Designed and built to offer bespoke and specialised dementia care the 32-bed home will offer dementia care that is truly bespoke. The care home’s layout and design has been guided by the most forward-thinking research in dementia care to allow individuals the freedom and confidence to use all abilities to the fullest extent in a safe, secure and enabling environment.
Key to the overall ethos is the home from home principle. In a layout specifically considered to help those with short-term memory loss, there are no out of bounds areas. The bespoke build design and model of care for dementia puts the house-member at the centre of their own care. All staff demonstrate a genuine commitment and interest in the well being of all. The care given I rate as outstanding. Open visiting facilitates work commitments. Activities, both physical and mental, are engaging for all. I noticed a significant improvement in well-being after one week. What a wonderful model for care. I hope the rest of the World takes note - this is how it should be done.
