This home is a very welcoming and friendly place. Beautifully and efficiently run, with the main focus on its residents, and with plenty of entertainment. Situated in a lovely part of Devon with gardens facing towards Dartmoor. The staff are very caring and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would totally recommend this home to anyone in need of care. A wonderful place to be.

My husband was a resident at Mulberry House several times for respite care and then finally it became his home for the last year of his life. I found it to be well managed by experienced and dedicated staff who provided a very welcoming and supportive ambience. The building is well equipped and maintained with comfortable rooms, a pleasant dining room and two quiet lounges. The large conservatory is 'where it all happens', with daily activities and entertainment. The standard of cleanliness is extremely high and the level of care from the kind and friendly staff is exemplary. The chef and kitchen staff provide good wholesome food and delicious home made cakes every day. There are beautifully kept gardens with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. My husband was looked after and supported at Mulberry House with compassion, patience, kindness and loving care for which I shall always be grateful.

Within 3 miles of Bovey Tracey, on Dartmoor, nestles a gem of a care home. Mulberry House caters for retired residents, elderly residents with medical problems and patients needing palliative care. All cared for by management and staff qualified to deal with all stages of illness. I am the husband of a palliative care patient who's stay was made easier by the freedo of visitors, compassionate attention and support for family in the final hours. I can recommend Mulberry House.

Mulberry House has beautiful gardens with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. My mum first went to stay there for respite and we were impressed by the warmth of the staff and the variety of daily activities which are fun and inclusive (film nights, quizzes, puzzles, sing-a-longs etc). My mum has Alzheimer's and Mulberry House is about the right size - big enough for her to move elsewhere if she feels anxious, but small enough that she is never going to get lost. I can't praise the caring staff highly enough. My mum makes quite a bit of fuss about having a bath and the staff are very patient and understanding. They work as a team and show kindness and compassion in every situation. My mum feels safe there and has settled in well. Thank you Mulberry House!

Mulberry House is simply wonderful in so many respects. My mum has dementia and is often confused, needing reassurance, and the staff are caring and compassionate, and their patience is endless. The home provide varied activities every day and mum especially enjoys the musical and artistic ones and being busy helps to distract her from her worries- it is great to see her smiling and laughing. The staff competently see to her personal hygiene and she is fed well on home cooked meals and plenty of tea and cake. The home itself is bright and cheerful and spotlessly clean and there are beautiful gardens with great views to walk in during the summer. It gives me so much peace of mind to know she is settled and safe and it is a pleasure to visit and interact with the kind, dedicated staff. I can also follow the Facebook page and see what my mum has been doing when I'm not there. I can't fault it and am so grateful for the marvellous care she is receiving. Thank you Mulberry House

After viewing 2 other residential homes I viewed Mulberry House. There was no comparison whatsoever as Mulberry House was by far the best in presentation, ambience, cleanliness, staff friendliness & modern facilities. My mother was coming to Mulberry House as a palliative resident. Nothing was too much trouble. Her care was excellent & the staff were very caring. Her room was warm & cosy. We were able to hang some pictures to make the room feel more like home. All precautions were put in place in case my mother fell out of bed. Any questions or queries were handled efficiently. We visited daily & were welcomed by the staff. The tea trolley at 3pm was a delight with cake offerings & we were always asked if we wanted a cup of tea or coffee. Sadly the end was apparent & we were called by Mulberry House. They drove over to pick my father up. We were able to spend time with my mother until she passed. The staff were brilliant & I couldn't have asked for anything more.

My husband was made very welcome by the delightful staff and lovingly cared for. The staff are excellent and really care for their charges. The room was very pleasant with a nice view and plenty of space to hang clothes. He had two falls and a foot infection while a resident, which were dealt with promptly and efficiently.

I cannot praise the staff enough, not only for the care for my husband but also for the help given to me in helping with the various items which needed to be brought to and from the car.

I had two weeks respite care at Mulberry House after major surgery. I was looking for complete rest to prepare me for being at home alone. The care I received was second to none - both management & staff did their utmost to let me have the rest I needed, whilst keeping a close eye on all of my requirements - I couldn't have asked for more!
I was unable to take advantage of the varied activities on offer due to my circumstances, so I can't comment on this aspect.

My grateful thanks to you all for your care & kindness.

My Mum has been a resident in Mulberry House for the last 3 years as she is living with dementia. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday and the staff could not have done more to make her feel special, going out of their way to facilitate a private party for her friends and relatives.

The standard of care she receives daily is very high, and the activities on offer are absolutely fantastic. The home has a warm and friendly feel, is clean and well maintained, residents are treated with respect and care. Making the decision to move a loved one into a care home is so difficult, but I genuinely believe it is the best place for my beloved Mum, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

My mum was at Mulberry House for respite care after an operation. It is a very lovely house, clean and well maintained in a lovely setting with a homely feel. The most amazing thing about it though is the staff. Everyone was so friendly and happy in their work. Genuinely concerned, caring and always on hand for anything. Mum was looked after very well and I wouldn't hesitate recommending to anyone, whether for a short respite stay or a longer more permanent stay. Thank you to everyone at Mulberry House.

My mum lived at Mulberry House for two and a half years until she passed away peacefully. She was always so complimentary about the staff, their professionalism and compassion, their friendliness and caring approach. As her son living in a different country, it gave me great comfort that she so well looked after by such caring staff.

The moment I stepped into Mulberry House, I felt very welcome. Someone showed me to my room, the room was very nice on the second floor. Several staff members helped me to feel at ease. The food was very nice. if I felt hungry, I would ask for a cup of tea and biscuits. Staff were always popping in to see if I needed anything. Lots of activities to join in if I wished. Had my hair washed and dried each week I was there. Overall, a lovely stay while my daughter was away.

The staff are always friendly and try to be helpful, cleaners and support team, gardener and chef really high standards. Rooms, cleaned well, but they could do with some updates in some cases. Lounge, library, very nice spaces and good for quiet chats, meetings, tea etc. Food seems good and home-cooked, lovely gardens. good social and activity options. More evidence of joined-up thinking between medics, the elderly, the Mental Health Team and family would be helpful.

The staff, without exception, were always kind, helpful and gave my mother-in-law the best care. She really enjoyed her chats with such friendly staff, and she loved joining in all the activities and entertainment. With the careful management of her medication, she recovered a lot over the first few months up to a year. Her care was specific to her changing capabilities, which gave her some happy times. The staff made it comfortable for the family to visit, and excellent communication of her needs. She also loved the food.

My sister moved into Mulberry House last year as she had recently been diagnosed with Dementia. She has been treated with kindness and warmth and is very happy there. The staff and Manager went out of their way to welcome her and encourage any activities she might enjoy. It has made a potentially difficult and traumatic change, much easier for her to accept.

My 95-year-old father-in-law moved into Mulberry house in January of this year. He was in a very frail condition, having found it increasingly hard to look after himself at home. Within weeks, the care and attention that he received has been transformational. He is now enjoying life again, and has regained that sparkle in his eye. We have not met many of the staff, but have so far been very impressed with two of them, and very much look forward to meeting their colleages.

My father (95yrs) suffered a fall/infection 2 weeks before becoming a resident at Mulberry House. He was no longer able to live alone safely. A few weeks on and he's clearly feeling content and settled. He says he loves the food and finds all the staff very friendly and helpful. We as a family know he is safe and being very well cared for which brings everyone huge peace of mind.
