Baycroft Flitwick Care Home

The arrangement of a facility for video calls, and subsequently, socially distanced outdoor visits, has been most invaluable to me during this COVID-19 lockdown period.

My mother has advanced dementia and during the lockdown, the team at Baycroft Flitwick has done everything possible to keep her safe and maintain her quality of life. It has been a comfort to her family, knowing that they are providing her with the highest quality care.

I can highly recommend Baycroft Flitwick.

My mum has been a resident at Baycroft Flitwick since October 2019. The standard of care, both physically, mentally and emotionally is 100%. Baycroft was already fabulous, but when Covid struck they went up a gear ensuring the best possible care both for residents and for families remotely. My mum has advanced dementia and now relies upon staff for everything. She is looked after with love by all the staff.

My nan has been at Baycroft, Flitwick for the past few months, and I only have positive things to say; the staff are lovely, the building, room and decor are very homely. My children love going to visit as they love the playroom, cinema, the free cafe and Nans room. We are so lucky Nan moved in just before lockdown, and they have kept her safe for the duration. The activity coordinator is great, with regular contact and photos of what Nan has been up to. Thank you all; for caring for her so well.

However, the staff at Baycroft have been excellent in trying to make the transition for her as gentle as possible, and she has been effusive in her praise for the staff. They have been very helpful in dealing with medicine distribution and in encouraging the residents to engage in entertainments amongst themselves. There have also been entertainers brought in from outside, which has been most welcome.

Baycroft Flitwick is a lovely home, and we feel Mum is safe and happy there during this difficult time of covid-19. The staff are very caring, and every effort is made to make everyone feel at home. The variety of activities before covid-19 brightened Mum's day and even through the crisis, staff have found ways of entertaining residents. Mum has a lovely room overlooking the garden which she really enjoys.

Baycroft Flitwick is an exceptional home. It is exactly that - a "home from home" residence, with a warm and welcoming family environment. The property and individual rooms are spacious, well designed and have every comfort required. Beautifully presented and maintained, with lovely gardens and outside living space. The catering staff provide excellent meals, and all residents personal needs and requirements are met. Facilities and enrichment activities for residents are excellent, and all nursing and administration staff are professional, caring and compassionate. Our mum is very happy at Baycroft, and if Mum is happy, we're happy!

My mother is being extremely well cared for at Baycroft Flitwick. The staff are wonderful and continue to look after all the residents. They organise very good activities like going to the in-house cinema and art classes. Thanks to the staff, I am able to keep in touch with my mother through FaceTime during this crisis, which is very reassuring. I am very happy to recommend Baycroft.

Mum moved into Baycroft in the middle of COVID-19, not an ideal situation but the support and care of all staff has been outstanding, a big thank you. Accommodation and facilities have really helped keep Mum safe and settled in her new surroundings.

Great all round staff, very caring. Lovely home and the facilities are excellent. They are very welcoming and always make you feel comfortable when you arrive. All the staff are friendly and helpful and are always polite. Rooms have everything and more for the clients, and they even have a kids room which my kids enjoy. The kids are allowed to watch movies in the cinema, which is good.

Dad has been at Baycroft since late November. Leaving his own home was difficult for him, and the kindness, understanding and respect shown by all the staff has helped him settle in. They are such a great team who have created a welcoming and happy atmosphere for residents and their families. Dad is receiving excellent and professional care, eating lovely food and has lots of opportunities to join in with various activities and visits. We have enjoyed joining Dad for some great meals and special events too!

Dad has resided at Baycroft in Flitwick since just before Christmas. It has obviously been hard for him to leave his own home but he needed more help and support where he could be safe. All the staff at the home; carers, nurses, domestic staff, admin, activity coordinator and the chefs, (apologies if I have left anyone out), have been so welcoming and patient and have done all they can to ensure Dad settles in and feels part of the community there. They are all so caring and have good insight into the difficulties both physically and mentally that advancing age can bring and treat their residents with respect and dignity. Baycroft is beautiful, homely, clean and welcoming for all the family and the food is as good as a top-notch restaurant, no concerns of malnutrition here. My family and I are so pleased that we chose Baycroft, where there is so much going on to ensure life can still be fun and productive in our advancing years. Thank you for looking after my dad.

Excellent quality, accommodation, staff, care, facilities. Welcoming, and knowledgeable. My mother is very happy here and does not hesitate to tell us which, for her, is high praise indeed!
