Bridge House Care Home

At the very beginning, we asked for things like a hearing test for new hearing aids, a suitable chair, and a bed to help with her back pain and move of room, but after 9 weeks nothing.

Very poor service. My dad was not looked after properly. We would often go visit him to see him covered in bruises which staff and management could not explain. He didn’t even have a proper mattress which we only noticed when looking for his glasses in his bed. His bed was made but when we pulled the duvet over it was soaking wet and all he had was 3 pieces of foam as a mattress, then one time they sent my dad to hospital, agitated due to dementia, no staff with him and I was told not to worry if he starts wandering in the A&E reception, staff will have to look after him. I was in tears with this and raced to the hospital where we sat for 4 hours for the doctor to then say we will have to admit your dad even though he was fine, as the care home told the doctor my dad wasn’t welcome back to Bridge House. The list goes on, I have lots of photos, messages and video proof of lots more neglect. We did get my dad moved from here to a wonderful care home whom, as with the hospital, was shocked at the condition of Dad.

Super happy with the new daycare. Bridge House Care Home recently re-opened its doors. My dad attended before covid twice a week and was there the first day open, now happily back to his two days a week. The daycare part of the care home is separate and is a very roomy area including good cooking facilities. Everywhere is safe and extremely well equipped with interesting things for all the various skill levels. All the staff really care and interact well with attendees the staff also work very well together as a team, certainly always putting the daycare attenders needs first. The care team seem to have a very good, varied, well thought out, interesting program of things for the attenders to do. I would recommend Daycare at Bridge House to anyone, It delivers a very high standard of care, the staff are amazingly caring and it is extremely good value for money including breakfast dinner and tea. A massive thank you to all the staff working there.

Bridge House Care Home has amazing staff, kind and caring, treat patients like family. It's more like a five-star hotel than a care home. My mum as settled really well and loves staying. Keep up the amazing work.

I have never seen a more caring, thoughtful, creative and down right fantastic care home! The staff are great and the place is very very well looked after! But the best and most important thing is how happy and entertained the residents always look! From garden projects, to singers, dancers, games, films, they have thought of everything! Even a daily telegram with info on from an event in the past. I honestly think this place is amazing! And I love their social media page with a chance to see my Grandma! I love knowing what she’s up to a on almost daily basis! Highly recommend!

My Dad has been a resident at Bridge House for 18 months and he has been extremely well cared for since his arrival. The home itself is immaculate - very modern facilities and furnishings - feels more like a hotel than a care home. The staff are always pleasant and keen to help my Dad with anything he needs. They always have a smile on their face and deal with everything in an efficient manner. The activities are organised well with something taking place every day. I would definitely recommend Bridge House to anyone looking for a clean, safe environment for their loved ones.

All the staff were professional and helpful. The home is clean and well looked after and my mother was happy there. Very impressed.

Mum was in the care of Bridge House for just over 4 months. It was apparent after a few days of her being there we knew she was going to be given the care and attention she deserved. The staff were brilliant and Mum was treated with kindness and respect. She enjoyed her meals sat with the other residents in the lovely dining room and she enjoyed socialising and made new friends. She also loved the view from her room window and enjoyed looking out. In her final weeks, she was cared for extremely well, with the dignity she deserved. We cannot thank the staff at Bridge House enough for the help and support they gave us through a very difficult time.

The only criticism would be the door entry system was out of service so, at times, a longer wait when the office staff had left for the door, the staff, however, dealt with our issues promptly.

As a family, we were very happy with Bridge House. Mum spent just over 4 months there and the care she received was very good. In her first few months, she gained confidence and became good friends with other residents. She spent her final weeks being extremely well cared for and we valued having people around us that knew us well and could support us.

I visited my friend regularly whilst in Bridge House Care Home and I was instantly greeted by the most caring, helpful and kind staff that do an amazing job, day in day out, treating my friend with such dignity. Nothing was too much for them and I found it so lovely that the staff had taken the time to get to know my friend and her hobbies and interests and how she told me that they took her up to the rooftop garden every day so she could listen to the birds, she always did love them. Such a beautiful home with beautiful staff. I couldn't recommend Bridge House anymore, they really did a fantastic job! Thank you.

Unfortunately, Dad passed away in June, again the staff were so caring - they dealt with everything professionally and compassionately during those last few difficult days.

First rate respite care provided for my mum from a dedicated and professional team of nurses and carers. Super clean, nicely appointed rooms, lovely outdoor terraces and roof garden. Amazing, uber friendly staff who were pivotal in Mum's speedy and happy recovery, very highly recommended.

Mother enjoyed her stay so much I have booked her in for two further visits 4 weeks apart and Mother is considering moving in permanently in the future when the time feels right.

I felt the need to share this on this website as I would like to say thank you to her and the care team, for making a very difficult decision such a positive experience. I cannot express how happy we both are with the service received.

My mother moved into Bridge House last November and the care and attention she has received since moving in have been excellent. She loves her room and the views from the home which are superb. The home is exceptionally clean and very warm and the food is good. Above all, it is the attitude of the staff which moves me to write this review. They are always tremendously positive, always smiling, extremely friendly and really nothing is too much trouble. My mother has settled really well and is very happy at Bridge House.

My husband has been in Bridge House Care Home since July and I find the staff helpful in every way. The home is clean and tidy in all rooms. I would not hesitate to recommend the home in all respects.
