We are so fortunate to have Lincroft Meadow on our doorstep. My mother is still in the heart of her community. Every effort is made to do activities she enjoys and mean something to her. Marmalade making, choirs, dance, friendship and individual care and affection from all the staff. Such peace of mind for her family, who are made welcome and part of the Lincroft community.

Have been well looked after and treated as though I am a welcomed, old friend.

What a remarkable recovery my mother has made since January, being cared for by the staff in Lincroft Meadow. Prior to lockdown, she was fit, healthy and sociable but within the last few months became anxious, frail and lonely. The kindness and care given by the staff has enabled my mother of 91 years to bounce back to her normal self. A huge thank you for restoring her confidence.

I would not want my husband to be anywhere else. I would also like to say a very big thank you to all the staff.

The GP sees him regularly and calls me at home if has any concerns.

Mum moved into Lincroft Meadow shortly before Christmas when her dementia meant she could no longer live independently. Her admission was arranged very swiftly by the team and they were able to manage Mum's extreme anxiety and settle her in well. The staff are all very friendly and professional and my mum has warmed to them well. You cannot fault the levels of comfort and cleanliness in the home and the food looks pretty impressive too. It was a difficult decision to move Mum into a home but I'm happy we chose the right place.

Mum has been in Lincroft since February 2019 as she has advanced Alzheimer's and is now bedridden. My dad and I visited many homes before deciding on Lincroft as it was important Mum would be happy and loved. She settled in very quickly as the staff were so lovely and caring and put Mum at ease. Before covid, we could visit at any time. We were welcomed by all members of staff regardless of their position in the home. Unfortunately, covid has had a major impact on visiting homes and loved ones were separated abruptly. However, Skype was in place from the beginning and we still do this 3 time's a week. Dad can visit once a week and is tested each time he visits. Until covid, activities were in place regularly throughout the week. The food is fantastic, 3-course meals, unfortunately, Mum has very limited taste but they ensure she gets her nutrition with shakes and pureed meals along with her favourites, chocolate and cake. I get regular updates on how Mum is and she looks well. Thank you all.

We went to this Home from recommendations given and would certainly give the same messages to others.

My father enjoyed his meals and evidence of this good nutrition was reinforced by his gaining a few pounds from his normal weight. This had remained the same since 1950, as evidenced from his recorded weight on the rowing oar I have at home, one of three he earned whilst studying medicine at Cambridge.

I had a very enjoyable stay during a period of convalescence. The home was warm and comfortable and I had everything that I needed. I couldn't fault the staff, they were amazing! Everyone was welcoming and made me feel at home. I enjoyed the activities and talks that were provided and enjoyed the company. Sometimes I felt the food was not as expected, but if I wanted something else, this was provided upon request. A very positive experience.

Lincroft Meadow provided excellent care for my mother for the final period of her life. The staff always treated my mother with respect and good humour, even when she was being difficult. The home kept us informed of all developments regarding her health and well-being. I do not think the level of care and compassion that my mother received in her final weeks could have been any better.

I am so pleased my mother is now a resident at Lincroft Meadow. Since the first point of contact the care and support has been exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. In these difficult times of not being able to visit loved ones, the communication from the home has been a great comfort and I can rest easy knowing my mother is well cared for.

My mother entered Lincroft Meadow with severe sight and hearing loss and dementia. Her hearing loss and dementia increased rapidly, (not helped by restrictions caused by Covid-19). She screamed if she wanted things done. The staff treated her with dignity and respect throughout. I would thoroughly recommend them and thank them for their care.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to all the management and staff at Lincroft Meadow. My Mum wasn't there for very long (about 8 weeks). She suffered with Alzheimer's and after a spell in hospital she wasn't able to stay in her own home. It was during the Covid crisis and Lincroft Meadow were so helpful, they were able to accept her as a respite care resident at very short notice. A few weeks passed and it was clear Mum wouldn't be able to go home and live independently. Again we couldn't fault the care Mum received and the help they gave to us. She loved it there and many a time she told us what a lovely hotel she was staying in. They were so kind and caring and kept us up to date daily, as we were not to visit during the lockdown period. Sadly Mum passed peacefully away on 9th January aged 92. Unfortunately, we were not able to have Mum living with us however, it is a comfort to us that her last days were at Lincroft. Thank you once again.

Dad went into Lincroft Meadow in September this year on the dementia wing, due to a period of ill health he was transferred to the nursing dementia wing where he spent his final weeks. The rooms are large and spacious with bathroom/wet room attached and everything you need to feel at home. The care and compassion showed by the staff towards Dad and towards ourselves was outstanding. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times and as if he was part of their own family. Due to Covid restrictions, we were worried that we may not get to be with dad as much as we would have liked but Lincroft Meadow operated an excellent visiting system and as dad entered the end stages of his life we were welcomed to stay with him as much as we needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Lincroft Meadow, the care provided is exemplary, their communication is excellent and the staff are a complete credit to them.

My mother had to move in at short notice 5 months ago. Initially, she was very unsettled at the sudden change in her life. The staff at Lincroft Meadow were outstanding at the way they supported Mum to settle in. She is now very happy and tells me so every time I visit or speak on the phone! I love the way the staff have got to know Mum, and her sense of humour, and how much she has come to love them. I could not be happier!
