On 15th May 2019 I caught sepsis and spent many weeks in hospital. I came to Banstead Manor on 5th July 2019 and was given intensive nursing care on the nursing floor with a wonderful team who became like my family. On my improvement, I came to the residents' floor on 17th December 2019. I have had
excellent care by the team on this floor and am happy to say another caring family.

We are so impressed by the staff at Banstead Manor. My husband suffers from a rare form of dementia which deeply impairs communication. We did not expect him to settle well in a care home, especially since his arrival coincided with lockdown and therefore no family visits and limited activities. The
carers have gone above and beyond in understanding his needs and making sure that he is occupied, well-groomed and well-fed. As a result, he is much calmer and more relaxed than we could have imagined would be possible in the circumstances. Since visits have now restarted we have been able to see first hand the level of care and attention that the staff provide. I have not as yet been able to go inside the home but from what I can see in photos it is very tastefully designed and well equipped. I am pleased that my husband is now taking part in more activities and is able to enjoy the garden. We greatly appreciate the regular detailed updates the staff send us.

My mother has been a resident in Banstead Manor since January 28th this year. During this time, staff have been extremely professional and accessible at all times. The ethos of the building is overall, in my experience, very good. Staff are cheerful and helpful.
The quality of food and the varied menu
is of a very good standard (I know because my mother is a very fussy eater).
The standard of hygiene is very high.
The decor is of a very high standard, and the overall impression of Banstead Manor is of comfort, warmth and care.
The standard of care is very high. My mother has commented on this many times: "They will do anything for you here".
Staff engagement is also very high. My mother often comments how friendly the care staff are (to which she means communicating with her readily).
The weekly activities provide a very wide range to meet most needs.
Overall, both my sister and I have been very impressed with Banstead Manor.

We looked at many care homes for my Dad and the Hallmark homes were by far the best. Banstead is a new home in the family and is truly outstanding. It is purpose-built, very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. It has the look and the facilities of a fancy hotel! The price is very reasonable,
including frequent treatments such as massages, manicures, haircuts and chiropody. The staff have all been lovely and have gone out of their way to make sure that my Dad settled in straight away. He has instantly become a valued member of the community. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we are not allowed to visit and the programme of activities has had to be reduced. However, the staff have been so kind as to keep us regularly updated and make sure my Dad gets a walk in the garden every day. I have not been able to try the food at Banstead but I hear it is very good and my Dad is enjoying all his meals and snacks.
We are so glad we found Banstead Manor!

My mother in law's partner has moved into Banstead Manor early January. Attention to detail in initially assessing all the care needs, to sorting out any appointments, medication etc has been excellent. The home feels like a holistic home from home environment with the sitting rooms and eating areas
designed to feel like home. We have been very impressed.

I went to celebrate her 90th birthday with three other friends. We were given a separate room in which to have a splendid three-course lunch. It was served like a first-class hotel. We chatted with the staff and other residents. It was all beautifully organised but very relaxed, a bit like a very friendly
hotel, with care and medical facilities all to hand and everything was done to promote independence.

I have been so happy staying in Banstead Manor Care home, recovering from a hip fracture. The good nursing and care have been wonderful. Everyone makes you feel so happy. The food is delightful and there is a varied menu. I am sure I shall recover from my accident quickly. I shall never forget the kindness
shown to me at Banstead Manor Care Home. My friends enjoy visiting me here so much. You are so kind to my visitors. Thank you for all your help which is greatly appreciated.

Just a few words to say how amazing Banstead Manor is. My husband and I looked at a few care facilities when it became obvious that Mum just couldn’t cope at home. As soon as we walked through the doors of Banstead Manor, we knew ‘this was it’! Absolutely perfect. I still feel like that every time
I visit. I had been battling for and with Mum, who has ever-worsening dementia. She was so resistant to any sort of help or care, but I can honestly say now that I could not wish for anything better for my mum. The staff are all lovely and more than kind. They really care. Mum is like a different person. She is kept busy and stimulated and she has her hair done at the salon. She has had her nails manicured, she takes part in the varied and many activities. There is even a cinema! She is happy and smiling. Something I haven’t seen for many a long year. She adores the whole team (as do I). I could go on and on and on and would be happy to endorse any aspect of Banstead Manor.

After visiting a few homes, when we left this visit we all walked out saying this is the one. The patience, love, devotion to all the residents has been so lovely to see and experience. We couldn't have wished for a more caring and loving environment, not to just the residents but also the family when
needed. This includes all the staff members. It is lovely that residents are able to move between floors and access all facilities if required. This is a new home so all the facilities are up to date, the rooms are very modern as is the rest of the home.

The moment we wheeled Dad in through the doors, we knew we had found his new home. His shoulders visibly relaxed as we entered a light and airy space and were warmly greeted at reception. All of the staff were generous with their time in making sure Dad was choosing with no pressure but with all the
necessary information available. He found a room he loved and he “put his name on it”. He moved in a couple of weeks later with support and encouragement to make as many visits as he felt he needed. We have found all of the staff friendly, upbeat and helpful at all times. The building is new, designed for purpose and classily decorated with various communal spaces. The food is outstanding and available as a restaurant with no need for previous day tick lists. The move has given our family peace of mind that Dad is safe, secure and being exceptionally well cared for.

Very impressed with 85% of what is offered. Staff are very helpful and caring. Activities like Tai Chi and seated exercise classes are very helpful and having hair and nails done weekly helps to keep life normal. My visitors enjoy coming to see me and appreciate the drinks and biscuits provided freely.
As it is new, there are obviously a few setbacks. My only worry is the laundry which isn't running 100% due to the naming of laundry items. I am still quite new but hopeful. I don't think I could have found anything better.

This is my fourth care home in three years and this is the best by far. Staff are all helpful with a smile and good fun and sense of humour. The manager is amazing - approachable, kind, caring and listens with positive action. Teamwork amazing. Rolls Royce of care homes at last.

I have found the home to be very welcoming. The staff are helpful, friendly and reassuring. Daily activities are arranged and family events have included a bbq and tea party.

I am happy living here. Generally speaking, I think the care and support I get here is very good. If I need any help, I can press my button and someone will come to me, they will come and help me to get into bed. My room is very comfortable. The cleaners are very good at looking after my room and bathroom.
The food is always good. They always check the windows and doors every night, so I feel safe and secure.

I have been with Banstead Manor for 3 years. I am pleased to be able to step up from Deputy Manager into the role of General Manager while Veronica is on maternity leave.
