Firstly and most importantly, all the staff at Buddleia House Care Home look after my dad really well, they look after all his needs while also making him feel that they are his friends and are always kind, look after his dignity and take time to chat to him and joke with him.
On top of that, I and
my brother are always made to feel welcome and can chat to the staff about any concerns or coordinate regarding his care whenever we pop in to see him.
They lay on regular entertainments and special teas and lunches and we are always welcome to go to these with him. And the house is regularly decorated for whatever festival is relevant such as Easter and Christmas.
They also always contact me with any issues that occur so that I am fully in the loop with how things are for Dad between my visits.
They are a marvellous team and could not give better care to Dad and consideration to Dad's family.

Whenever I visit Mum, it is immediately apparent that I am entering a well-run and caring environment. A lot of effort is made by the staff to keep the home looking bright and festive. We always seem to be celebrating something.
Despite Mum's quite advanced and sometimes challenging dementia, the care
staff work hard to support her.
If I can voice a room for improvement, it would be to ensure that the small, personal details be addressed, such as ensuring Mum has plenty of warm clothing on (as she does seem to feel the cold) and making sure that she is wearing her spectacles.
Overall though, I think that we have been fortunate to find such a good place for Mum at this stage of her life and it is heartwarming to receive smiling faces and a warm greeting from the staff members whenever I visit Mum.

My mum has been a resident at the home for some time now and we have nothing but positive things to say about the staff and the care my mum receives. There is always some form of activity taking place and the whole atmosphere is one of joy. The staff are wonderful, all of them, attentive and thoughtful
and the place is extremely well-run. It is a big decision when it comes to choosing a home for your loved ones but we could not be happier with the care she receives at Buddleia House Care Home.

I can't tell you how much I love this care home. I was super nervous when I heard the home would be getting a new manager last year. Turns out she is the best thing since sliced bread. She is caring, thoughtful, empathetic, approachable and goes out of her way to try and make my dad's quality of life
the best it can be.
Every single staff member is fantastic and goes above and beyond to care for my dad. I could not ask for anything more. I am so glad I found Buddleia House Care Home. Thanks to all of you for everything you do.

We choose Buddlier House for short respite for mum, she thought she was in beautiful hotel and rightly so you have to see it to believe how lovely, clean, modern and decorated to very high standard. She was treated like a queen in every aspect including her favourite tipple of whisky she couldn't ask
for more. Every one of the staff are a credit to Buddliea House, respectful, caring, kind with always a smile, and always entertaining them. Our family can't thank you all enough for every thing you have done for Mum.

All care staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful no matter what time I visit my mum. They take exceptional care and pride in all aspects of their work. (The facilities are always spotless.) I have visited Buddleia House Care Home on numerous occasions, but more recently for their 'Virtual Cruise' events, which have been absolutely amazing.
From the moment you walk through the door the welcome atmosphere is second to none. It is clear the residents are extremely well cared for and supported,
living their lives to the fullest.
The staff team are kind, caring, and experienced in their jobs, treating the residents with dignity and respect, almost like a member of their own family.
The home manager is pivotal to the success of Buddleia House. She is exceptional. A very dedicated and highly skilled manager, putting her heart and soul into all matters concerning the home.

The lovely staff really do provide the highest quality of care for the residents of Buddleia House.
The place is warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. My recent visit was during the captain's ball. The place looks fabulous, the entertainment was lively and the food was fab!

After the last few weeks of Buddleia's virtual cruise when we had a steel band, Elvis, Punch and Judy and much more. This Captain's Ball was really the icing on the cake. The lounge was transformed with balloons and fairy lights with all the tables decorated to restaurant quality. All the residents
and relatives were dressed up to the nines and our 3-course meal with champagne was delicious. We were entertained with a good old sing-a-long and dancing. The care and effort by all of the staff is outstanding. Each resident is loved individually. Thank you so much. We are blessed.

Mum went to Buddleia House for respite care in January following a recommendation. Although not there for very long, Mum was very well cared for both physically and emotionally. The staff were very attentive and aware of her needs. I felt happy she was being so well looked after.

We were in need of emergency respite care. The manager and deputy went out of their way to ensure a smooth transition into care.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. One could tell from the atmosphere in the care home that this was a place people could feel safe and supported and call their home.

This review is somewhat odd in that due to Covid restrictions, we never visited Mum in her room or even in the "main body" of the home. At all times, we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We were able to visit "via the window" initially and later in a designed Covid room. Mum always seemed
very happy and well cared for and appeared to have an excellent rapport with the staff.

I have always known that I would find myself caring for others. At 19 I left college and worked in a few different social care settings before finding my passion in dementia care. I started as a care assistant and found myself as a Home Manager at 24 years old and haven't looked back since. I adore empowering people - residents and staff alike.


I am delighted to have joined Milford Care, as I have wanted to be part of Milford Care for some time now; I visited Buddleia House on its open day back in 2019 and I adore the home.’
