Mercia Grange (Opening May 2018)

538 Lichfield Road, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield B74 4EH

This brand new West Midlands care home delivers quality, personalised care, ranging from respite and residential care, to nursing, palliative and specialist dementia care.

Residents enjoy a superb lifestyle: the home has its own café, hair salon and cinema. A lifestyle team plans and delivers group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents’ interests and hobbies, and there are regular outings and events. A strong community atmosphere is reinforced by visits from local groups, entertainers, family members and schoolchildren. Residents can visit clubs or churches in the local area and help with everyday tasks around the home.

The home’s layout and décor help to create a sense of calm and security for residents who are living with dementia. Each bedroom has its own en-suite wet room, flatscreen TV and 24-hour nurse call system, and residents can personalise their rooms however they wish.

Description:

Commissioning a brand new home has always been an ambition of mine, and at Mercia Grange, I’ve been able to fulfil that goal. I’ve wanted to work for Care UK for a while – I’d heard very positive things about the organisation, and its values are my own: providing quality care, creating beautiful homes for residents to live in, and ensuring colleagues’ hard work and commitment is recognised and rewarded.
While the home is new and the home team is just starting out together, I’m already enjoying developing a team that’s full of caring, skilled and passionate people who are determined to make residents’ lives as fulfilling as possible. We’re all committed to making a difference to each resident’s quality of life – whether that’s in a large or a small way, it all matters.
