Mum-in-law has been a resident since January and the home, facilities and staff are absolutely excellent. The staff could not be more helpful nor more kind and caring. The food is all freshly prepared and cooked and is very good. I cannot recommend Timken Grange enough, it is wonderful.

Mum moved into Timken Grange in March 2018 following an extended stay in hospital. The Grange very quickly became her new home and we always felt very welcome to visit. Sadly, mum had several short stays in hospital due to age-related failing health, but we managed to get her back "home" for end of life care. This was a very difficult time for all concerned, especially the last few weeks, from leaving hospital to her passing away, but the care given to mum and the family when we were there for extended visits was exceptional, going above and beyond what we would have expected. I would not hesitate to recommend them and wish them all well for the future.

An extremely well-featured care home, providing independence if needed to the residents and full care where needed. Both of my parents are here, they have apartments next to each other. Everything is provided; hair care, manicure, chiropody etc. The cost of these is included in the fee. Food is freshly-prepared by permanent chefs. I feel that they are both very happy there. The staff are extremely attentive and even someone as attention-demanding as my dear old dad does not faze them! The cost here could be considered as being fairly high, but there are certain aspects of care which both of my parents have enjoyed which could not have a price on them. Highly recommended, many thanks to all of the staff members.

My Dad is a resident there now and I feel it appropriate at this time to give my review because time has allowed me to give an honest appraisal.
I simply can’t fault the care he is given. All staff are approachable and caring. The home’s ethos exhibits as a place where all are made welcome and to feel that they are. I don’t know what other homes are like but I do know what Timken Grange is like.
The daily care is exceptional. The activities that are offered are both entertaining and aimed at the overall well-being of residents. Family members are always welcome to join in.
To summarise, I have to say that my Dad could not be in a better care home.

Against our expectations, he settled into Timken Grange really quickly. He joins in some of the activities, is more mobile, looks better and seems to accept he is in the best place now. The staff look after him really well, putting up with his occasional grumpiness. He is much happier than he was living on his own. Well done all at Timken Grange.

I started my care journey when I was in the Girl Guides working towards my care badge, every weekend I would go to the local hospital and sit with the elderly patients and assist them with eating, drinking and read to them, after I earned my badge I continued to go every weekend until I was old enough to get a job in the care sector.
I started as a carer and have worked my way up. Since arriving at Timken Grange nearly seven years ago to take up a role as a senior carer I have progressed to medication manager, deputy manager, care manager and now home manager.
I am passionate about the care we provide, and our bespoke approach to each individual care needs which is provided by our fully trained care team. Whilst already having various qualifications within the sector, I am currently studying for a BSc Honours in Health and Social Care. Mark loves to watch Formula One in his spare time. Mark has been around in Timken Grange since his father was cared for here, when his father passed away Mark decided to apply for the role of Handy Person, as he enjoyed being in the home.
