Fairfield Manor Care Home

The care that my grandparents have received has been amazing. They even look after the visitors as well.

My mum and dad are in this care home and the care they have received has been amazing. The staff are amazing and the food is lovely they also get a choice. Excellent. Couldn't complain about a thing.

There is not a single thing we could mention as a negative. My mother-in-law's care has been beyond exemplary.

I have now been here for 2 years and have found the facilities to be very good and the staff good and caring. The food is good and I am pleased to see a little more variety brought onto the menu. The activities are varied but often hampered by changes and shortages of staff. I would also like to see the training room upstairs to be used more frequently. I believe the change of ownership has caused some unease and anxiety but hopefully, this will improve and things settle down.

I am commenting on behalf of my wife. The standard of this care home should be the goal that all care homes should strive for.

All the staff were friendly and kind, which we really appreciated at a difficult time.

Mum has only been here five weeks, and the care has been amazing. Mum is now back in the human race. Mum is flourishing, nothing too much trouble, and the staff lovely. They have all looked after me too!

I spoke with client privately in her room. Staff were very respectful of our private conversation. I met with managers to view care plan and daily logs. They were extremely professional and very helpful with all my questions.

Two weeks respite were fantastic and I really had a great time, wonderful care home and staff. Food was fresh and delicious. I look forward to my next visit. Thanks everybody. Good team building with other residents made good friends.

This is the third time my brother has been for respite at Baycroft Fairfield Care Home. Each time the staff have shown care and concern, friendliness and support, both for my brother and myself. The kindness is always there. The food is very good and cups of tea when I bring my brother back to Fairfield after taking him out are very welcomed. My brother's room is very clean with everything he needs. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I would like my brother to live permanently at Fairfield in due course.

This was a difficult time for me but there was a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Management and staff were attentive and caring. Heartfelt thanks for my time of respite care.

This is a home that looks nice on paper, and looks nice when you walk in; it's one for the family's conscience rather than the resident, which unless you've seen lots of care homes is something you don't realise until you've already chosen to place your family member there. Baycroft Fairfield has not responded to my family's concerns regarding my grandmother's care appropriately on numerous occasions. I imagine this is a good home for someone with mental capacity but my family have found them totally hands-off for those who lack it, and unfortunately, I don't think it is a good environment for those with dementia, for example, because of low staffing and lack of personalised approach to care. Not worth the money.

All staff have been so friendly and helpful, even if no previous contact. They can never do enough for residents or family. Thank you.

When entering the care home, it gives one of the opinion it is almost home from home. Friendly care is obvious and staff are very helpful. Would certainly recommend.

Very happy overall with Mother's care.

Spending a few weeks of respite care after a knee replacement. I have found all members of staff very helpful and friendly. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and there is plenty of choice in the freshly prepared food. Staying here was definitely a good choice.

Over the 8 weeks of respite, she began to walk with confidence and engage with others. Her diet has improved, her leg ulcers healed but best of all she became much more her old self. She made the difficult decision to remain at Baycroft Fairfield rather than return to living alone.

A wonderful welcoming place. All the staff are very helpful, always smiling and attentive to residents and visitors. A lovely comfortable environment with a calm atmosphere. Mum has settled in quickly and is very happy here. There is a nice varied range of activities to keep the residents active and engaged.
