Hi, my name is Amy and I am General Manager here at The Spires.

I have worked in the care sector since I was 18, initially with young adults with learning disabilities, before specialising in elderly care.

I am passionate about improving the lives of our residents and making sure they live life to the fullest.

We are very lucky at The Spires to have a fantastic team of people who are dedicated to our residents. We value training and developing our staff to help our residents have a full and exciting life.

Hello, I'm Lisa, the Deputy Manager at The Spires. I bring over 35 years care experience as well as bags of mischief!

I joined Barchester in May 23 as a Peripatetic Senior Carer supporting multiple homes across the Midlands region, and then in September 23 was thrilled to be appointed as Deputy Manager at The Spires.

I have worked in care since the age of 17, fulfilling my passion for caring for others, understanding their needs and providing first class care. I am L5 qualified in Healthcare Leadership & Management and I love nothing more than a good challenge.

I am definitely a people person and you'll see me bobbing around the home with a smile on my face.

Outside of work I am married with grown up children and house a naughty dog!

I started working at The Spires in 2022 and I absolutely love spending time with our residents putting our menus together, it is such a privilege to speak with our residents about their favourites and then recreate them! Individual nutrition and dietary needs are very important to me and my team, we take great pride in knowing the food we serve helps to improve residents' well-being here at the home. I also love catering for parties and special occasions.

Hello I’m Andy, Head of Maintenance here at The Spires. I have worked in the heating & engineering trade for many years visiting care homes. I love chatting to our residents as I go about my day and spending time with them is one of the privileges of my role.

I enjoy working at The Spires, the residents feel like part of my family, I take great pride in making sure their home and rooms are spotlessly clean. Taking a pride in their home is important for the residents and all my team feel passionate about this too. The lovely part of the role is that we get to know each resident and the ways we can make them happy by the little touches that can lighten their day including having a chat as we work.

Hi, my name is Angie and I am an activities coordinator here at The Spires. We all know that keeping active is important. We have created a wonderful culture within the home and we work together to give residents the best possible experience. We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active.

We ensure the team knows each residents' preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationships of trust we build with residents and their families and friends

Hello, I'm Suzanne one of the Hairdressers at The Spires.

I have over 25 years hairdressing experience and I visit the home once a week to work my magic. Whether it's a perm, a colour or a simple trim, Residents can join me for a pamper and a friendly chat in the salon.

I am so lucky to do what I do, it is a real pleasure to work at the home and to build relationships with the Residents - we have fantastic conversations during their time in the salon and its nice to see them leave with a smile.
