Lincroft Meadow Care Home is an exceptional home in the heart of Kidlington in Oxfordshire. The home provides residential, nursing, respite and dementia care for individuals with a range of differing health needs. Lincroft Meadow provided excellent care for my mother for the final period of her life. The staff always treated my mother with respect and good humour, even when she was being difficult. The home kept us informed of all developments regarding her health and well-being. I do not think the level of care
and compassion that my mother received in her final weeks could have been any better.

My mother entered Lincroft Meadow with severe sight and hearing loss and dementia. Her hearing loss and dementia increased rapidly, (not helped by restrictions caused by Covid-19). She screamed if she wanted things done. The staff treated her with dignity and respect throughout. I would thoroughly recommend
them and thank them for their care.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to all the management and staff at Lincroft Meadow. My Mum wasn't there for very long (about 8 weeks). She suffered with Alzheimer's and after a spell in hospital she wasn't able to stay in her own home. It was during the Covid crisis and Lincroft Meadow were
so helpful, they were able to accept her as a respite care resident at very short notice. A few weeks passed and it was clear Mum wouldn't be able to go home and live independently. Again we couldn't fault the care Mum received and the help they gave to us. She loved it there and many a time she told us what a lovely hotel she was staying in. They were so kind and caring and kept us up to date daily, as we were not to visit during the lockdown period. Sadly Mum passed peacefully away on 9th January aged 92. Unfortunately, we were not able to have Mum living with us however, it is a comfort to us that her last days were at Lincroft. Thank you once again.

Dad went into Lincroft Meadow in September this year on the dementia wing, due to a period of ill health he was transferred to the nursing dementia wing where he spent his final weeks. The rooms are large and spacious with bathroom/wet room attached and everything you need to feel at home. The care
and compassion showed by the staff towards Dad and towards ourselves was outstanding. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times and as if he was part of their own family. Due to Covid restrictions, we were worried that we may not get to be with dad as much as we would have liked but Lincroft Meadow operated an excellent visiting system and as dad entered the end stages of his life we were welcomed to stay with him as much as we needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Lincroft Meadow, the care provided is exemplary, their communication is excellent and the staff are a complete credit to them.

My mother had to move in at short notice 5 months ago. Initially, she was very unsettled at the sudden change in her life. The staff at Lincroft Meadow were outstanding at the way they supported Mum to settle in. She is now very happy and tells me so every time I visit or speak on the phone! I love
the way the staff have got to know Mum, and her sense of humour, and how much she has come to love them. I could not be happier!

Dad entered Lincroft Meadow Care Home two years ago, suffering from advanced Alzheimer's. He was troubled, confused and, at times, downright difficult - which was all a construct of that horrible disease.
The best compliment that I can express is that he came to see Lincroft as 'home' and often shared
with the family how very happy he was there. He was always treated with patience, care and love.
Our worlds have been tipped upside down in 2020, professionally, personally and as families. Some organisations have weathered this storm well; with others, when the tide has gone out, we have seen the rocks. We are incredibly grateful that Dad was cared for in such a wonderful environment as Lincroft. The professionalism, energy, and most of all, the absolute empathy that we witnessed at Lincroft has shone through at every turn. Dad was kept safe, and we, his family, were kept well informed of every change in circumstance, which was so reassuring.

My mother went to Lincroft Meadow for respite in July. The client services manager went above and beyond anything which we could have expected, in order to organise arrangements within the narrow time frame that we had before my mother was discharged from hospital. She has been a constant source of
reassurance and support not only my mother but also for the family. My first impressions of a well-managed, and committed team who put people first, and for whom nothing is too much trouble, continue to be displayed on a daily basis. My mother chose to stay on at Lincroft Meadow and constantly tells me how happy she is that she made that decision. She is supported with kindness and compassion by every member of the team, whatever their role. They all have made huge efforts to get to know her, and they provide unwavering support. They have enabled her to live as independently as possible and have helped to rebuild her confidence. It really is an outstanding place.

Dad moved into Lincroft Meadow during lockdown which was not easy for us as a family. Trying to find a suitable home for him when unable to visit was a challenge but this was made so much easier by the client services manager and her team. I was shown as much of the home as was possible in the circumstances
and the manager fully explained to me everything I needed to know. The care and professionalism that came across made it an easy decision for us to make.
Dad has settled well into his new home and the whole family are impressed with the care he is receiving. The staff do all they can to look after him and to keep us informed during these unusual times. They are also always extremely friendly to us when we come to visit which has made this much easier for our Mum. We are very grateful for the care they are showing to Dad when we cannot be with him.

