We would like to thank you for this review. We are continually striving to improve our services and experiences that the residents and their families have. Following the feedback regarding catheter care - staff have recently undertaken refresher catheter training on 2nd November 2022.
Thank you so much for your review, if you would like to get in touch with specifics about our food and drink we would love to hear from you. We pride ourselves on the diverse menu which is scientifically calculated to support healthy diets whilst remaining wholesome and appetising, I am sorry if this in any way disappointed during your stay, and we hope to have the opportunity to make it better for you next time. Likewise any specifics re cleanliness are welcome as we have a 5 star food hygiene rating and our dedicated housekeeping team are regularly complimented on their performance.
Dear Shaun, thank you for your review. I am sorry we haven't been able to completely satisfy you at this time but I welcome your constructive comments. We agree about the sad but needed use of agency staff, despite paying some of, if not the best pay rates in the area, recruiting is a massive challenge but rather than work short staffed, we always make the effort to cover all needed shifts. Recently our food supplier has had a massive cyber attack which means we have had to be very agile in where we order our food from and this has caused some menu changes which have not been as hoped, we also experimented with moving the heavier meal to lunchtime due to the hot weather and a few other factors so we are reviewing this now. In terms of mum being bored, our activities team I am sure will be in touch to ensure we correct this.
I hope in the future we can address these concerns and you might increase our rating by another review, thanks again.
We would like to thank Debbie for her review of her father's experience in August 2021, we apologise wholeheartedly.
This experience coincided with a CQC inspection which was massively disappointing for the organisation and caring staff team who worked and continue to work here. As a provider, we brought in 3 consultants within days of the inspection and removed the responsible management without hesitation.
Since then the Management team and the caring staff have installed systems and process that means such problems should not repeat in the future, this is reflected in our CQC inspection of the 19th January 2022 where we were rated as a GOOD home by them, and we are building a high-quality staff team now and for the future so Bridge House will never be known for such practices in the future.
Should you wish to contact us so you can see the improvements for yourselves I would happily facilitate this in person, finally we are so pleased the new placement worked out for her father.
Thank you so much Cyntrah, it is our absolute pleasure to care for your mum.
It is lovely to receive this feedback; we thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

I am a very proud Home Manager here at Bridge House and I love this home so much that I came back after a spell working for another provider. The team here are exceptional and the senior leadership are supportive, kind and invested in delivering superb care for our residents.
I'm the second generation of Fisher Care, my father having started the business in 1986. He instilled into me the importance of putting residents best interests at the heart of all of our decisions and I am very proud to carry his legacy forward - sharing his ethos of "excellence in care" with the team here at Bridge House.
We've created a welcoming environment and invite you to come and experience it for yourself.
