The skilled team at Montfort Manor delivers nursing, residential and dementia care on a short-term and permanent basis.

The purpose-built care home has been designed with residents' health and wellbeing in mind and is made up of smaller suites to offer a close-knit and homely environment - this is especially beneficial for those living with dementia.

Montfort Manor has its own inviting café – complete with freshly baked cakes – plus a luxurious cinema room, bar and a hair and beauty salon. There's something to do whatever the weather.

Residents are supported to do as much or as little as they wish: they can lead an activity, help around the home or simply relax in the comfort of their bedroom.

After visiting many homes and feeling very apprehensive. I approached Montfort Manor and was instantly impressed with the facilities and quality of the home.
The staff are first class, especially the lifestyle team.
Mum is safe and very well looked after.
Most importantly Mum is happy and has a better
quality of life in Montfort.
Weel done Monfort Manor.

Montfort Manor have really made waves in the caring community.
My grandmother has been in their care for 6 months now and they have gone above and beyond to care and look after her. Our grandmother is very happy and always has great things to say about the staff and facilities. She has really come
out of her shell and has even taken up dancing since becoming a resident at Montfort Manor, something that our family has never seen our grandmother do!
She is always happy, smiling, laughing and joking and we have really seen her personality blossom despite her condition, which again is very pleasing for our family. Our grandmother is our biggest treasure and it was an arduous task to find somewhere that we thought could care for her as well as we did but the staff at Montfort Manor have more than exceeded our expectations and continue to do so on a day to day basis.
Montfort Manor is truly deserved of the name 'Manor' and there is nowhere else we would rather our grandmother be.

I am judging Montfort Manor against another care home that my mother was in previously. I would have judged the first home as excellent although very expensive, but Montfort Manor is head and shoulders above.
They have great facilities, all the staff truly care, the place is like a four-star hotel.
Still far from cheap but about £400 per week cheaper than previous.
If you place your elderly relative here they will be truly looked after and you can rest easy knowing that they are in good hands.

Having accepted that my husband needed specialist round the clock care that I was unable to provide at home, I have not been disappointed in my decision in choosing Montfort Manor for him.
The staff are passionate about what they do whatever area they are working in, and all pull together to give
the residents the best day to day living experience that they can.
There's always some fun activity going on for the residents to get involved with if they so wish or one to one time if a resident prefers this.
The staff are amazing. They not only exhibit kindness and respect but also inject the right amount of humour making it a happy place to be.
From a relative's perspective, I was welcomed on day one when I turned up unannounced to look around, and I have felt supported ever since by all levels of staff.

My mother moved into Montfort Manor in November 2019. The whole initial viewing and registering was made easy and straightforward. All the staff have been warm and caring to her and they have made it a pleasure for me to visit. The home is a delight; so new, bright and airy and with wonderful activities
- it’s a joy. Well done to all the staff especially in this difficult last year. Thank you.

My dad moved into Montfort Manor after spending 14 weeks very unwell in hospital. He settled in straight away and it soon became clear that we had chosen the right place for him. The staff are extremely caring and appear to have a passion for their job. The surroundings and facilities are second to
none. The food is excellent and menus are varied and to suit individuals. The activities arranged for the residents are well thought out. During the summer the cheese and wine afternoons were a particular favourite. Relatives are encouraged to be part of the 'family' and are valued. During Covid, I have felt that dad has been very safe and extremely well looked after. Staff have always been willing to go the extra mile.

They have been great to my dad and really look after him well. He has been in this facility since December last year, and I have never had cause for complaint. Since COVID, they have done everything in their power to keep the users safe and sound, and they have done a great job so far.

Due to Covid protocols, I am unable to answer most questions below.
The staff who were involved with arrangements prior to my dad's admission were excellent - extremely kind, compassionate, professional and informative.
On the day of admission, my dad was given such a kind and warm welcome and staff
were so kind to me.
Thank you.

My dad has been at Montford Manor since it opened last year straight from hospital after major surgery. He had been in another care home temporarily for 3 months previous to this after a long stay in hospital. Despite dad’s complicated post-op recovery and numerous re-admissions, he settled in well.
I have been so impressed by the positive attitude and care of all staff- from reception, maintenance, catering and of course the nurses/carers/ents staff. Dad is safe, well-fed, encouraged to be active and sociable and physically, mentally and emotionally cared for to a very high level. Staff are quick to respond to his needs, encourage independence and keep us informed. As relatives, our input is valued and the relative's meetings are a successful forum for discussion.

Moved Mum here from another UK care provider. Everything from initial visit to discussions about finance was handled with ease. The move has been very straight forward thanks to the entire team at Montford Manor and Mum was welcomed so wonderfully. She was immediately at ease and visibly more relaxed
than at her previous care home. The staff have gone that extra mile to make her feel at home, as have we. Being told to treat Montford as our home too was wonderful to hear. Within 24 hours of my mother arriving I know she is better cared for and respected by all the staff. Coupled with a wonderful environment, glorious food and staff who have a clear passion for what they do, we simply couldn't have asked for more.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.911)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.911) out of 10 for Montfort Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 46 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 45 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.911 for Montfort Manor is calculated as follows: ( (516 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) + (6 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 549 Ratings = 4.911
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Montfort Manor is based on 45 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 registered maximum number of service users is 13.6, which has been reached with 45 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I joined Care UK in 2022 having known the company to have a very good reputation for providing high-quality care and putting residents and their needs first. Care UK to me is about quality both for residents and families as well as colleagues.

I have been working as a Home Manager in care homes for the past 8 years, a role which requires good communication skills, compassion, and empathy, whilst being able to multitask.

I was a finalist in the Care Home Manager Awards in 2020. Although I didn’t win, it was an honour to have been nominated and picked to be a finalist.

My favourite part of each day is walking around the home, making sure residents are happy and safe. There is always someone to have a chat with.

There is nothing that I enjoy more than working in a good team for the best interests of the residents, helping them to be happy and enjoy their twilight years.
