This is a home that looks nice on paper, and looks nice when you walk in; it's one for the family's conscience rather than the resident, which unless you've seen lots of care homes is something you don't realise until you've already chosen to place your family member there. Baycroft Fairfield has not
responded to my family's concerns regarding my grandmother's care appropriately on numerous occasions. I imagine this is a good home for someone with mental capacity but my family have found them totally hands-off for those who lack it, and unfortunately, I don't think it is a good environment for those with dementia, for example, because of low staffing and lack of personalised approach to care. Not worth the money.

Regarding your concerns about a lack of personalised care, we deeply regret any impression that we have not been attentive to individual needs. Our goal is to create a safe and personalised environment. When your grandmother first moved in, she seemed shy, so she was encouraged to join in with activities. Your grandmother is now getting involved in the exercise classes, and other activities plus during one-to-one time she enjoys singing, dancing, and telling stories of her life. It’s lovely to see her coming out of her shell.
We are committed to learning from all feedback and taking meaningful steps towards creating a more enriching environment for all our residents.

Spending a few weeks of respite care after a knee replacement. I have found all members of staff very helpful and friendly. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and there is plenty of choice in the freshly prepared food. Staying here was definitely a good choice.

My mother moved to Baycroft Fairfield for a period of respite care following a serious fall that had reduced her mobility and confidence.
The staff and residents made her feel welcome and included. Her medication, contact with nursing services and a local GP were all arranged quickly.
Over the 8 weeks
of respite, she began to walk with confidence and engage with others. Her diet has improved, her leg ulcers healed but best of all she became much more her old self. She made the difficult decision to remain at Baycroft Fairfield rather than return to living alone.

A wonderful welcoming place. All the staff are very helpful, always smiling and attentive to residents and visitors. A lovely comfortable environment with a calm atmosphere. Mum has settled in quickly and is very happy here. There is a nice varied range of activities to keep the residents active and

On the whole a positive experience. My only criticism would be the speed of answering call buzzers but once assured everything goes well and they are helpful and polite. The place is pleasantly decorated with good quality furniture, more hotel than care home. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. It
makes other care homes look scruffy in comparison.

My mum is resident in the care home for some respite care, pending perhaps moving in on a personal basis. Our experience so far is an excellent one. The staff have been friendly, attentive and extremely helpful towards both my mum and our family.
The home itself is beautifully designed both internally
and externally, allowing family and friends to feel relaxed and comfortable.
The resident accommodation is equally furnished in a lovely pleasing, easy-to-use fashion, with all the modern comforts.
In all the experience has been great so far, including the culinary delights, hence the excellent review.

My children had researched local care homes and recommended Baycroft as the best all-around option. They were right! All aspects are clean, the staff are friendly, the nurses know their stuff and the food is excellent. The only downside is the gym facilities.

The Baycroft Fairfield is lovely and comfortable, cosy and clean and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are marvellous, they are friendly and helpful at all times. I couldn't ask for better care for my husband than what he receives at Baycroft.

My mum came to Baycroft 3 months ago and is really happy. All the staff are so friendly and kind and there is a lovely atmosphere in the home. There is a good variety of activities and Mum has particularly enjoyed the singing and dancing shows. She also enjoys her meals. Visitors are always made welcome
and the bistro is a comfortable place to sit and chat. A lovely outside area which we look forward to using in the spring! Thank you to everyone.

Being on the other side of the world during the time dad spent with you was very hard but knowing how well he was looked after by you all made it easier. When I rang from New Zealand all staff members knew who I was and made me feel welcome and involved in dad's care. I cannot thank you enough.
