Lovely friendly staff.
Great food.
Very clean and tidy.
Like other families, this has been a very difficult and upsetting time. She was admitted to Lakeview Lodge for a months assessment/respite.
She is so well, nourished and cared for, that the placement is now permanent.
We feel so happy with the care, attention and efficiency from the staff that a difficult decision has been made easier.
As a member of the medical profession, I have had cause to visit many care homes. I have never been in one that is as good as this. Every aspect of my Mother's care has been of the highest standard - both for her physical and mental welfare. The standard of the rooms is exemplary. Walking into this 'home,' you feel 'at home'.
Very Good.
The staff are all excellent, providing a high standard of care and support to residents and their family. Residents are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities, providing them with a good balance of exercise and entertainment.
The home is located in a new development area, with a pleasant view across a lake. Trains pass on the nearby West Coast Mainline, which provides some residents with another source of amusement.
Communication by management and care staff with me is excellent, ensuring I am made aware of any opportunities for my family to be involved in, as well as health and well-being matters.
Before deciding on a care home for my mother, we visited 3 local homes. We are pleased that we visited Lakeview last as this far outshone everything that we had seen, to us it gives the appearance of a hotel, all staff caring and friendly. My mother has settled in very quickly and is very happy we made the right choice.
Well done to everyone.
From the moment we contacted Lakeview Lodge (looking for a suitable care home for my mother), we received a very warm, friendly and professional service. My mother was understandably apprehensive about leaving her family home and moving into a residential home, but the support she received from the management and staff was excellent. She has now been at Lakeview for 3 months and has settled in extremely well. All the staff are incredibly caring and supportive and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a very modern relaxed environment with regular activities and entertainment which she is encouraged to participate in. The family are always warmly welcomed and there is always time for a chat with the staff. This now feels like a real home not only for mum but also the family and other visitors. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this fantastic home to others who are looking for a caring environment.
Mum says she is happy we have found her a nice place in which to live. She is particular, liking cleanliness and order. Mum may have lost her memory, but she hasn’t lost her sensibilities.
It’s expensive, no doubt. To see mum relaxed and eating well, it must be worth the nightmare of seeing her capital deplete. I think it is what dad would have wanted.
She has made friends; she feels happy and safe. She feels ownership of her spacious room and bathroom. The staff are her friends and she is proud of where she lives. When we visit, we feel comfortable and relaxed about making tea for ourselves.
There are no negatives. (Apart from affording the fees). Recently, hairdressing and chiropody have been included without charge. Every little helps.
Nursing care is not an option at the moment but we hope this will become a future option so that mum does not have to move on should her health deteriorate. Mum is 91 years young and at chair exercise, she kicks high with jubilation.
They have plenty of activities for the residents and most join in. I have no complaints at all and look forward to another 4 week stay in a few weeks after further surgery.
My mother came here after a prolonged stay in hospital. Up until then, she had been very independent. I never dreamed I would have to place mum in a care home but from our very first visit to look around everyone is so friendly. As soon as mum was shown to her beautiful room she hasn't stopped smiling. All the staff and carers have introduced themselves to us. I know she will be very happy here.
Easy access by car from the motorway.
Activities for the residents are good even I enjoy them.
Lakeview Lodge Care Home is a really good residential home. All the carers there are very professional and caring. But, if your loved one suffers from dementia and has some behaviour issues, or will develop in the future behavioural challenges as the illness progresses, then this residential home is probably not for you. Their core competence is residential and it's more like a very good OAP home than a care home.
The staff are so caring and kind to me.
My quality of life is much better since moving to Lakeview.
I never wanted for anything - everything was perfect!
Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The food is cooked to perfection. Friendly people and staff. Clean, tidy, warm. Feels like a hotel with own room with tea facilities.
Everyone is so kind and helpful. They made me feel very welcome.
I cannot rate Lakeview Lodge Care Home and its staff highly enough.
Cannot fault this hotel with care. Food wonderful, can't fault a thing. The caring is top class. Enjoyed the activities. Management very caring. I have made a first-class decision.
Food lovely.
