The cleanliness of the environment is outstanding, creating a fresh and welcoming atmosphere and go above and beyond to ensure she is comfortable, safe and treated with dignity.
Communication is excellent, the team keeps me updated regarding medical appointments and always seeks my consent for any changes to her care needs. A special mention to Liz, Portia and Mikey for their dedication and professionalism. Also the receptionists who are always warm and welcoming. We are extremely happy we choose Fernleigh Court. Thank you, Julian, for taking the time to share such a wonderful review. We are truly grateful for your kind words and delighted to hear how happy you are with the care your mother receives at Fernleigh Court. A special thank you for recognising Liz, Portia, and Maicky for their dedication and...
I cannot praise Fernleigh Court high enough! From the first day we brought my mother into Fernleigh, we were made to feel at home. My mother's care is second to none. She came to Fernleigh under respite care for one month and was eager to be going home, but after two weeks, she wants to stay permanently. The staff, care workers, managment are excellent. Big shout out to Letsy and Portia who go above and beyond.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Fernleigh Court, we are delighted that you felt at home with us and that you are happy with our care for your mother.
A lovely care home. Very clean. Excellent care. Very friendly staff. Food is very good, lots of choice. Excellent activities.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Fernleigh Court. We will pass your kind words on to the staff team.
After years of caring for a family member, we have finally found a home that we are completely satisfied with. One of the hardest decisions we have made, but the correct one. The home is so friendly for residents & their families. We have been welcomed fully & become a family again, not full time carers. When we visit on a regular basis, we see the wonderful care given to all residents & join in the fantastic activities planned.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We know how difficult that decision can be, and we're really honoured that you've trusted us with your loved one's care. It means a great deal to hear that you feel welcomed, supported, and part of our Fernleigh Court family. Your feedback truly means so much to our whole team.
My father has been a resident of Fernleigh Court Care and Nursing Home for just over 3 months. He has settled in really well and made lots of new friends. He joins in with the activities, of which there are plenty. The staff are very caring and gentle. They treat the residents like they are family and with utmost respect. The facilities are spotlessly clean and of a very high standard. It is more like a hotel than a care home! It doesn't feel or smell like a care home! I have no complaints about any aspect of care here and it feels very safe and secure. There are nurses on each floor, 24 hours a day as well as other care staff. I would happily move in here myself! Mustn't forget to mention food! Absolutely first class!!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Fernleigh Court Care Home. It is our pleasure to care for your father as part of our family here at Fernleigh.
I cannot commend Fernleigh Court highly enough. The management team and staff have exemplary care to my father who received end of life care at Fernleigh. He was only there for a short time, but it gave all us tremendous comfort to see him in such safe and caring hands. Everyone showed such kindness - to all of us - and treated my father with dignity and respect. The rooms food and facilities are of a very high standard complementing the excellent standard of care. I thank everyone for their care and kindness and would not hesitate to recommend Fernleigh Court to others.
Thank you for taking the time to write a recommendation for Fernleigh Court Care & Nursing Home. Your kind words mean the world to us. We are delighted to hear how happy you are with your father's stay.
From the moment he arrived at Fernleigh, we felt this is the right place. The staff are truly wonderful, compassionate, patient, engaging, activities, and excellent family communication. He feels happy, safe and treated with dignity. Clean, homely environment, great food. He feels he lives in a 5 star hotel.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are thrilled to hear that your experience at Fernleigh has been so positive and that he feels happy, safe, and well-cared for. We are delighted that our environment and services have made him feel at home.
Our dad spent 10 days with you, sadly he passed away quicker than we expected but during his time with you we found his care to be of the highest quality. Nothing was too much trouble and all of the staff had time not only for him but also for us.
The facilities were outstanding and our dad retained his independence until 48 hours before he died.On the day that he died staff were incredibly respectful and food would just arrive that we could help ourselves to as they continued to care for us.
I cannot thank everyone enough, from the care staff, to the cooks the cleaner and the laundry lady who cried when she heard that he had died. I would highly recommend the home.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a touching review. We are truly sorry for your loss and honoured to have cared for your dad during his final days. Your kind words about our staff, facilities, and the support shown to your family mean a great deal and will be shared with the team. Thank you for trusting us with your dad's care. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
My sister became a resident of Fernleigh Court Care & Nursing Home when diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, in the last two months of her life. The wonderful care, empathy and love shown to her by all staff was outstanding. All family and friends visiting her were amazed at the friendliness of all staff, a wonderful, clean 5* home. Exceptional place for her to live, enjoying art, and her birthday.
Your feedback means a great deal to the whole team at Fernleigh Court.
PS the coffee made by the manager was 100%!! :)
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly grateful that you took the time to share your experience. It was a privilege for our team at Fernleigh to care for your dad and to support you and your family during such a difficult time.
My husband was admitted to Fernleigh on 22nd Sept 2025 for end of life care. I could not have asked for a better nursing home for my husband to spend the last two weeks of his life. The manager completed his pre-assessment while he was in hospital, and from the first moment I met her, I knew he would be in excellent care. On admission and for the weeks the weeks he was treated with the utmost care and respect from each and every one of the nursing and care staff. Fernligh will have my heartfelt thanks forever, my husband passed away 8/10/25.
We're truly touched by your...

I have cooked for several high-profile celebrities including Sir Elton John and Princess Diana. My versatility has been an asset throughout my career and I have adapted to different environments having worked in hotels, gastropubs, high-end restaurants and now Fernleigh Court. I even spent 6 months cooking at Yarlswood Detention Centre!
I have mentored students from various local colleges and won a national purple umbrella award with my last apprentice. My name is Michelle and I have been a receptionist here at Fernleigh Court since we opened in November 2019.
Before coming here, I used to volunteer at Bedford Central Club doing Bingo and organising weekly bands to come sing I’m a people person so I love it when my Bistro area is full of residents enjoying themselves with the various activities we have going on whilst enjoying our delicious cakes. I also enjoy puzzles and crosswords so you will often find me helping residents with their jigsaws.
My hobbies include reading (thank you Kindle Unlimited), eating Yorkshire pudding, walking my husky and going away in my caravan and I’m lucky enough to have visited some amazing places which have been recommended by some of our residents who love telling me of their adventures.
