Beechwood Grove has a Review Score of 9.9 (9.924) out of 10, based on 27 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Beechwood Grove has 100 reviews.
I recently had a short stay after a fall and found the care and kindness exceptionally high. I was most impressed with all the staff, organisation and arrangements. I cannot rate this home more highly.
Thank you for your kind words, Sylvia, I will pass them on to the team. We all hope you are now fully recovered and back on your feet.
The care staff, receptionists and management are always helpful and friendly. Any minor issues are dealt with promptly. Always plenty of entertainment and things to do, and kept informed with the weekly program of events.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. Your feedback is really appreciated and I will pass this on to the team so that we can work on the areas where we haven't quite scored a 5 star.
My father was taken into nursing care at Beechwood Grove with multiple illnesses which were complex and serious. After just two weeks there was a stark improvement which can only be down to the persistent and excellent care given by the staff. He has now moved to another room and another level where he continues to receive care and support for his illnesses, mobility and dementia. Although his serious medical problems persist I am confident that the staff at the home do their very best to help him and the family in both coping and enjoying a quality of life which was seemingly beyond him before. I have nothing but praise for the staff from the reception through to the nursing care, event planning, cleaning, catering and caring. Altogether a professional and dedicated team. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review. We are so pleased that we are able to support your dad and the rest of the family.
The facilities, food and activities were great.
She was really well looked after during her respite stay.
She would definitely stay again.
I'm so pleased mum enjoyed her stay and look forward to seeing you both again soon.
I was in Beechwood Grove for respite care. It was a difficult time for the staff as there were Covid problems. My core staff who looked after me were first class, kind and caring. My room was clean and comfortable.
If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have a lovely day!
All the staff from management to all care staff, cooks and cleaners, were also kind and caring towards my mother. Nothing was too much trouble. They are all a credit to the caring profession.
Thank you again for letting our team know how we did! We look forward to helping again in the future. Take care!
Cleanliness and the overall environment very good.
Confident that my mother is well cared for and any issues with her health are quickly communicated to us.
Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to review Beechwood Grove.
She loves the food and the choice is excellent. The range of activities is fantastic I just wish mum could take advantage of more of them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for your feedback which is always welcome.
I spoke to the manager after an incident that happened today and he explained everything very clearly and was very eager to resolve the situation to everyone’s satisfaction. I am kept informed on any incidents that happen e.g falls etc.
Thank you for your feedback and review which is so important to everyone here and for people looking for a care home.
I was very impressed with the care that was given to my very old neighbour it was sad to see her in the last days of her life but I am sure she was cared for in the hands of the staff that I saw thank you very much
We are so pleased we were able to offer care and support to you both. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback which is so important to the family here at Beechwood Grove.
Had a meeting with managers and carers regarding the future care for my mum. Everything was explained to me clearly and they were very respectful to my mum when explaining to her what was going to happen.
We really appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback and writing us a review. Thank you.
During the short time, my mum was at Beechwood Grove the manager and his staff were always very welcoming and helpful. Through the difficult time of the pandemic, they did their utmost to keep everyone safe and we thank them for everything they did for us and our mum.

