Hallmark Banstead Manor

We had the pleasure of meeting some staff on our very first visit to Banstead Manor when my brother Colin went to stay as a resident. Unfortunately, it was only a couple of weeks before Banstead Manor went into Lockdown and visits were not permitted. However with weekly updates and telephone calls via the staff, I had no worries about my brother’s care. He has grown close to staff who were always willing to go above and beyond with her enjoyable manner and fully committed to her job with great dedication. I would like to thank the staff for all their time and hard work in caring for my brother for the past 20 months. I would also like to mention how efficient and professional the Receptionist has been during our telephone conversations. It was a pleasure meeting her whenever I visited my brother and something I always looked forward to.

Thank you to the dedicated staff at Banstead Manor for the loving care given to Mum throughout the challenging times that COVID has thrown at them. Much appreciated by all the family.

My brother in law became a resident at Banstead Manor Care Home on 7th July 2021, we have already received continuous support from the management and staff.

Following a stay in the hospital during the pandemic crisis in January, my mother needed care while she was immobile. Banstead Manor Care Home provided immediate care and arranged for her transport from the hospital all at short notice. She was in Banstead Manor Care Home for three months and she was very well looked after. The food was excellent and the facilities clean and tidy. Throughly recommend Banstead Manor Care Home.

Very pleasant staff all kind and residents too. When not in lockdown plenty of entertainment.

You only have to look at my mother, aged 89 years old, to see how much she is enjoying life at Banstead Manor Care Home. She looks amazingly well and is on very good form. She has many friends, both staff and residents and loves the company and the excellent care she receives. Living on the ground floor at Beech Mews means that she can also enjoy her own patch of garden, changing from geraniums in the summer and pansies and bulbs in the winter.

My experience has been that of very good care - both physical and mental. Excellent discussions with carers whilst being cared for. The room and facilities are good. Food very satisfactory. Am putting on weight!

On 15th May 2019 I caught sepsis and spent many weeks in hospital. I came to Banstead Manor on 5th July 2019 and was given intensive nursing care on the nursing floor with a wonderful team who became like my family. On my improvement, I came to the residents' floor on 17th December 2019. I have had excellent care by the team on this floor and am happy to say another caring family.

The care home has been brilliant in the Covid19 lockdown and safety for the residents seems to be paramount. My mother loves the carers, who all seem so caring and loving.

We are so impressed by the staff at Banstead Manor. My husband suffers from a rare form of dementia which deeply impairs communication. We did not expect him to settle well in a care home, especially since his arrival coincided with lockdown and therefore no family visits and limited activities. The carers have gone above and beyond in understanding his needs and making sure that he is occupied, well-groomed and well-fed. As a result, he is much calmer and more relaxed than we could have imagined would be possible in the circumstances. Since visits have now restarted we have been able to see first hand the level of care and attention that the staff provide. I have not as yet been able to go inside the home but from what I can see in photos it is very tastefully designed and well equipped. I am pleased that my husband is now taking part in more activities and is able to enjoy the garden. We greatly appreciate the regular detailed updates the staff send us.

Overall, both my sister and I have been very impressed with Banstead Manor.

We are so glad we found Banstead Manor!

My mother in law's partner has moved into Banstead Manor early January. Attention to detail in initially assessing all the care needs, to sorting out any appointments, medication etc has been excellent. The home feels like a holistic home from home environment with the sitting rooms and eating areas designed to feel like home. We have been very impressed.

I went to celebrate her 90th birthday with three other friends. We were given a separate room in which to have a splendid three-course lunch. It was served like a first-class hotel. We chatted with the staff and other residents. It was all beautifully organised but very relaxed, a bit like a very friendly hotel, with care and medical facilities all to hand and everything was done to promote independence.

I have been so happy staying in Banstead Manor Care home, recovering from a hip fracture. The good nursing and care have been wonderful. Everyone makes you feel so happy. The food is delightful and there is a varied menu. I am sure I shall recover from my accident quickly. I shall never forget the kindness shown to me at Banstead Manor Care Home. My friends enjoy visiting me here so much. You are so kind to my visitors. Thank you for all your help which is greatly appreciated.

Just a few words to say how amazing Banstead Manor is. My husband and I looked at a few care facilities when it became obvious that Mum just couldn’t cope at home. As soon as we walked through the doors of Banstead Manor, we knew ‘this was it’! Absolutely perfect. I still feel like that every time I visit. I had been battling for and with Mum, who has ever-worsening dementia. She was so resistant to any sort of help or care, but I can honestly say now that I could not wish for anything better for my mum. The staff are all lovely and more than kind. They really care. Mum is like a different person. She is kept busy and stimulated and she has her hair done at the salon. She has had her nails manicured, she takes part in the varied and many activities. There is even a cinema! She is happy and smiling. Something I haven’t seen for many a long year. She adores the whole team (as do I). I could go on and on and on and would be happy to endorse any aspect of Banstead Manor.

Lovely welcoming home with outstanding decor. Carers are very kind and treat Mum with respect and dignity. Reception staff are outstanding and always dealt with requests and concerns professionally. I feel relieved that Mum is receiving such good care.

After visiting a few homes, when we left this visit we all walked out saying this is the one. The patience, love, devotion to all the residents has been so lovely to see and experience. We couldn't have wished for a more caring and loving environment, not to just the residents but also the family when needed. This includes all the staff members. It is lovely that residents are able to move between floors and access all facilities if required. This is a new home so all the facilities are up to date, the rooms are very modern as is the rest of the home.

The moment we wheeled Dad in through the doors, we knew we had found his new home. His shoulders visibly relaxed as we entered a light and airy space and were warmly greeted at reception. All of the staff were generous with their time in making sure Dad was choosing with no pressure but with all the necessary information available. He found a room he loved and he “put his name on it”. He moved in a couple of weeks later with support and encouragement to make as many visits as he felt he needed. We have found all of the staff friendly, upbeat and helpful at all times. The building is new, designed for purpose and classily decorated with various communal spaces. The food is outstanding and available as a restaurant with no need for previous day tick lists. The move has given our family peace of mind that Dad is safe, secure and being exceptionally well cared for.