Lincroft Meadow Care Home has been a wonderful residence for our parents. We were so fortunate to have found such a caring, happy, and safe place for them. After our mother's stroke, Mum and Dad needed different levels of care but Lincroft Meadow was very flexible and created the perfect solution.
They were able to move in together and have adjoining rooms, one of which served as a bedroom and one as a lounge. Our mother received excellent full-time care while Dad was able to join in with activities and receive the level of care that he needed as well. The decor and surroundings of the home are beautiful; it is more like a five-star hotel than a typical care home. The bistro and garden provided joyful hours. The activities were many and varied. But the most impressive aspect to Lincroft Meadow Care Home is the staff. Our parents received very professional, attentive, and medically excellent care, provided in a very caring and positive manner. We are truly grateful to everyone there!

Lincroft Meadow opened at exactly the right time to be able to provide care for both parents; my mother who needed dementia care and my father who needed a rest from caring for her and keeping a house going.
Staff are wonderful - patient, kind, tolerant and respectful. They cared for my mother in
her last days, and provided a safe, encouraging and activity-packed environment for my father, allowing him to indulge in his love of gardening, poetry and watching films.
Many of the staff have been there from the start, were deeply saddened on his death from Covid-19 and have provided me with support. They always had time for him, he loved having independence while having everything provided, and he made many new friends there.
I just hope they are still there when I need care.

I would recommend Lincroft Meadow wholeheartedly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It is well run and employs enough staff for them to be able to spend time with and care properly for the residents. The decor and surroundings are very attractive, the food is good and there is an excellent range
of activities on offer. My father lived there for the last few weeks of his life and was treated with kindness and compassion. His needs were met sensitively and I had peace of mind, knowing he was being looked after by staff who cared.

We have been really pleased with the care my mother-in-law has received since she moved into Lincroft earlier in the Spring. She has enjoyed a range of activities and been made to feel very welcome in her new home. During the current difficult time we are happy in the knowledge that she is content and
being well-cared for. The staff have been helpful, particularly when we had difficulties communicating through Skype - their help with the computer has enabled the family to maintain visual contact. Thank you.

The staff at Lincroft have been wonderful to Mum since she became a resident about 17months ago and are still being wonderful under the very difficult circumstances with the threat of Covid-19.
Although we are not allowed to visit at this time, when we phone or video call they are very understanding
and nothing is too much trouble, despite being extra busy I’m sure.
It is a real community and the staff genuinely care for the residents and offer and encourage a wealth of activities and stimulation to all residents.

I am so glad that my mum is a resident at Lincroft, especially now during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff are so kind and caring and have made a huge effort to make sure that we can at least talk to Mum as often as possible.
Mum has been a resident for about 18 months now and the staff have supported
both us, her family and her, through some very difficult times regarding her health.
They make so much effort to include everyone in the lovely range of activities that they offer, the food is amazing and the home is so clean and welcoming.
Can't praise them enough.

Hello, my name is Elaine Ratcliffe, and I am the Home Manager here at Lincroft Meadow.


I joined the Lincroft Meadow team when our home was still a building site, so I have truly been here since the beginning! It was wonderful to see our home develop, but the most special moment for us was when we opened our doors and welcomed our very first residents.


I have worked in the care sector for 17 years, starting as a care assistant and working my way up to management roles. I am passionate about caring for our senior community, and I'm proud that my team share the same values.


My door is always open, so do pop in and see us whenever you'd like!

Having worked in the care industry in a variety of roles for over sixteen years, I joined the team at Lincroft Meadow four years ago and can honestly say it is the nicest home I have ever worked in. There is a genuine team spirit here at Lincroft Meadow that makes it a pleasure to come to work every day.


My role as client services manager involves supporting people through the process of choosing a care home, and I find it incredibly rewarding to be able to provide guidance, reassurance and compassion at what is often a difficult time for individuals and their loved ones. I love the opportunity to be able to help every step of the way, from touring our home and moving to take advantage of everything we have to offer our residents.

Before joining the team at Lincroft Meadow I was a pastry chef for one of the Oxford Universities. After a while, I started my own cake business, which I ran from my home for two years.


My grandma lived in a care home, and I always admired the activities department and everything they organised to enrich the lives of their residents. Because of this, I decided when I saw this role advertised that it was time for me to give back to the community, so I applied!
