My aunt has been with Buddleia since October 2021. The most important thing for me is how she feels as she has full mental capacity, she is happy and comfortable. I ask her regularly if she has any concerns and she assures me that she is happy and her needs are met. From my point of view, the staff
are always polite, and if I have any concerns they are approachable and receptive, both the staff and management.

Very happy with the care so far for my mum and the range of activities. Staff friendly and caring. We were all made welcome from the start of my mum's care. We would recommend the home to other people.

The staff have always been very approachable and can always update me about my dad, regardless of which staff member I ask. He has recently been ill and the care and follow-up provided for him have been excellent.

All care staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful no matter what time I visit my mum. They take exceptional care and pride in all aspects of their work. (The facilities are always spotless.) All staff go the extra mile for residents from activities to care, dietary requirements and their general well-being.

I have visited Buddleia House Care Home on numerous occasions, but more recently for their 'Virtual Cruise' events, which have been absolutely amazing.
From the moment you walk through the door the welcome atmosphere is second to none. It is clear the residents are extremely well cared for and supported,
living their lives to the fullest.
The staff team are kind, caring, and experienced in their jobs, treating the residents with dignity and respect, almost like a member of their own family.
The home manager is pivotal to the success of Buddleia House. She is exceptional. A very dedicated and highly skilled manager, putting her heart and soul into all matters concerning the home.

The lovely staff really do provide the highest quality of care for the residents of Buddleia House.
The place is warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. My recent visit was during the captain's ball. The place looks fabulous, the entertainment was lively and the food was fab!

Excellent care given to Mum since she changed homes. Mum has settled really well and it feels like home.

After the last few weeks of Buddleia's virtual cruise when we had a steel band, Elvis, Punch and Judy and much more. This Captain's Ball was really the icing on the cake. The lounge was transformed with balloons and fairy lights with all the tables decorated to restaurant quality. All the residents
and relatives were dressed up to the nines and our 3-course meal with champagne was delicious. We were entertained with a good old sing-a-long and dancing. The care and effort by all of the staff is outstanding. Each resident is loved individually. Thank you so much. We are blessed.

Mum went to Buddleia House for respite care in January following a recommendation. Although not there for very long, Mum was very well cared for both physically and emotionally. The staff were very attentive and aware of her needs. I felt happy she was being so well looked after.

My mother-in-law has been at Buddleia House Care Home for six months now and we are very happy with the levels of care provided and how she has settled in. The staff at the home are all so committed and friendly and they have so many activities to keep all residents stimulated. The level of care provided
by the staff is exceptional and the communication with family is excellent. My mother-in-law is very happy at the home.

We were in need of emergency respite care. The manager and deputy went out of their way to ensure a smooth transition into care.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. One could tell from the atmosphere in the care home that this was a place people could feel safe and supported and call their home.
I was impressed with the facilities and activities on offer. I would highly recommend Buddleia House.

This review is somewhat odd in that due to Covid restrictions, we never visited Mum in her room or even in the "main body" of the home. At all times, we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We were able to visit "via the window" initially and later in a designed Covid room. Mum always seemed
very happy and well cared for and appeared to have an excellent rapport with the staff.

My husband went into Buddleia House on the 9th of May. The staff were wonderful to him. I could not believe it was a care home. We have been married for 64 years. I thought he would ask to come home. He never did. Even if a patient is disturbed, they are so gentle with them. I go home and never worry
because I know he has the best care possible.

I visited on Sunday 5th June as part of the platinum jubilee celebrations. The communal areas were bright, lovely and well designed. A lounge flanked by a garden room (light and airy) and a games room. The staff interacted with the residents in a friendly way and I noticed that they responded immediately
to any sign of distress or anxiety. The most impressive feature is a successful attempt to make it not institutional, whilst clearly meeting regulatory standards.

I was extremely nervous about leaving my mum again, after an unsettled time previously. I had no reason to worry at all. From the initial call about availability and a reassuring chat with the manager, she put me at ease, talked me through the whole process, called back when she said and the process
started. Mum settled in well and is loving her time now, enjoying all the daily activities, so many things for them to do if they want to, from gardening to making ice cream sundaes, her health has improved so much, happiest I've seen her for a while. Smiling, like the mum I know. All of the staff at Buddleia house are so caring nothing false, they genuinely care. I know that my mum is safe, well cared for and happy, which means the world to me and my family. Visits have been well supervised and all precautions for a safe visit are taken and the process is easy to follow. If you are looking are a place that cares, Buddleia House is the place.

It’s an absolutely amazing care home staff can’t do enough for you. They are lovely with my dad and make sure he has everything he needs and he is well looked after. They do so many activities with him to keep him occupied. My dad loves it there.

I have always known that I would find myself caring for others. At 19 I left college and worked in a few different social care settings before finding my passion in dementia care. I started as a care assistant and found myself as a Home Manager at 24 years old and haven't looked back since. I adore empowering people - residents and staff alike.


I am delighted to have joined Milford Care, as I have wanted to be part of Milford Care for some time now; I visited Buddleia House on its open day back in 2019 and I adore the home.’
