The family could not be more grateful for the help all the staff gave to them and Father.
I would heartily recommend the home to anyone wanting the best for their loved ones.

Over his 2 weeks he was treated kindly and respectfully in a lovely clean welcoming environment by attentive and understanding team. He ate better than he has for a while and by the end of his stay was fully mobile and raring to go again. He has been home for a week now and has felt well enough to walk to the pub daily again. Thank you so much to the whole team for making the experience so positive for my dad and myself. I suspect we will need you again in the future and I will not be worried about the process or his care. Thank you once again

My mother went to the Spires Lichfield early in 2026, initially for respite care. She settled in very quickly and we realised that she was happy there, so much so that we made the decision to make her a permanent resident. She has not looked back and neither have my sister and I. Mum is well cared for by all the staff who have been accommodating and compassionate from the moment she walked in the doors. The food is excellent and portions suit her needs. The atmosphere is always calm and peaceful and it is a joy to visit Mum and see her looking so well. We are very grateful to have found such an ideal place for my Mum to spend her days and are thankful for all who work tirelessly to make the residents so comfortable and cared for.

Very dissappointed in 'service' provided. On each visit guest sitting at exit in reception awaiting me and distressed. Each phone call told he was sitting in reception 'helping'. Very little to occupy male guests. Visited to local hostelry arranged for Fathers day - requested joining this on day admitted, further 4 requests including deputy manager (who did assessment) no-one contacted me to arrange or deny! On day I visited to pack, guest left behind staff member suggested 'he might run off'. Who decided that? Shouldn't I be contacted. All garden furniture very dirty asked it be cleaned 6 days later still dirty - soil, bird droppings, cobwebs. Home locked Sunday unable to access until staff member arrived. No feedback from home on respite by phone or post. Very poor total lack of service!

Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We're sorry to read your loved one didn't enjoy their respite experience at The Spires. After speaking with the home, the General Manager has advised they were not aware of any concerns with your relative sitting in the reception area being raised during their stay with us. We've asked that the furniture conditions be looked into if you feel these weren't addressed, and communication improved after a resident has left our service as well. If there's anything else you would like to raise with our team directly, please do get in touch with us at feedback@barchester.com Kind regards, Barchester's Customer Feedback Team.

Hello, my name is Eva, and I am the General Manager here at The Spires Care Home.
I joined Barchester in June 2025 but bring over 20 years of experience working in the healthcare sector. I started my career as a Registered General Nurse in 2000, when I moved to England from my home country of Spain, and have run many homes as a Registered General Manager, leading successful teams and creating thriving communities for residents, staff, families and the wider public.
I believe that outstanding care starts with amazing people, and I am passionate about creating a supportive and vibrant community where both staff and residents feel safe, valued and can flourish. I am also an advocate for mental health awareness, well-being, and encouraging positive psychology. I want our residents to feel that life just begins when they join our care home, where we offer quality care, nutritious food, and enriching activities in beautiful, homely environments.
Outside of work, I focus on staying active, whether this is walking, hiking, dancing or going to the gym. Spending time with family and friends fills my time off work.
