I have never been a big fan of care homes. I thought they were just here to make money. And prolong the lives of their residents for that reason alone. I was totally against, my Mum going into a care home. And l know my Mum was also totally against going into a care home. But from the very first moment of entering this delightful care home, l never stopped being impressed. The professional carers were always available to help and assist both residents and visitors. And l felt something that l would have never associated with a care home. I felt a sense of joy! I could see, straight away, that both the working staff and residents were very happy to be there. And l always felt very welcome, almost home, from home. I think the biggest compliment that l can give everybody involved in my Mum's Care is to say thank you for granting my Mum's dying wish to die in her bed, in her bedroom, surrounded by loved ones, who really cared and looked after her, to the end.

Having looked at many other care homes, The Old Chapel was the one that fitted my mother's needs the best.

All aspects of the care they provide are of the very highest standard, and the compact size of the home facilitates a very high level of one-to-one contact. In summary, this home is first class.

A very difficult decision had to be made to place my husband in a care home. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating that after a short time, we realised that we couldn't have made a better choice. We found The Old Chapel to be cosy, and spotlessly clean with good home-cooked food and my husband soon accepted it as his home. It is situated in scenic surroundings with outside seating areas to be enjoyed by residents and their visitors. We are so grateful to the staff for their friendliness, care, and patience. They are angels...

Over a year on since mum came here we continue to be extremely happy with the level of care and wonderful family ethos at The Old Chapel Care Home.
While it might not have the range of facilities or activities of the bigger homes, it more than makes up for this by providing a safe home from home experience for my mother. It has the feel of a lovely supportive family environment, staff are super friendly and attentive, and concerns are quickly addressed, the surroundings are peaceful and beautiful.

Our family couldn't recommend this care home highly enough

We are so happy with the care which "The Old Chaple Care Home" continues to give our mother. The general ethos, good staff, patient ratio and high level of care and friendliness of the staff are evident on all our visits. The food is homemade, and the home is spotless, cosy and well maintained. Queries are followed up straight away, and communication between staff is very good. Thank you management for running a wonderful home with such kind and dedicated staff.

From the moment I walked into The Old Chapel, I knew it was a very special place. It has such a wonderful feel to it. The size of this home is perfect, extremely well laid out and very homely. All the staff are friendly, very kind and caring. They are always on hand for both residents and visitors. I feel very blessed to have found this home for my mum where I know she’s cared for in the best possible way.

A very peaceful environment which helps towards rest and recuperation. Quite spiritual.
Management and staff are all hardworking, nothing is too much trouble for them and everyone is treated with dignity, respect and concern for everyone's individual needs.

Always with a smile and good listeners to share any problems with.

The care and attention my mother received during her time at the home was second to none. The staff were extremely friendly and caring looking after my mother's every need. The home itself is spotlessly clean, in a beautiful location and the food was lovely (according to my mother). All in all, the home and staff provided us with great peace of mind at a difficult time and we, as a family, couldn't thank them enough for everything.

How lucky we have been to drop on this hidden gem.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Management is on the ball with everything and being a qualified nurse with long standing geriatric experience this brings peace of mind.

Staff follow her exemplary example with so much care and compassion, always having time for residents and visitors and nothing is too much trouble. It is a pleasure to be involved with this team.

Facilities are new, clean and bright with lovely views. All rooms are en-suite. Meals are freshly made and open to requests with home baking always available. All I would say is it will not stay hidden for long!

The Old Chapel Care home provides a high standard of care to all.

All the staff are welcoming, friendly and cheerful with both residents and visitors. They always have time to discuss anything.

The atmosphere is relaxed, with laughter often heard as you walk in.

The building is light and airy with comfortable rooms all with well equipped en-suite facilities, there are areas to be quiet and areas to be more social.

Meals are great, with lots of home baking and traditional menus to suit everyone.
