Review from C M (Power of Attorney of Resident) published on 4 January 2022 Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The resident for whom I had powers of attorney spent the last four months of her life at Lincroft Meadow, so this assessment relates only to that short time and to the limited use which she was able to make of facilities at the care home.
Both I and other members of her support group were impressed
by the attractive, spacious, well-planned layout and rooms at Lincroft Meadow, the calm and welcoming atmosphere, the helpful attitude of the management, and the high standard of committed, professional nursing care which our friend received.
The charges at this care home are relatively high, but we thought that they were justified by the service and that our friend got value for money.

Really lovely home, with kind and caring staff, residents are treated with respect and kindness. Nothing is too much trouble for residents, they have a fantastic Christmas program planned with a great activity team. There is a whole home approach to all care within the home. The home is very special
and will always hold a special place in my heart. Would throughly recommend.

Since my mother moved into Lincroft in May, initially for respite care, she has been looked after with care and attention. The initial period was hard for her as she had to reconcile her move from independent living but the care, patience and attention shown by the team was exemplary. She is now settled
and thriving - and has developed a liking for the in-house gym!

Lincroft Meadow has provided my dad with a happy and settled home. As a family, we are so reassured he is in a safe, secure and happy environment. Lincroft Meadow is a very special place and we have witnessed many amazing acts of kindness to my dad and other residents by caring professional staff. Throughout
the pandemic the manager has kept the family informed of the steps they are undertaking to provide a Covid safe environment while still accommodating communication between residents and their family and providing visits in a safe environment. The team at Lincroft provide a full timetable of activities that dad enjoys. Residents well-being really seems to be the focus at Lincroft. The manager keeps us well informed on what is happening at Lincroft and recently we were invited to attend a meeting to discuss what would be happening at Lincroft in the next few months. Lincroft is a very special place. Thank you.

Lincroft have been excellent in all areas through my mum's transistor into residential care. The weekly activities and leisure programme is amazing, offering a diverse range of activities to stimulate the residents.
The gardens and displays are so colourful and fun.

Due to her frailty on admission, my mother was only at Lincroft for a relatively short period of time but from my first contact to arrange her admission and throughout her stay, I was so impressed with both the efficiency yet total helpfulness of the administration and the obvious attention and concern
that the carer staff displayed in their dealings with both my mother and myself. I would recommend Lincroft Meadow to anyone.

My father has been a resident at Lincroft Meadow for just over a year. I can not praise all of the staff enough, their support and care is the very best. They have taken the time to get to know my father and our family, we are always greeted by our first names usually followed by a memory which my father
has told them about us - a very personal touch. The activities provided are stimulating and the gardens have greatly helped my father adjust to his new surroundings.

Everyone at the home has been so kind and helpful to us since both my mother and sister became residents there last year. Recently they helped the family celebrate my mother's 100th Birthday and worked hard to make it a memorable day for all of us. They have all helped to make a difficult time so much
easier for us.

For the few times I had visited my brother in the care home, as he was admitted during covid 19, I found things to run smoothly as regards to the procedure for visiting. He has settled into the care home well and certainly enjoys the food as often talks about how much there is to eat. Although this
was the first care home we visited as it was convenient, I would suggest that others are also visited as we could have saved a lot of money compared to new ones that are opening in the district. Reception staff are very welcoming and the carers are very polite and nothing seems too much trouble as regards to the welfare of the resident, as I am not able to visit at the moment I sometimes phone for a general update on my brother's wellbeing and they are happy to update me and they help him out when I phone to speak to him.
I wasn't able to have a full tour of the care home, due to covid, but from what I saw, I was more than happy.

We are so fortunate to have Lincroft Meadow on our doorstep. My mother is still in the heart of her community. Every effort is made to do activities she enjoys and mean something to her. Marmalade making, choirs, dance, friendship and individual care and affection from all the staff. Such peace of mind
for her family, who are made welcome and part of the Lincroft community.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.937)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.937) out of 10 for Lincroft Meadow Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 36 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.937 for Lincroft Meadow Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (403 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 428 Ratings = 4.937
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lincroft Meadow Care Home is based on 36 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14, which has been reached with 36 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
