Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Within three days of Dad coming to Timken Grange, we could see an incredible difference in his wellbeing. He was relaxed, contented and had started to interact again with people around him and his surroundings. His appetite returned. All of this we put down to the amazing care and support of the staff
helping him to engage and take part. Thank you.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.831) out of 10 for Timken Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.831 for Timken Grange is calculated as follows: ( (219 Excellents x 5) + (38 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 260 Ratings = 4.831
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Timken Grange is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Louise

Louise Mulvany

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2019

My name is Louise, I have four grown-up children and four grandsons, I have worked in the health and social care sector for 40 years,

I started my care journey when I was in the Girl Guides working towards my care badge, every weekend I would go to the local hospital and sit with the elderly patients and assist them with eating, drinking and read to them, after I earned my badge I continued to go every weekend until I was old enough to get a job in the care sector.

I started as a carer and have worked my way up. Since arriving at Timken Grange nearly seven years ago to take up a role as a senior carer I have progressed to medication manager, deputy manager, care manager and now home manager.

I am passionate about the care we provide, and our bespoke approach to each individual care needs which is provided by our fully trained care team. Whilst already having various qualifications within the sector, I am currently studying for a BSc Honours in Health and Social Care. I am excited to be utilising my skills and being able to further my career.

Being able to support my team, creating a great place to work and helping them embark on their own careers in care is important to me. I am driven by my passion for the elderly and providing exceptional care wherever I go. I am truly dedicated to the improvement and advancement of care techniques and delivering these in an environment that puts our residents at ease, thus allowing them to have their freedom and enabling them to live an enriched life.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2018

I am the deputy manager here at Timken Grange. I began my journey here as a carer back in 2018 and have worked my way up the ranks, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in the process.

I have a passion for care and do my utmost to ensure that all of our residents receive person-centred care to the highest standard. I am immensely proud to be part of the team here at Timken Grange.

I'd like to tell you what I do in my spare time, however, I have a very busy life as a mother of four children, so spare time is very rare. I love spending time with my family and doing the things that my children enjoy.

Caroline

Caroline Rielly

Job Title: Administrator Joined: 2022

I have worked as a Business Support Manager at Timken Grange since May 2022 and previously worked as the administrator for another Care Home in Wellingborough for 6 years, so have been in the industry for 7 years.

I worked for many years before this in the property business, and when I moved from London to Northamptonshire working in the care industry was a real eye-opener but saw it as a whole new challenge.

The way I see it is we will all hopefully get to old age at some point, and will then all need help and assistance, and I think it is lovely to see the residents continue to enjoy and have a good quality of life.

I am currently very happy in my position as Business Support Manager, but if ever there was a position that came up to be a Region Business Support Manager, I would be interested.