Very attentive staff. Couldn't fault them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at Beechwood Grove and for your lovely feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back again very soon.
My mother has been a resident at Beechwood Grove for 2 years. They have always been very welcoming and acted in her best interests. Throughout lockdown when I was unable to visit her, it was a comfort to know that she was safe and well cared for and I didn't need to worry about her wellbeing.
Thank you for your kind feedback and for taking the time to complete a review.
Mum settled well from the time she arrived in April 2019. She has been well cared for, due to the dedication of the team. The teams have dealt with the unforeseen challenges of 2020 with dedication to their residents, still offering professional support to the families when needed. I take this opportunity to thank everybody at Beechwood Grove and look forward to when we can all get together.
Thank you for kind words, this year has certainly been a challenge for our residents, their families and us as a home. The whole team have and are continuing to work so hard to look after our residents and it means so much to have the support of our families and friends.
It is difficult to complete the options below as we haven't been able to actually see the facilities so will put satisfactory for those we feel we cannot answer at this time. We cannot send without an answer!
As beautiful as the home and its surroundings are, there is nothing more important to me than knowing that she is loved and cared for and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the wonderful team.
I could not have made a better choice and fully recommend Beechwood Grove to anyone looking for the same.
Our residents and their relatives become part of our Beechwood family and without the laughter and tears that we share, we would not be home that we are. Once again thank you for taking the time to write this review and for choosing us.
I can not recommend Beechwood Grove enough they have been fantastic with my mother-in-law, and in the last few months with Coronavirus around I know she has been looked after 100%, I thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review for us and your lovely comments. The team really appreciate the feedback and look forward to seeing you back in the bistro soon.
Beechwood Grove has a warm and welcoming feel. The purpose-built building allows the residents to move around freely both inside and out. The bedrooms offer space and privacy. Lovely outside gardens to communal areas inside to sit and enjoy. Lots of great activities during the day. I would like to thank all the lovely staff for looking after my Mum.
Thank you for your review and comments regarding the home and staff. The staff are all working extremely hard to keep everyone safe and happy and will certainly appreciate the positive feedback at such a difficult time for us all. Take care and keep safe.
Wonderful staff, who show genuine care and interest in residents. Lovely location and beautifully presented. Fantastic to have the garden accessible for all.

Meet the Team (4)

I started my working journey 30 years ago in the hotel & restaurant industry, I mastered the art of fine dining and hospitality management.
After 10 years I decided on a change and moved into the private care sector, where I have stayed for the last 20 years. During this time, I have worked in a variety of roles and most recently as Head of Hospitality. I have the belief that every single employee plays a huge role in the success of the home, so I feel that team work is a priority.
I have gained an in-depth knowledge of care home management and hope to be able to bring my skills to complement the established and excellent team at Beechwood Grove Care Home.
My biggest accomplishment was leading a team to win the coveted National Association of Care Catering Award for Care Establishment of the Year.
My favourite activity in my spare time is making memories with my family. We enjoy playing board games, going out for walks and cooking together on the BBQ! I also like to raise funds for charities close to me. I love to hold dinner parties for friends and family and I have a passion for collecting vintage red wine!

Born in Liverpool but moved to Sussex aged 2, Abi qualified as an Enrolled Nurse in 1985. She worked for 10 years in male and surgical wards at the William Harvey Hospital in Kent. She then moved to work with severely disabled adults within Social Services.
Following a time out to have her family, Abi returned to a nursing home environment and qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1993. She furthered her role within the private sector working as a Senior Nurse and was instrumental in implementing the Gold Standard Framework within the home.
Abi then moved to be part of the nursing team involved in opening a new nursing home near Lewes.
Abi joined Beechwood Grove in 2018 as a Registered Nurse on the nursing unit and progressed to become Clinical Lead in 2019.
Abi has 3 children, a 4-year-old grandson, 3 dogs, 3 horses and 6 chickens, which take up most of her free time.

Before I joined Beechwood Grove, I had a range of roles, including driving double-deckers and bendy buses around Eastbourne and Brighton. I recently worked in the retirement sector as a property manager; the opportunity came to join the team at Beechwood Grove. In my spare time, I am a volunteer team leader for the local homeless charity, providing outreach sessions on the seafront in Eastbourne.
My role involves showcasing our beautiful home to potential new residents and their families, guiding them through their journey to join Beechwood Grove. I also work closely with the Head of Hospitality, showcasing events at Beechwood Grove on social media and being the editor of the internal newsletter, the Beechwood Bugle.

Hello, everyone! My name is Sean Collins, and I'm from Hertfordshire. I am currently the Head Chef at Beechwood Grove, Eastbourne. I studied catering and hospitality at college and have always worked in the hospitality industry. I feel passionate about people having a good experience when it comes to dining, and I am always looking for ways to improve what we offer. If I'm not at work, I can most likely be found walking my dog Marley with my wife Rachel and daughter Polly or in Friston forest on my mountain bike.
