Mum has been a resident at Alexandra House since it reopened in 2018. Every effort was made to help her transition from another care home as stress free as possible. The staff are kind, considerate and very patient, they have the taken time to get to know mum and what her likes and dislikes are. It it a huge relief knowing mum is being well cared for 24/7.
I feel that Mum has found a new home from home. The staff are very kind and considerate, they are very aware of the stress that comes from a relative moving into a care home and have gone to great lengths to make this process as easy as possible for Mum and the rest of the family.

An excellent, bright, friendly, caring atmosphere with approachable, helpful caring staff who treat residents with kindness and dignity. The only issue is the standard of catering/food since the departure of the original chef (May/June 2018).

My husband was resident for two weeks for respite. Good welcome and very nice room. Good listening to his requirements. Very well cared for and always complimentary about him. Immaculate and always clean and tidy. Food excellent. Definitely, the best care home of the other five he has been in.

The overall standard is excellent. Staff very helpful and willing; my wife has improved since coming. However, getting in is akin to getting into Fort Knox. Quite often taking 5-10 minutes and only after phoning them on mobile.

Thank you for your very positive review of our new care home at Alexandra House. We are delighted that your wife has improved since joining and that our staff are helpful and willing. Alexandra House is a residential and dementia care home and as such security is very important to us. It appears that this may be getting in the way of visitors ease of access to the home and we will put measures in place to ensure the staff of more responsive to this.
The staff have been absolutely fantastic during my mum's transition from life at home. Her care is excellent and all her needs have been met since being here. I would have no hesitation with recommending Alexandra House.

I have not seen my brother so happy and relaxed for a long time I used to dread going to visit him as dementia changed his personality to an irritable, verbally abusive and moody person but the staff here are brilliant. I can't thank them enough for the change they have made with him.

I have a number of formal qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social care and in 2021, in my previous role, I won Manager of the Year at our annual awards.
My Mum was a Community Carer and gave me the push that I needed to go into the care industry, I have never looked back and love working in such a rewarding industry because every day is different.
